Shiki Sasuke is an attractive, well-built shinigami. He is of average height and possesses a slim, muscular frame. Due to his immense training Sasuke is extremely fit, with a solid muscular cut body that possess great agility and flexibility. His skin is smooth and has a slight tan. He has a dark navy almost black medium length straight hair that is spiky at the back with multiple bangs of hair covering his face especially his left eye and half of his left cheek. He uniquely has amber eyes with a prominent scar across his right eye and down his cheek. He still however possesses a handsome face with a sharp nose and defined jaw line. He usually has a serious look on his face with his eyes also possessing a cold stare at any who bother him. Surprisingly it is this serious look that attracts many girls to him much to his annoyance. Sasuke wears a unique outfit design especially for the mission requirements of the 2nd division. He wears a tight hugging black vest with matching leather arm covers that extend from just above his elbow all along his arm and covering his hands. He wears a tight fitting pants as well giving him freedom of movement and stealth with boots that come all the way to his knees, covered with multiple straps. He also wears an extra maroon garment cloth around his waist at the back. He most prominent clothing however is his maroon scarf around his neck which hangs along his back until his waist and a silver beaded necklace that hangs from his hair on the left side of his face. The necklace is the broken necklace of his sister that he repaired and tied to his hair to remember her with its trademark cross hanging next to his heart.

Human Life
Sasuke was born into an average family of four with two parents and an older sister named Yuuki in the city of Tokyo, Japan. At the young age of 5 both his parents died in a train crash on their way home from a business meeting leaving Sasuke and his sister with no other living relative, only to be moved to a orphanage. Yuuki who was 3 years older than Sasuke assumed a mother role in looking after him in the orphanage. The years in the orphanage were hard with the siblings struggling to survive with little food and Sasuke who had to deal with constant bullies and fights. At the age of 13, Sasuke’s sister fell ill with a cancer and he began to steal in order to provide her with medication. They were soon saved when a wealthy business man with no children offered Sasuke the necessary money in return he becomes the heir to his business. Sasuke agreed and they both were adopted with him studying constantly in business, science, accounting and even kendo to become the required heir. Despite gaining the required medication Yuuki still died and it left Sasuke devastated. With nothing left to live for he continued his studies until meeting death in a car accident at the age of 20.
After death
After his death, it was in the streets of Rukongai that Sasuke began his 3 year long search for his sister, battling and getting into many fights along the way, even earning him the nickname Black Reaper for his coldness in battle and the swift manner he dealt with opponents. After 3 years he found her by accident when fighting in the 61 district, as it was his sister who disrupted the fight. After their happy reunion Sasuke found out much to his surprise that Yuuki had become a 2nd Division Shinigami and worse still she had married the Lieutenant of the 2nd Division named Shiki Ryoken and who was also part of the noble Shiki House. Reluctantly he accepted the clan and was soon entered into the Academy under the name Shiki. He soon became jealous of Yuuki’s husband who was now the center of her attention and protecting her in his place and Sasuke vowed to become stronger than him. Sasuke was praised as a genius in the academy, coming top of his classes and possessing prior combat knowledge from his human days and many fights, combined with his keen battle tactics and intelligence and a large amount of reiatsu. A year past and while on a training mission against weak Hollows, Sasuke overconfident in his abilities ran off on his own into the wasteland to battle stronger Hollows himself. Sasuke managed to hold of weaker Hollows himself but the arrival of a lone newly transformed Arrancar turned the tide against him. About to be killed, the arrival of his sister and brother-in-law help even the battle out but things still looked bleak as they battled it. Sasuke powerless and helpless could only watch as the duo appeared to luck out and defeat the Arrancar, however unknown to them it possessed the ability to possess and take control of a body and it took control of Yuuki’s body. With a new body the Arrancar killed Ryoken from behind and turned his attention to the weakened Sasuke. As the Arrancar was about to deliver the final blow Yuuki’s personality managed to take control for a moment as she could not allow her own body to kill her beloved brother. She made a simple yet impossible request of Sasuke, ”Please live.” With tears in his eyes Sasuke understood and with his own blade ended the life of both the Arrancar and his sister as one, the Arrancar not being able to resist because of Yuuki’s sacrifice of her body. Sasuke would mourn his sister’s death for another few months and continued his training in the Academy, eventually graduating after 3 years.
Harsh Training and Redemption
Blaming himself for his sister’s death Sasuke began his training all over again, continuing his training after his 30 years of Academy training on his own instead of joining a division. He broke down his training into various steps that each dealt with his different weakness. He began reviving his sword training, learning various styles of combat such as Tae-Kwon-do, Kendo, Tai Chi, Jujutsu and Kenjutsu or more specifically Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu. The result of 30 years of this training resulted in Sasuke developing his own unique sword style called Dance of the Crescent Moon, which implements various attributes from different styles into a single form. The style uses the principles in Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu to effectively utilize a katana in one hand to parry and strike with the same power as when held in two hands, thus giving the wielder more variety of movement, and the ability and strength needed to suddenly change the swords direction mid swing to catch the opponent off-guard. The principles of Tai Chi are also infused to allows the user to use various fluid movements in accordance with the opponents movements, removing wasted movement and allowing the user to move in sync with the opponent and counter attack effectively based on the opponents movement and positioning. Finally this style also utilizes Jujutsu to center the user’s center of gravity and body positioning to effectively use the opponents own force and weight of the strike against them to oncoming attack counter. Despite mastering his swordplay, Sasuke spent another 38 years training his senses to allow them to pick up an opponents movements effectively, especially his reiatsu sensing ability to be acute and accurate as well as masking his own reiatsu to hide it completely. He would also train his Shunpo during these years as well as seeking a new purpose for his life. After spending 68 years training to remove the weakness that cost him his only sister, Sasuke soon joined the 2nd division and with the words of his sister’s request still in his mind he plans to continue moving forward.

Zanpakutou
Appearance:
Tsuirakuten is a long metal katana. The blade itself is a sparkling silver metal with a traditional flowing wave fold pattern along the edge of the blade. The handle has a black band wrapped around the handle to get a better grip and the guard is round in the shape of two rings that combine to form a loop and is coloured with the same sparkling silver as the blade. The handle is made of the same material as the blade but is covered with a black braid cord and ray skin. The pattern of white diamonds as like most katana is still retained. The scabbard which houses Tsuirakuten is made from a smooth, lacquered oak wood covered by a thin layer of steel-adamant. It is coated as a protective measure before being painted black. The blade itself has a normal curve arc that a Japanese blade has and is about 5/16” thick, has a one sided edge and 95cm in length. The katana is usually sashed across Sasuke’s back in a black leather belt with the hilt facing vertically over his right shoulder allowing easy access for his right hand.
In its released Shikai form, Tsuirakuten transforms dramatically and is one of the reasons he is called the Black Reaper. The blade grows in length to a longer length of 150cm, losing some of its curve as well as becoming pitch black with red teeth fold markings along the edge. The handle gains a new red and black grip in place with the same white diamond pattern and the guard changes to form a new black round design.
In its released Shikai form, Tsuirakuten transforms dramatically and is one of the reasons he is called the Black Reaper. Manifestation:
Tsuirakuten takes the form of a young slender angelic woman with a pale pearl-like face. She has long flowing blonde hair that flows around and the length of her body till her knees. She wears no clothing at all but her long golden locks covers up most of her body and the parts that are not are usually covered by her two white angelic wings, which are usually folded around her body. She usually sits in an egg like structure and has on occasion even hatched out of it and she always sits and talks from that elevated point and has on occasion invited Sasuke to share it with her. She is also able to form a sealed form of Tsuirakuten that she forms by combining feathers that are hovering around her into the blade. Tsuirakuten is arrogant and brash and views herself as the oldest and most powerful zanpakutou, with only the one she chooses to wield her. She can be cheerful at times but normally Sasuke with his serious personality finds that disgusting. Around Sasuke or in his presence she is playful and flirtatious, commenting on his good looks and abilities, always looking for an excuse for him to unlock his true power through her. Despite her flirtatious personality she can be ruthless especially when Sasuke is in battle and always encourages him to destroy his opponents completely and swiftly.
Inner World:
Tsuirakuten’s inner world is that of an underground city. It is filled with infinite different pathways and rooms but in the very centre of it where Tsuirakuten resides is inside a huge cathedral-like structure with many intricate sculptures and design patterns on it. The room itself is huge with it being completely made of stone with dancing coloured lights that fill it up from numerous pattern stained glass windows around the room.
