Appearance:
As part of a noble family, Kokaku is a natural beauty, white skin that will never goes dark. Even when he is in the army for few years, training under the sun for most of the time, his skin still retains the whiteness. He doesn't really like his skin though because it seems pale in his opinion which makes him looks like a female more than a male.
His hair makes him even more like a female. It is long, silky and elegant in a way. His hair is silvery white in color and his pupils has the weird glow of purple. Some people thinks it is beautiful but some thinks that it's a sign of devil. Either way, that doesn't affect Kokaru at anyway.
His body build is leaning to the thin or lean side but still he has beautiful muscle line, mostly due to his training in the army. His normal outfit is pretty ordinary - the black robe of the shinigami without any changes or added accessories. Casual clothing? Well, he wears almost anything depends on his feeling when he is off-duty. He places his sword on the right side of his waist as his dominant hand is left hand.
History:
Kokaku was born in a noble family, enjoyed the glamorous life of a noble until he was eighteen. Well, his noble life wasn't really eventful, he lived, enjoyed, and was proud of it. Everything changed when he was forcefully recruited to the army when he in his eighteenth. That year, he went through the training that was like a torture to him. Eating pathetic civilian-class food, training under the heat of the giant sun, sleep with people that has sweaty and bad smell odor everyday, life couldn't have sucks better.
Still, he endured through it, he has to prove that not all noble are pathetic weakling that couldn't take army training like a man. His pride forced him to endure and live through everyday and so his skinny body eventually became a well-built body. Not as muscular as some of his comrades, but still well-toned. He could actually resign from the army and go back home when he was twenty-one but then World War I forced him to stay in the army and participate in the war.
After nine months of fighting as a proud Japanese soldier, Kokaku ate the mud in the battlefield, died as three bullets shot through his body. Even he didn't know where the flying heck was the place he died at and his body was probably not buried in a proper way. His eternal sleep turned to be not eternal at all, he awoke at a brand new place to himself. It was Rukongai, he awoke inside an inn. The inn owner found him sleeping at the street on the previous night, he really went through a long sleep. The inn owner explained him about the Soul Society, not too much but just everything the inn owner knew about.
"Wow great, never thought that the world of the dead is like this." This was Kokaku's response and his first spoken word in the Soul Society. His new life began, as a waiter of the inn in the 17th district of Rukongai. His noble luck didn't run out, for he was lucky to fall into the 17th district out of the 80 districts.
He worked for few years as a waiter before he knew about the Soul Society. He realized that he missed the life in the army more than his peaceful, noble life and so he joined the Shinigami Academy. He was quite talented and graduated after ten years of hard work in the academy. He was then assigned to the 8th Division, for he has the speed and stealthy nature despite his height and his talent in Kido. Now, his new life began, the life of a Shinigami.

Zanpakutou
Appearance:
Kuraijurei, much like his name, is a black-bladed katana. The whole katana is black, so is its shealth. The hilt has diamond pattern in blood red color, showing that this katana is bloodthirsty and evil in a sense. The hilt's length is 11cm and the blade's length is 66cm, a little shorter than the general blade length, and that makes the total length of the katana 77cm. The blade is not as curvy as an ordinary katana, it just curves a little.
Shikai:
The sword will eventually turned into a scythe in shikai. The color is still, black and red. The length of the handle(or known as snaith) is 170cm and the long, curvy blade is 80cm. It would seems like this weapon is quite heavy by itself but then it is actually lighter than it looks. The opposite site of the blade is very sharp as well, it looks like the shape of the tip of any bladed weapon and is 12cm in length.
Manifestation:
The manifestation of Kuraijurei is a spirit inside a worn robe, much like a reaper but there's nothing to be seen inside the robe beside darkness. It is actually a human size black spirit inside the robe, it has no voice, it can't talk but Kokaku can know what his manifestation wanted to tell him through telepathy. It is a one-sided telepathy communication though because Kokaku can never use telepathy on the manifestation. Kokaku gave the manifestation a name, "Kuronbo"(Black Person). Kuronbo has its scythe in its hand most of the time and he loves to spar with Kokaku. Kuronbo is always calm and not talkactive at all, it only says a few words at a time and Kokaku has to think of the meaning of its saying by expanding the "words" into a complete sentence.
Inner World:
The inner world of Kuraijurei is a beautiful wilderness filled with flowers, trees, and mountains. Despite the beautifulness, the world is colorless. Only things that are around thirty meters of Kokaku has color, for he brings color into the world. This world has the kind of beautiful yet sad feelings. The manifestation, Kuronbo has no color at all, even though he is standing within the "color aura" of Kokaku. The world has no sun or moon and the sky is totally colorless, even the sky vertically above Kokaku has no color at all.

Description: The user gathers a tiny amount of reiatsu to the fingertip of their dominant index finger, extending it outward along with the middle finger. The other fingers are folded into the palm. The user then lays the palm of their off hand face-down on the wrist of the dominant hand. The fingertip will swell with blue-white energy before exploding forward in a narrow, piercing beam of white lightning-like reiatsu, capable of punching holes through opponents.
Incantation: White chariot! Blue soldiers, rustled leaves, thirteen black clouds, unleash the sky! Hado no Yon: Byakurai!

Description: The user gathers reiatsu into their dominant hand, extending their palm forward with the middle and index fingers pointing straight up and the fingers folded into the palm. The user then places the middle and index finger of the off hand behind the dominant hand like a cross. A cross-shaped blast of red fire-like reiatsu will blast from the user’s fingertips, severely burning the target.
Incantation: Red and black chapel! A thousand fireflies, ten thousand lost souls, descend and converge, hall in the shrine of the inferno, burst free the blood of conflagration! Hado no Nijuuyon: Keijuujika!

Description: The user gathers reiatsu into the palm of their dominant hand, extending their palm forward. The user then places their off hand on their wrist, wrapping their fingers around it. They then gather the reiatsu into a ball of energy floating in front of the palm. The user then releases the ball of red energy forward like a cannon-ball. It will explode on contact with anything, much like a grenade or rocket.
Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado no Sanjuuichi: Shakkahō!

Hadō No. 33: Sōkatsui (Way of Destruction No. 33: Blue Fire, Crash Down)
Type: Destruction Art.
Description: The user gather reiatsu to their fingers, extending the palm of their dominant hand to point towards the target, fingers extended. The off hand is placed on the dominant shoulder, with the palm facing away from the body. The index and middle fingers of the off hand are extended straight up and the rest are folded into the palm. The dominant hand will crackle with blue energy before releasing a large, flame-like burst of reiatsu from that spreads out in a wide cone fashion, dealing harsh burns to whatever is struck by the reiatsu.
Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! Hado no Sanjuusan: Sōkatsui!

Bakudo
- Bakudō No. 4: Hainawa (Way of Binding No. 4: Crawling Rope)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: An ability that is both simplistic and useful, and as such it can commonly be seen in practice. It is especially favored amongst members of the Fourth Division, who cannot get a patient to stop struggling against treatment. Gathering Reiatsu, the user will speak the incantation, and then condense the energy as a chain of light from the index and middle fingers of the user's dominant hand, which are held together. The chain will then quickly fly towards the opponent, attempting to act as a restraint to prohibit the opponent from moving. Once bound, the chain is capable of being tied to another object to hold the opponent; the user is not required to maintain the connection between the chain and their hand, allowing them to then perform other actions.
Incantation: My will to succeed be the rope that sustains you; let my breath of light be the light to guide you. Bakudo no Yon: Hainawa!

Type: Binding Art.
Description: Condensing the user's reiatsu in front of them, they create a small golden-colored shield of energy. The technique's defensive capability is, unfortunately, highly limited, and even the most powerful of casters will find the ability only capable of blocking Kidō of the first Category. However, a secondary ability exists within the spell as well: opponents why physically strike the shield will be knocked backwards, sending them flying a few feet. It also paralyzes the limb that struck it for one turn.
Incantation: The royal protector, true in heart and mind, know the owner of the crown and pledge loyalty unto him. Bakudō no Hachi: Seki!

Description: Extending the caster's dominant hand forward, they will then begin the incantation for the spell. A red light will begin to completely envelop them, similar to new casters of the Shakkaō. When the incantation is finished, the red light will form as a thin beam of energy, which then flies towards the opponent. The red light, upon striking the opponent, will completely envelop them, hindering any and all movements, greatly reducing their speed capabilities. A sufficient counterspell is required to break the technique, as brute physical force cannot release them from something that is not completely restraining them. Lasts for three turns.
Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!

Bakudō No. 39: Enkosan (Way of Binding No. 39: Arc Shield)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: Creates a spinning shield of energy in front of the user. Gathering reiatsu within the caster's dominant hand, they will then begin chanting the incantation. Eight strands of light will appear to 'star' out from the hand. When the incantation is complete, the energy will begin to rapidly spin, creating an effective barrier against incoming attacks. This spell has the capability to blows and destructive spells up to No. 44.
Incantation: Six stranded star, silken crescent, begin your graceful whirls amongst the will of the sky, and let your true place as protector begin to shine. Bakudo No Sanjukyuu: Enkosan!
