Jiro moved slowly through the alleyways of Karakura Town Square. His desire to feast on simple, pathetic humans was slowly draining from him. After his encounter with a Shinigami, that was all he could think about. Wonder about. Ponder about.
Obsess about.
It began to drive him more crazed than he already was--a difficult task indeed. The abomination moved about in an attempt to find his new meal. Never had he tasted a soul so strong as a Shinigami's--never had he had such a pleasure.
But he would.
Soon, he demanded, that he would feast on a Shinigami soon. It sent a shiver down his spine, simply thinking of how magnificent such a feast would be. The more he thought of it, the faster he began to move, and the more spontaneously his yellow orbs began to dash about, left and right, hopelessly searching for that black uniform.
He emerged from the alleyways into a smaller open area, behind two large skyscrapers. The parking lot was empty, save for a car or two. To his left, past the large buildings, was the busiest area of Karakura Town--the town square. Calming himself, he began to move more slowly, more controlled.

The area darkened as black ripples bombarded the empty blue sky, soon forming into several large cracks which bleed outward to reveal the hollow portal; garganta. From the murky abyss of the portal escaped an immense sized hollow of Gillian class. He stood taller than most of the buildings surrounding the area, appearing to be nothing more than a shrouded black pillar to those bellow him.
Each step the creature toke sent shock waves into the earth, shattering the nearby lamp posts and sending a rain of shards in all directions. The hollow searched each and every corner of the streets he passed by as he attempted to hunt down something his could feast upon with his jagged teeth. Perhaps it was the fact that the hollow had just recently reached his next stage of evolution that was causing his unquenchable thirst for blood, or perhaps it was down to his size, either way the hollow needed something that would satisfy him and quickly.
The place in which he had decided to reveal himself was less than desolate, showing few if no signs of life. With hunger shrouding both his mind and judgment, Ezequiel would take several large leaps as he reached the town square, an area known to be littered with human souls. Taking no regard of his surroundings or who may be watching, the hollow immediately began his feeding frenzy, swallowing both humans and chunks of concrete whole.

Ripping itself a new temporary home in the bosom of the human dimension, the Garganta's gaping mouth introduced myself into the light of the human world. It was very unlike me to roam around the during the the day but there was an odd calling that compelled me to travel here. Within seconds, I could already see one of the reasons this area, Karakura Town Square, would be of interest this day. Looking from a distance, I could already see the massive black figure trekking over the town; a Gillian like myself though much larger than me. I did not enjoy the look of such a humongous body, a clumsy looking figure made me feel fortunate I possessed a much smaller body than most Gillians.
Watching as the creature began its reign of terror and mayhem, I initiated my Pesquisa to make sure there were no enemies within the vicinity of me or the large Gillian. Upon my inspection, I detected something I did not expect, yet another Hollow was within the vicinity of the larger Hollow. It seemed today was one of much intriguing events, likely causing trouble and death for the humans of this world. I wondered if there would be a Shinigami or anything of the like who would be foolish enough to fight against three Hollow at once, especially ones so powerful. I could tell the mindless Gillian was not much weaker than I was though the other felt new, a sapling of a Hollow, albeit still strong enough.
Taking my first steps out from the Garganta, I had failed to realize the extended amount of time I stood within the mass of darkness and dancing shadows. Once fully exited from the Garganta, the creations form closed behind me as I started my quickening pace toward the focal point of all this commotion. Due to my high level of speed, I reached the center of the town square within moments; standing on the other side of the square, opposite the Gillian. Looking to the massive creature, I averted my attention to local area, scanning it with yellow oculi for the other Hollow presence I sensed before.
"Seems today will be most interesting" My voice full of a joy-like emotion. It was unusual for such an amount of Hollow to congregate, even if by mere coincidence.[/blockquote]

Jiro couldn't help but notice the quaking footsteps that had suddenly begun pounding the ground somewhere behind him. With a snarl he turned to view the one responsible--a massive Hollow, standing taller than even the skyscrapers in the area. Jiro cursed under his breath--competition for what he already had trouble finding.
Or an ally.
Still, Jiro was a bit nervous. This Hollow seemed somehow . . . stronger than himself. Perhaps competition wasn't the right word . . . Still, the situation itself was an intriguing one to Jiro; it wasn't often that he had encountered all that many other Hollows, in Karakura or Hueco Mundo.
Then the situation got even more interesting. A second Hollow, smaller than the other but larger than Jiro himself, appeared. He seemed far more . . . tame. Instead of ravaging the town, tearing buildings and Humans apart, he looked upon the scene and spoke with a joyful tone.
And although unsure of what would happen, Jiro couldn't help but agree. Three Hollows in one place . . . perhaps it would lure any Shinigami into Jiro's grasp--or perhaps it would scare them away. Either way, something about the largest Hollow's frenzy enticed Jiro. He began a dash towards a more populated area, ripping a few trees from the very ground their roots infected.

The mass of screams and flailing soon died down, revealing nothing more than emptiness as the humans which once resided the area in great numbers were turned into snacks, or at least those whom weren’t as fortunate as the few who escaped from the invisible demon. Wiping his blood stained mask, the hollow would look up toward the second Gillian standing on opposite sides of the town square, just noticing his presence for the first time since his arrival.
With his hunger quenched at least until dawn, Ezequiel regained that which had been temporarily locked away from him since his transition into the Gillian class; his sanity. Like the first breath of air after drowning, indescribable emotions flooded the hollow as his inner intelligence awoke from his previous state of being ruled by his primitive instincts which drove his body on despite the lack of consciousness.
An air of familiarity surrounded the second Gillian, who seemed unusually minuscule despite him being no less weak if not stronger than Ezequiel. Perhaps the two had met before or much more likely had cross paths in battle, either way he just had no clear recollection or at least none at this point in time. Having only now just noticed the other fast approaching reiatsu, the hollow knew that he would have to interrogate the creature standing in front of him in an attempt to figure out whether it was a foe or friend before anymore arivals, if it were possible for hollows to have such relations with others that is.
“You there, what business do you have with me?” His voice was almost lifeless, showing no signs of fear or pride.

As I watched the massacre ensure, all too soon would the commotion end as the massive Gillian ended its killing spree. Moments after the creature ended its feasting, I felt a sudden change within the reiatsu the creature emitted; something familiar about the consistency of the energy attempted to jog my memory of the past. This familiarity lost to me before due to the hunger the creature emitted, the savage emotions emanating from the hid all signs of similarity to myself, making him seem like nothing more than a monster. As words echoed from the mouth of the Gillian, I found it shocking I met another Hollow of intelligence; initially thinking he was no different from the less intelligent Gillian who roam the deserts of Hueco Mundo.
My mind still attempting to remember where I felt this reiatsu signature before, I thought it best to answer the Gillians question. I did not wish to be identified as an enemy and cause a battle to ensue — I was tired of battles as it was.
"Business? None whatsoever. I just happen to pass by here. Also, do you not find it rude to question someone without first introducing oneself?" I spoke more than I wish to but my partly restored human emotions gave way to such words. There was no hostile intent, something I wish the Gillian caught on. Looking away from the massive creature, I turned to notice the other reiatsu signature drawing ever closer to them. Eyes catching sight of the other hollow, the animalistic creature charging toward a group of fleeing humans. It had been a long time since I last saw such savagery, besides from the Gillian. I could not help but be amused by the Hollows instinctive actions; thinking of nothing more than feeding or perhaps he possessed some sort of intelligence? Whatever the case may be, I contemplated over what my next course of actions would be as I continuously looked back and forth between the Gillian and Hollow. An annoying feeling consuming me, the familiar reiatsu emitting from the Gillian almost drove me over the edge. I was 100 percent sure I felt this energy before; closing my eyes as I attempted to reminisce about all of my past encounters. Almost immediately, it hit me; turning to look at the Gillian, I was finally able to remember where I had felt the presence of this creature before. Within the past, I had saved a Hollow from the clutches of three Shinigami where I temporarily made him my servant in hopes of kidnapping two female Shinigami. Though I lost my captives a while back, I had forgotten about the Hollow of that time until just now. Analyzing his figure a second time, I could not believe just how much that human-like Hollow had changed — completely different. "Gillian, do you not remember me? Even after I saved you from the clutches of three Shinigami?" Hopefully, those words would be enough to jog the memories of the Gillian as I looked back to watch the other Hollow. "How very interesting. Oh, Gillian, do you possess a name for yourself? I do. I go by the name Animus . . ." A slight pause "And you Hollow! Do you possess any intelligence or even a name!?" A question directed at the other Hollow hoping to gain its attention and to figure out if he would be ally or enemy.[/blockquote]

Jiro ripped through the Humans like a saw, tearing, slicing, devouring. It had been a while since he had gone so far, killed so many. Something about the taste of their souls was almost . . . unsatisfying. It felt incomplete. Weak. Jiro wanted something more. He looked down at the last Human that he crushed beneath his claw, only just realizing that this was the last of a rather populated group. It hadn't felt like very much--Jiro turned, disappointed. He left the last Human there, crushed and lifeless.
Had the other two been conversing? Any other Hollow Jiro had encountered didn't seem capable of such a thing. Of course, he hadn't encountered any Hollows quite like the two before him, either. Still, it perked the Hollow's interest and, though his hunger was not forgotten, it was quelled if only for a moment. He began a slow trek over to the others. Any Humans in the area had fled or died, leaving the place barren and deserted. It was odd, seeing the square so busy, and then suddenly so empty. Cars remained, some still running but abandoned, some remained only a pile of wreckage.
It seemed to Jiro that the two present before him were . . . acquaintances? This was the first time Jiro had encountered any Hollows with relations even near friendly. It was likely a relation of gain for the both of them, and nothing more, but, still, it was unfamiliar to Jiro. He was unsure of how these Hollows would react to someone new, then. Apparently the smaller one was named Animus. Suddenly he was called out to. Any intelligence . . . or a name? Of course.
"Jiro," I spoke in a hoarse, scratchy baritone, "I posses more intelligence than apparently some of these Humans do." The situation continually became more and more unorthodox. The last thing that was generally expected to come out of a Hollows mouth was the question of weather or not an entity possessed any intelligence. Perhaps Jiro was simply far too new to everything spiritual . . .

In an attempt to jog his memory, the hollow spent a few moments reminiscing over his past battles. The traces of reiatsu the other Gillian was emitting unconsciously felt far too familiar to be a mere coincidence, leaving Ezequiel with no doubt in his mind; the two had certainly met before. In his attempt to recollect pass events, the hollows mind was drawn to a specific past experience, or more specifically an all out battle against a group of shinigami.
Though he would have rather forgotten about it, he did have some recollection of being saved by a Gillian amidst the frenzy of incoming blades. Could it be possible that this was the same Gillian in question? Though his choice of words in his reply were irritating, a far more annoying prospect would be the thought that the Gillian felt Ezequiel owed him in some way. Though it was undeniable that his life had been saved by the creature who had just revealed himself as Animus, if his arrival was an attempt to get Ezequiel to repay his dept, then he would have to return empty handed.
“I see, now I remember you. I am Ezequiel. Though I have to say I am surprised you managed to recognize me in this form.” It was out of common courtesy that the hollow decided to reveal his name; however he still had no clear indication behind Animus’s arrival. Was he seeking a battle or was it a mere coincidence that the two had once again cross paths, either way the Gillian was sure as to not let his guard down in the creatures presence.
The smaller beast like hollow had already reached the now desolate town square, which appeared to have been ravaged by an earth quake. Rather pleased with his handy work, Ezequiel looked around at the chunks of tarmac and glass which littered the area. Despite Jiro pinching at his curiosity, at this moment the Gillian was far more fixated at Animus or rather what had become of his two hostages.
“By the way, whatever happened to the two shinigami who you fought so hard to kidnap?”

Awaiting an answer from both entities, I soon received what I desired. The Gillian introducing itself as Ezequiel while the smaller Hollow introduced itself as Jiro; even going as far as to say he possessed more intelligence than most humans. I could not deny that such a fact was undoubtedly true but I knew it was nothing more than a small portion of the truth; the truth that told of how we did not know anything at all. Despite my own intelligence being of a higher caliber than most Hollow, I was nothing compared to the humans of the world; a fact I had already come to terms with. Though they may be small, meager and weak, their intelligence is what allows them to stand above other creatures in power — even Hollow and Shinigami alike.
As I prepared to speak another inquiry, Ezequiel had directed one at me, causing a shift in my mood immediately. The reiatsu emitting from me fluctuating violently, only an idiot could not tell I was annoyed by the mere subject of the two female Shinigami I captured within the past. Simply replaying the scenes of that event sent the emotions within me swelling wildly; my killer intent clearly sensed by everyone though directed at none of them. One could tell the energy to kill was not hostile, in the sense it did not send a cold shiver down ones spine, only a slight discomfort. Looking back to Ezequiel, I was forced to answer a question I did not wish to answer.
"Due to a major annoyance, my fun was ended before it could even begin." The annoyance I referred to would be the male Shinigami who was present at that time. "The Shinigami sent an agent to retrieve their captive Shinigami and I was forced to retreat due to personal reasons." A bitter taste left in my mouth for even referring to that despicable Shinigami. Taking a few deep breaths, my anger slowly began to subside; the fluctuations in my reiatsu abruptly ending. Wishing to rid myself of the thoughts of that situation, I averted my attention to Jiro who had already finished his little rampage. As Ezequiel and I knew each other — though possessing no trust for one another — Jiro would be the only one outside of the loop. I could sense the power emanating from within him, untamed and untrained but powerful nonetheless. He would prove to be a useful ally within the future, so I thought it best to persuade him to be friendly toward Ezequiel and I — then again, he is a Hollow after all. There was no telling what he would do in these types of situations though I still thought ti best to try and at least make some sort of connection. "Jiro, I see. So, Jiro, if you possess more intelligence than most humans, do you think you can answer this question with an answer to call your own? Do you believe our meeting to be the work of fate or a collection of circumstantial events?" A slight pause, questioning myself if it would be wise to also ask the Gillian for an answer — I soon chose yes. "This question is also directed at you, Ezequiel. I wish to hear what you have to say about such a question."[/blockquote]

Jiro remained silent as the two Gillian continued their conversation. It was obvious Animus was rather irritated with the conversation simply by his words. The Hollow could imagine the situation and what may have happened. This was unsettling to Jiro--the two Gillian were obviously much more experienced than Jiro just by their conversation, and the Hollow was unsure of what exactly his anger would mean.
But Animus took a few deep breaths and changed the subject, which apparently calmed him. Jiro wasn't sure if the Gillian was being sarcastic with his comment first directed at Jiro.
If I possess more intelligence than most Humans, Jiro thought, Most Humans are conceited, idiotic creatures. Only very few of them are extremely intelligent . . . The bitterness of his Human self had carried over into a hatred of Humans, and a sort of elevated feeling of power over them. He simply found that most Humans were content with their life of ignorance and bliss.
"A meeting of fate or circumstantial events?" Jiro pondered for only a moment, "Simple coincidence. Nothing more." Jiro explained, his yellow orbs darting about, his hunger beginning to take hold of his mind. Something about the two Gillian before him allowed him to simply overpower his insatiable hunger, a hunger that Jiro was beginning to realize that only strong souls would quell. Jiro was almost relieved that there was nothing tempting within his eyesight, however, as he did not wish to fall victim to his urges and feast, not before the two Gillian. It would seem animalistic, in the middle of a conversation.

Once it had been revealed that the two females had escaped from Animus’s clutches, Ezequiel restrained himself from bursting into laughter. He was weary of the fact that his actions could provoke a battle with the Gillian, none the less he found it utterly amusing that a hollow could be outdone by a shinigami. Although I suppose he was still in denial about his recent run-in with a duo consisting of a robed roach and human which ended in an utter defeat.
Clearly the idea of losing was something both Gillian truly despised, the mere thought of which sparked a mixture of rage and disgust as he reflected over his not so perfect confrontation. In an attempt to drown his emotions in conversation, he looked over to Animus who uttered a question, aimed at both Ezequiel and the smaller hollow named Jiro.
Fate seemed as a crude way of putting things, after all ‘fate’ is nothing more than an illusion, an excuse given to events yet to come which are deemed unavoidable, or at least to those who have neither the will nor power to change them. Though the gathering of the three hollows seemed like a useless thing to ponder over, it was undeniable that it would play some deeper roll in the future. In his mind however, Ezequiel detested the idea that his destiny was not something he and he alone had the power to shape, the mere thought of someone else having control over it brew disgust in his warped mind.
“I would say our actions brought us here. A long chain of actions and decisions, each one linking together until finally leading to an eventual reunion.” Though it was spoken in a roundabout way, this was basically Ezequiel’s own way of saying it was more than a coincidence, however he himself choose to follow fates whim.

Something reminiscent of a smile formed upon my white milky mask, a certain joy overwhelming me from within. It never ceased to amuse and fascinate me just how different people were, especially Hollow as I assumed we were all just monsters. Creatures who followed our natural instincts to feed to no end, consuming everything within grasp without any remorse. How wrong I was; each and every Hollow possessed a mind of their own — with their own feelings, thoughts and beliefs. Even though I usually asked many about their opinion on this particular subject, only recently did I figure out my own answer to such a question.
Thinking back to the answer from both Hollow, I found it interesting that the both of them were completely different from one another; almost opposite to one another, actually. While Jiro answered the answer in a blunt manner — his answer already within hand — Ezequiel answered in a manner I did not expect of a Hollow. His words made it seem like he did not know, or rather he was neither against a choice or with it; in between both opinions. Truthfully, I did not expect either of them to answer me at all so that mere fact was a surprise in itself as well. Suddenly realizing that I had drifted off into my thoughts, I found it rather rude I did not express my own opinion of the matter to the two of them.
"Interesting. I believe our paths are set but how we choose to follow it is up to us. A mystery around each corner, behind each door and right in front of us but we simply fail to see it." Deep, those were the only words I could think of to describe what I thought of the matter. It was very unfitting of a Hollow to talk of such a thing and something entirely else to truly believe in such a thought. I did believe in my own words, I truly thought that was how the world worked; leaving us to our whims but the end will always be the same. Everyone shares the same path in life, no one can escape it no matter how much one might try. Though each of our paths differ as we walk down that road, we may occasionally cross paths with others but sooner or later, we must part. For in the end, there is one inescapable fate we all face, death.[/blockquote]

The entire situation at hand was completely odd. Three Hollows, sitting and chatting, talking about fate and coincidence . . . not feasting and eating souls like the mindless beasts most of them were. Jiro pushed the thought of just how odd the situation was from his mind, as he found that it was intriguing and almost a relief from constantly fighting and killing, or starving for souls. Almost. there was still something that called out to him; the soul of a Shinigami. A powerful soul. A bountiful soul.
But Jiro found the other's answers to be rather interesting. Jiro's own differed from theirs a bit, in that the situation was nothing more than a random happening. Chance. No higher powers decided their meeting, nothing was planned, nor meant to be. Nothing was set in stone, and Jiro could make his own path. The only certainty is death, but when and where are variables.
Something about the situation was unsettling to Jiro. As if they shouldn't be talking in such a manner. As if it was wrong.
"I can't imagine that a gathering of three of us in one location wouldn't provoke the intrusion of the Shinigami, at least." Jiro stated as his eyes began again to drift about. His cravings were prominent still, though there were no signs of any souls to feast upon nearby.

It seemed odd that such manner of beastly creatures could be capable of sitting down and having a conversation with one another. In reality a battle should have engaged the moment the three creatures laid eyes on each other, however it didn’t. Was it out of fear? Were they fearful of each other, or rather the prospect that a confrontation now would likely end in a death? Perhaps, however it seemed unlikely that such a cannibalistic breed of demons would be so weary of each other, after all fighting was in their blood.
It’s only natural that hollows; monstrosities born out of pain and sorrow would not fear death but more likely embrace it. Despite this however there are so many who cling onto the threads of life, slaughtering and feeding upon the innocent and their own kind as they try to evolve far beyond the clutches of their eventual deaths. To Ezequiel his life so far had been nothing more than acting out of instinct, however now he only sought to molt from his meaningless existence to that of an immortal; a god.
Having felt that his mind had drifted off topic, a swift shrug soon brought the Gillian back to reality. It was a strange sensation knowing just how different hollows were from each other, I mean it was obvious just how much their personalities differed, however it never ceases to amaze me just how varying the answer to a single question can be from one hollow to another. Equally amused by this, Ezequiel pondered over one of his own questions to ask to the group, though before he had the chance to Jiro’s comment once again brought out his animalistic nature.
“Shinigami? In the end their arrival would only hasten their deaths. I welcome any one willing to stand against me to an untimely and painful end.” His comment was followed by echoing laughter, as if trying to reach out to anyone who may be observing the hollows in the shadows.

There mere mentioning of Shinigami brought a discomfort to me — rather, it was the thought of battle that sent unknown emotions wild within my psyche. Ever since my transformation into this Gillian form, there had been many unknown emotions and thoughts swelling up inside me, attempting to consume me whole. Even now as I stood here conversing with these two Hollow, a strange desire moved about within its psychological cage wishing to be let loose. As of late, I neither craved nor avoided battle; it was just something that I knew I could not escape no matter how much I may try.
Hearing the little comments from both Hollow, I could not shake this feeling that a battle would soon ensue — would it be Hollow vs Shinigami or Hollow vs Hollow? I did not know but the manner in which these two reacted to the mentioning of Shinigami and battle did not help to calm the beast within. It only served to stir the beast ever more, wafting the scent of death and battle before its cage was not a good idea. I did not know if I could control this beast if I let it loose, leading to the reason I have yet to allow it control; I fear it. How odd it was for a Hollow to fear something especially when it is themselves they fear.
"I would rather not have to participate within a battle. Leaves a bitter taste afterward." My little comment would likely be a shock to either of the Hollow; the contents of the comment were greatly unusual. Never before had there been a Hollow who disliked battle, rather, a Hollow who avoided battle when the prize for victory was the soul of a Shinigami. Truth be told, I have never feasted upon the soul of a Shinigami and I do not seem to possess a desire to do so. This hunger within me kept in check by something unknown; a mysterious code of Honor I had to obligation to obey yet I could not ignore it. I did not know if this Code of Honor was something from my past life but all I knew is it was strong, so much stronger than the beast within me. Eyes darting back and forth while I scanned the area for any unknown reiatsu, I wished to avoid a battle if at all possible. The boisterous laughter emitted by the Gillian would surely draw unneeded attention to the little group of Hollow. Though I did have to think to myself, were there any Shinigami brave enough to battle three Hollow at once? Especially with the amount of power we possessed, either one needed to be extremely powerful of extremely foolish. Either way, I wished to avoid any kind of confrontation with Shinigami and the like.[/blockquote]

There was a spike in spiritual energy as my non-dimensional dimensions expanded. I held nothing back. There was nothing to veil, nothing to hide, nothing to store away in wait. These hollows too did not hide their prescience, blatantly talking and having rational conversation like if they were human. They weren't and mere act had struck my core, the thought rattling my brain - they shouldn't be allowed to act so.
I had already realized they had killed so many people, so many lives taken by their simple emergences into the world. I couldn't help feeling manic and frenzied, the only thing stopping me from attacking being the distance between myself and the hollow-forms. The building I took refuge upon stood a great five-feet off the ground, and thirty meters away from them, one of the few which hadn't been ripped from it's foundations from their arrivals.
As I struggled to hold rational, I yelled - it more like a frantic scream, "All those humans. All those souls. You don't deserve to exist."
My hand, now radiating light extended forth as I summoned forth my first reibuki, a handgun.
Reiiro (Soul Forge) Level: Moderate Description: The most basic of all Quincey Abilities, it is still one that takes some getting used to. Available to all Quincey, this technique actually does three specific things. The first is a type of attunement towards a specific type of weapon. These can range from swords, whips, bows, axes, picks; basically, take your pick of one weapon. The second ability is the ability to absorb Reiryoku, or Spirit Power, from the atmosphere. This capability is greatly enhanced in places of highly condensed Reiryoku, such as Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. Finally, Reiiro grants the user the capability of rapidly condensing the Reiryoku into Reiatsu, which is then used as fuel to perform Reibuki, Neo Quincey Powers, or Gintō spells. Restrictions: Must be a Neo Quincey.
Reibuki (Spirit Weapon) Level: Moderate Description: The penultimate technique of the Neo Quincey. Gone are the days when Quincey needed a weapon base and then simply manipulating their Reiatsu into those weapons. In these days, the art of the Quincey has progressed to a heightened stage, so that they can formulate a weapon based entirely out of their Reiatsu. When the ability is first obtained, they may formulate a singular weapon. As the user obtains more Reibuki Manipulations, the user is capable of creating differing forms of the weapon, although it must stick within the theme of the Reiiro (So, for example, if the user was using swords, the first manipulation could be a broad sword and the second one would be a two-handed sword, etc.) Restrictions: Must be a Neo Quincey.

There was some truth in the larger Gillian's words. With three Hollows together at once, it would be difficult for any one person to take all of them on at once. A group effort would likely be required, unless there was a single person of rather impressive prowess. Something unexpected was voiced from the smaller Gillian, however. Jiro couldn't comprehend the existence of a Hollow who would prefer to avoid a battle.
"A bitter taste? I find the taste to be satisfying . . ." Jiro stated bluntly, more out of reaction than anything. Afterward, he felt that it might not have been the best to say--it was a bit animalistic. Still, he couldn't hold back his surprise that the Gillian disliked battle. How could he resist this hunger? This desire?
Then another unexpected event occurred. A voice--not one which belonged to any of the three Hollows--echoed out from somewhere nearby. A Human voice. The message was clearly directed at the three Hollows, and Jiro struggled to hold his excitement. His eyes darted around frantically, this way and that, until he finally calmed enough to home in on where the sound had come from.
"What's this?" Jiro asked, as he turned his body to face the voice in the distance, "As if on cue . . ."
The Hollow fell to all fours, rearing back a bit and ready to burst forward in attack.

“A bitter taste?” Ezequiel thought to himself. Centuries of war and hatred flew through both hollows and Shinigami, finding someone from either faction who despised fighting was thought to be an impossible feat. If one lacks the courage and resolve to kill an opponent without hesitation and certainly without mercy, then regardless of you being of Shinigami or hollow blood, undoubtedly you will live a very short life in this world.
“Well then I suggest you get used to the taste. From the very first moment it stained you it left its mark, a mark that will follow you to your grave.”
There was truth in the hollows words, most of which spoken from past experiences. The moment a hollow is born is the same moment it is branded as a killer, regardless of its initial intentions. The masks they wear simply make them targets for Shinigami who slaughter us like cattle. It does not matter whether we want to or not, killing is simply a way as for we hollows to survive or rather an instinct to aid us in growing stronger.
“What am I doing…” The Gillian thought to himself as he squinted his eyes for a mere moment. Despite having still retained his previous consciousness something was clearly wrong. All these thoughts, they weren’t something he would be pondering over back in his hollow stage of life, could they even be his thoughts to begin with? “What is happening to me…”
His mind was clouding in self doubt; all these thoughts and emotions violently sparked unprecedented feelings. Though his transformation had long since been completed it still felt like he was changing. Fear of losing his sanity opened a rift in his mind; the Gillian needed something, anything to take his mind off the throbbing pain. His eyes would dart vigorously from corner to corner as they scanned the surrounding area, attempting to lock onto a suitable target for his new found rage.

Listening to the responses of both Hollow to my little comment, I could not help but pity them — but why did I pity them? There should have been no reason for me to look down on them, to feel sorry for their souls yet this emotion beat heavily upon my soul unlike anything I felt before. Through instinct alone I named this emotion pity but I did not know if that is truly what it is. This emotion felt familiar to me, as if I had felt this emotion intently within the past but I had no recollection of such events. I cannot even trust that these emotions are real, for all I knew they could be a manifestation of my rage but my vision is just too clouded to see it. Perhaps these emotions are the real thing, akin to human emotions — no, perhaps it is a human emotion. Whatever it is, thoughts of it soon faded when I caught scent of the new reiatsu signature present in the area.
Almost immediately, I could tell who this reiatsu signature belonged to for we had met before. Not just twice or thrice but this would be the fourth time we have met; the annoying human who always refused to answer any of my inquiries. Turning to face the direction of the Unknown Human — is what I called him — I took no battle stance like Jiro would. I maintained my neutral stance, hands at my side hidden behind the black cloak that covered my body; I did nothing but stare at the human male. A torrent of light manifesting from his direction, I immediately knew what he had just done; calling upon his weapon, a gun. For a second I felt it best if I warned the others about the abilities of this human, yet I refrained myself from speaking. Even though the human is stronger than either of the two Hollow, I found no reason to warn them about the impending danger coming their way.
I did nothing but stand there, staring and thinking over this situation. I did not enjoy the thought of battle, hence my hesitation at even partaking in this little quarrel. Knowing of the humans abilities, I wondered how he combat both Hollow as I had no intention of charging in blindly or charging in at all for that matter. He had dealt with my skills in the past but I wondered how he would fare against this Gillian who stood, I guess at an even height to a skyscraper. His size is massive but his speed slow, could this human really kill something such as that? Even I had to admit dealing with something so large would be a pain but that did not mean it is impossible. Taking a few steps back, I leapt unto a nearby structure 40 meters from the male, no taller than four stories high, possibly the tallest thing in this town. This is where I would watch the ensuing battle, no intentions of helping either side. I had plans for these two Hollow but should they die on this day, then they wouldn't have been as useful as I thought.

I did not hesitate to show the one thing that made me human - emotion. A roar bellowed from the depths of my being as I began firing off shots (10) randomly in the direction of the hollows. To someone of my rank, say perhaps the Gillian, which I had already identified from his unique reiatsu signature, they would feel like mere punches. However, to someone not of my level they would be something akin to a boxer's haymaker - a stronger punch. Each bullet traveled at the speed of that of a paintball with no fail. I did not move myself in any one direction, but hid my true face in this initial attack. Would these Hollow take the bait and attack? Surely the main Gillian would not tell them of the danger of fighting me so boldly - all of this was a fallacy. I lied in wait.
