Alright . . . Ah! Here we are. Blueberries. Lilith thought as her golden eyes finally fell to rest upon the blue orbs before her. She rushed over greedily, finding great delight in fresh blueberries. Grabbing a bag, she began to scoop the fruit into it and finally tied the bag at the end and moved on with her shopping after setting a few dollars and coins down on the counter as she moved past it. Retrieving a long paper from her pocket, she unrolled it to reveal a list, most of which was crossed out. Only a few things remained.
"Ugh . . ." The girl groaned as her gaze lazily drifted up to the sky. The clouds were thin and wispy, leaving the light blue of the sky to beautifully shine down on the open air market of Karakura Town. The pale yellow light emitted by the sun cast dancing shadows across the streets as the people moved busily about--it all amazed Lilith, really. The natural world and all of its creations.
Her view of the sky cut off by a sudden brown tarp, Lilith brought her gaze down suddenly and stopped in her tracks. She had nearly ran into a pole which held up the tent-like covering over the shop she had accidentally strode into. Guess I dozed . . . Lilith thought as she turned and left with an apologetic glance at the shopkeeper. She sighed as she basked herself fully in the light of day once more. Just a few more things to get . . .

There wasn't much to do today, the white-haired shinigami walked down the open market. A shinigami of 8th division didn't really go to Earth that much as they are used to deal with internal affair. However, a shinigami should at least have some basic insight on Earth as well and that's exactly why Kokaku was here at this moment. The portion of the town was peaceful today, no hollow since he was here for like...6 hours.
Now, he was just taking a break from his duty. He was amazed by the variety of things that the market contained. He was like a child inserted to a new world, so much excitement beneath himself. No one could see him, at least ordinary human couldn't and so he has no need to avoid people coming toward him.
Until...he bumped into somebody. "Sorry." His instinct made him apologized before he realized the fact that he shouldn't be in contact with anybody here. In front of him, a girl with pale-blue hair. From the outlook of the girl, she was just an ordinary human but Kokaku knew she must be different from the others which just keep walking through his body even at this moment. Was she another shinigami? Hollow? Some weird human that can see spirits? He didn't ask who was the girl, he waited for her reply. If the girl did see a shinigami before, she would know by the appearance of Kokaku, who was in the shinigami uniform at this moment.

[Enter.]
!!
Frozen still the daylight sky, clouds shifting hastily through the air though this phenomenon should not be capable of occurring. Miles high into the air, a gaping mouth filled with wild dancing shadows; the Garganta, an inter-dimensional portal used by the Hollow to travel between realms. The sky began to shift in color, a hue of red and black, something viewable only by those gifted with spiritual abilities. Not before long, a black figure would emerge from the Garganta, dropping to the earth at frightening speeds; its Reiatsu hidden though only momentarily. As the dark black figure drew closer to contact with the ground, its Reiatsu would be allowed to flourish, blanketing the area in a thick fog of its presence.
With a massive crashing of the ground the creature landed, its true form now visible to those who could see him. A 20 foot tall creature, body cloaked in a black robe; its face a milky white mask reminiscent of an Oni mask. With a sudden bellow, the creature let forth the cry of a Hollow, that same eerie call that would frighten anyone who heard.
The humans within the vicinity unable to sense his visage, fleeing in whatever direction they could as fear controlled their movements. The pitiful humans who could not even sense his presence -- perhaps it was a gift they could not see that death was here for them. Animus stood waiting, eyes scanning over all the delicious little morsels he could feast upon -- that is until he noticed the Shinigami standing within the distance and an extremely potent Reiatsu from the woman standing beside him. The Gillian found its mark but what would it do?

Shit, shit! Lilith thought as he body collided with something in font of her. It was always embarrassing to bump into someone because you weren't paying attention. Immediately the girl began to let a flurry of apologies fall from her tongue.
"Oh, I'm so sor--" She was cut of as her golden eyes finally set upon the figure before her. The black robes marked him clearly as a Shinigami--the first Shinigami Lilith had even run into alone. It was an interesting situation for her--she felt butterflies in her stomach, and she wasn't sure why. It wasn't as if Shinigami were frightening people, but a new experience still created a sense of nervousness.
But a new wave of nervousness fell over her as a massive wave of reiatsu plummeted to the earth nearby, accompanied by a massive crash. The people nearby fled and Lilith immediately turned with wide eyes in the direction of the crash. Even from her distance it was obvious that the creature was some sort of Hollow--though Lilith had never seen one of such a large size.
"Shit! We have to do something." Lilith immediately turned to the Shinigami for help in the situation as she brought her right hand up, curling it into a fist. A sudden blue light enveloped it, leaving behind the pale glow of her reibuki--a brass knuckle.

Holy Hell
Just as he felt that he was having a nice, relaxing day, his "business" found him alive. Hollow-killing business. Despite that he couldn't do anything of sensing reiatsu and such, the hollow was in range, and was big enough for Kokaku to see it even if he was few kilometers away from the black-and-white monster. Even if Kokaku was blind, the roar made the hollow easily recognized by any shinigami.
The market, helpless, human being rushed through his body again and again, even the girl standing in front of him got pushed once or twice by the escaping crowd.
"Shit! We have to do something." The golden eyes gazed upon him. Kokaku knew this girl could see him clearly and she was special, judging by the blue glow on right hand and her braveness to face a hollow. Impressive.
"Let's go then, I cannot let this hollow slip anyway and I don't mind assistance from anybody." Kokaku replied as he rushed past the girl by her side, he then leaped up into mid-air and stayed there as mid-air allowed him to have more spaces to move around in a battle, which would probably happen soon according to his estimation.
Kokaku stayed not too far, yet not too near to the black figure, staring at its cold-chilling eyes.

A grandiose smile appearing upon the creatures face as he watched both opponents prepare for battle, something Animus had no need to do. He had already prepared for battle the instant he took his first steps into this realm, the human world. Positioned 100 meters from both entities, Animus began a steady pace towards both -- no, not a steady run, more a gaining walk forward. His mind reviewing various plans of action dependent on the actions of either Shinigami or human being. His previously nonexistent hands protruding forth from behind the black cloak concealing the greater portion of his body. Yellow oculi watching for any sudden movements from either opponents as his ever so quickening pace continued.
His previous gaining pace now forming into a full run forward towards both enemies, his speed ever so great one would likely not believe their eyes. Despite the creatures massive size, its speed could easily be a few times faster than either of the enemies; closing the distance between them by 30 meters leaving 70 meters. Though Animus could have resorted to the use of Sonido to instantly close the distance, he wished to study his opponents before fighting at full strength. He needed to judge what their strengths and weaknesses were; whether they chose to show their skills or not were up to them. His plans set in motion.

Damnit. Lilith thought as she followed in the trail of the Shinigami--but only momentarily, as he leaped to the sky and remained there. The girl set her eyes on a building before her as she slipped through the cracks in the fleeing crowd. A few people bumped into her, but she simply trudged forward, hoping that she wouldn't knock anyone over, and blocked out the constant sound of fear.
Having made it to her destination rather quickly, she dodged inside the shop--no one was inside. It was a small building, but it served its purpose; it was, by Lilith's judgments, likely about 18 feet tall. Moving up the stairs, she arrived in another dimly lit room. Quickly her legs pumped her up another flight of stairs and she arrived on the roof of the building as the Hollow began to close in at surprising speeds.
Lilith realized that her main disadvantage was probably the large size of the Hollow, and her own small size--and the small size of her reibuki, as well. She couldn't stand on the air as her ally did. Therefore, the buildings were her only options for gaining a considerable amount of height--enough to strike what Lilith understood as the most important area of the Hollow: its mask.
Luckily, in the market, many small specialty stores were lined up close together. Lilith began a dash toward the Hollow, leaping over the small cracks that separated the buildings.

[Sorry for the short post but there's problem on my PC so I am rushing this in my friend's PC] Kokaku was planning as the hollow was getting closer and closer to him. He didn't know what was the ability of his opponent. To make things worst, he didn't know much about his partner at this moment, which made him having a hard time planning an attack right now. However, a fight has to start anyway. And Kokaku decided to be the starter. He extended his right hand up to his front, his index finger pointing at the mask of the hollow, which was parallel to his height. "White chariot! Blue soldiers, rustled leaves, thirteen black clouds, unleash the sky! Hado no Yon: Byakurai!" A white light beam released from his finger toward the hollow, the fight officially started now. Hadō No. 4: Byakurai (Way of Destruction No. 4: White Lightning) Type: Destruction Art. Description: The user gathers a tiny amount of reiatsu to the fingertip of their dominant index finger, extending it outward along with the middle finger. The other fingers are folded into the palm. The user then lays the palm of their off hand face-down on the wrist of the dominant hand. The fingertip will swell with blue-white energy before exploding forward in a narrow, piercing beam of white lightning-like reiatsu, capable of punching holes through opponents. Incantation: White chariot! Blue soldiers, rustled leaves, thirteen black clouds, unleash the sky! Hado no Yon: Byakurai! Restrictions: --

Lilith didn't know all that much about Shinigami. Hell, she didn't know much about Hollows or even Quincy--all of this spiritual stuff was new to her. There were still things she knew, though--and the existence and use of kido was one of them. Lilith had almost expected her partner to do what he had done, and hoped to use it to her advantage.
Still, she was hesitant in nearly everything she did. She had never fought alongside a Shinigami before--neither had she fought a Hollow without her master, or even encountered one of this size. But as she dashed forward, leaping over the small gap between the building that brought her within reach of the Hollow's arms, she composed her resolution and tightened her fist around her reibuki.
As the white lightning streaked across the open air, Lilith leaped without hesitation from the building and towards the Hollow. The spiritual attack was aimed for the Hollow's mask--its weakest point, likely. Lilith decided to aim an attack in a separate area, either as a distraction or as an attack--whichever the Hollow made it.
At least, she hoped it would be one of those two. The pale-blue haired girl soared through the sky with her right arm reared back, and at nearly the same moment that the white lightning would connect--if it would connect--she came within range for an attack to midsection of the Hollow. Thrusting her right arm forward, she shot a strong punch directly at the Hollow's torso, with her own power and the power of her reibuki backing the attack.

My intent on closing the distance between both opponents would cease when I discovered one of the opponents had done so for me. As my charge continued and I watched the girl leap across buildings in order to reach me. As it would take some time for our positions to cross, my attention laid upon the Shinigami who stood within the air; his fingers extending outwards as his mouth moved. Kido, something I had seen one too many times in my life especially this one, as countless Shinigami attempted to use it upon me. Just as the light of energy began to gather, I waited for the moment the Kido fired before ceasing my charge and performing a half-step. Legs sustaining their ground, my upper body is leaned to the right allowing the beam to harmlessly pass by. This dodge utilized very minimal movement allowing for easy dodging without the need for large movements.
Attention averting back to the female who previously leaped from building to building, I noticed her form not atop a building but in mid-air. She had launched herself off a building to strike at me, something I was completely shocked about. Did this girl not understand what she had just done by jumping from a building? Normal humans did not even think of leaping from atop a structure unless they wished to kill themselves yet this girl did it to attack me. Though surprised, it did not falter my counter as my left hand moved to swat her body into the nearby building; dodging an impossibility as she could not maneuver within mid-air.
Positioned 40 meters from the Shinigami, my frame suddenly vanished before their eyes as I emerged once again to the right side of the Shinigami. A single bladed finger brought down upon his figure and should he fail to dodge, he shall be cleaved in half; ending his life.

As the white beam of illumination pierced through the air along the way, the hollow easily dodged it with a flawless half-step, dodging it with the least movement it body moved. His partner, at this time, leaped from the building and got into short contact with the opponent. Now, Kokaku at least knew that his partner was more of a melee fighter, at least according to his understanding at this moment. As soon as the Hollow was done with reacting toward the girl's attack, it disappeared...to...Kokaku wasn't supposed to know it but this hollow was too big. Big and f***ing fast. He saw the lower body of the hollow as his eyes were scanning around the area. Crap! The direct reaction was a quick escape, which was easily done with the flash step of shinigami. In the blink of eyes, Kokaku was 50 meters away from his opponent. From the hand position of his opponent, he probably dodged a slice of death there. This hollow is fast... He wouldn't try to get into short range with his opponent here. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado no Sanjuuichi: Shakkahō!" He prayed that his partner was still fine and she could help him with the distraction. Long range attack was too easy to dodge, especially for a such agile hollow. A red ball of red light released from the extended palm of Kokaku, flying toward the hollow at mid-section height of the hollow(aiming at 10 feet of the hollow's height). 1/4 Shunpo
Hadō No. 31: Shakkahō (Way of Destruction No. 31: Shot of Red Fire) Type: Destruction Art. Description: The user gathers reiatsu into the palm of their dominant hand, extending their palm forward. The user then places their off hand on their wrist, wrapping their fingers around it. They then gather the reiatsu into a ball of energy floating in front of the palm. The user then releases the ball of red energy forward like a cannon-ball. It will explode on contact with anything, much like a grenade or rocket. Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado no Sanjuuichi: Shakkahō! [OOC: Kokaku, I am sure you are unable to Shunpo 50 meters away when I, a speed master of rank 3 am only able to go 60-70 meters tops. So for RP purposes, I am going to place you at a reasonable distance, 30 meters.]
As a cold bladed finger began its descent upon this frail Shinigami, the target escaped death's clutches with a technique Animus encountered many times in his life. Being a master of techniques similar to his own Sonido, yellow oculi easily able to discern which direction his prey moved. Seeing as how his prey seemed to distance himself, there could only come the hypothesis his enemy would utilize Kido yet again. Thus his actions warranted waiting; waiting until the male Shinigami began his incantation to call forth such power energies.
Upon eyes witnessing the verses of the Shinigami, a movement akin to his opponent instantly closed the distance between both entities. Instead of a bladed finger, the backside of a fist would strike his target who would be in the middle of reciting an incantation. Dodging would be unlikely and near impossible yet the Shinigami would not die. Had this creature taken mercy upon him?

Lilith's hopes had not been met.
But her expectations had. Her golden orbs watched as the hand made it's way towards her in an attempt to swat her out of the air and into the building to her left. An attack like this was what Lilith had predicted, even if she had preferred a clean hit. She timed her movements perfectly, waiting for the hand to make contact . . .
Just as it was about to smash directly into her comparatively small frame, Lilith moved her hands swiftly, setting them on the Hollow's hand and propelling herself over it in an attempt to land on its wrist.
But the Hollow disappeared suddenly, moving swiftly forward, and Lilith found herself free falling to the ground below. Shit . . . She thought as she fell helplessly, plummeting straight downward. She watched as the Shinigami used a similar, fast-moving technique to avoid the Hollow, and, after a moment of waiting, the Hollow once again moved forward using the same technique.
The Quincy hit the ground hard. Landing on her feet, she bent her knees and set a hand to the ground as a natural instinct to disperse the force throughout her body. It didn't take the pain away, though, and she grimaced as it shot through her body.
But there was really no time for that--she immediately set her eyes on the Hollow and the Shinigami many feet ahead and made a headlong dash for the action.

[Thanks for telling me about the distance]
His opponent was so cool, there must be something wrong. Kokaku continued with his incantation, but with red alert inside his mind. In the middle of incantation, the hollow disappear. The hollow's version of flash step again.
The hollow showed up again around him, a big black backhand strike was comign toward Kokaku. He directly paused his incantation and his arms went crossing in the middle of his chest, his head lowered down to be in cover, left leg risen up. Defensive position. BAM! Big contact toward his arms and leg even before he could complete his defensive position. Pain was flowing and spreading around his body.
He was knocked away and down by the blast. Luckily enough, he stopped the force just 10 feet away from the ground. Now he was few meters away from the hollow. Gasping for air, he was injured. His opponent was out of his standard and he needed his partner real bad. He jumped up into the air so he could find his partner and when he saw her, he disappeared before the hollow in mid-air and stopped just in front of his partner. They both were probably at most 20 meters away from the hollow since the girl was closing the distance when Kokaku approached her.

Animus watched as his strike barreled into the small Shinigami, his strike having the the effect he wished for it to have. There was no need to kill these two immediately -- no, he would toy with them until their bodies lay barren upon the ground. Now standing but 20 meters from both adversaries, movement would not be necessary for his mind would do all the action. Savage thoughts roamed his mind as he mentally prepared himself to take these opponents limb from limb, especially the human female. Her powers interested him but more so than that, he simply loved the cries of a human female in agony. There was just some delight in hearing that high pitch voice screaming in agony as her body is torn to shreds ever so slowly.
Hands hidden behind a veil of black clothing, fingers poised and ready to strike should the situation call for such a thing. Stationary and unmoving, Animus watched both Shinigami and human intently with bright yellow eyes. Wondering what these two would choose to throw at him next and whether he could avoid such attacks with ease or if it would require more work than he wished to exert. The random thought of kidnapping this human female bounced around in his mind; contemplating on whether he wished to use her as on offering of if he should enjoy himself once in a while. Oh, how his mind danced with sadistic thoughts; almost enough to make him drool. Though another random thought flourished; just what was this human woman?

Lilith continued her headlong dash. The Shinigami suddenly appeared a bit before her--she had seen him take a heavy blow from the massive Hollow and feared he was injured. Perhaps he would need time to recover--or to escape. Either way, Lilith would need to provide some sort of distraction.
She hollered as she dashed towards him, "I'll distract him for now--recover or escape or . . . whatever!" She didn't figure the Hollow could hear her at all from this distance. She also didn't figure it would matter if he had.
Setting her head down, she increased her running speed and barreled past the Shinigami and directly for the Hollow. Her fists tightened as she approached him--he was easily over triple her height, but she felt no fear. She herself wasn't even sure why--she even felt that her alliance with the Shinigami would fail, and they would end up the losers in this struggle.
Perhaps her inability to sense their difference in reiatsu added to her fearless attitude--but their difference in power was evident without such a sense. Of course, Lilith decided that it wasn't the time to think of such things, and continued to dash towards the stationary Hollow until she came within range of the Hollow's deadly arms.
There she stopped and simply stared at the massive being. The streets were cleared of people--the ground was broken and cracked where she landed multiple feet behind her. A silent zephyr blew past, flipping her pale blue hair all to the left as she rose her right hand--and her reibuki with it, gazing at its soft glow.
Even if she couldn't defeat this Hollow, she could at least protect someone--the Shinigami. The humans had already fled, they weren't in danger anymore. This was all she could do.

[OOC: Skipping Kokaku as he has missed the IIC.]
Waiting . . . watching . . . There would be no movement from Animus as he maintained his position 20 meters from both assailants; waiting for them to take the initiative. Bright yellow iris's watching as one of his prey slowly began to close the distance between the two; the other failing to take action. Death would have been imminent if Animus wished to do so, yet he would not take such actions. Not because there was some unknown force preventing him from doing so -- no, he simply chose to spare their lives for his own personal amusement.
Looking down upon this human woman, Animus realized he never did discover just what kind of person this female was. A while back, he met someone with reiatsu of a similar nature though much stronger than what this one possessed. Though he attempted to question the unknown male, he had not received an answer, just an attempt at a kill. Curiosity getting the best of him, he could not resist attempting to yet again figure out what kind of human this female is.
"Girl, what type of human are you? Tell the truth and you just may live through this ordeal." [/i] Learning from his past mistake of asking only "What are you?", Animus desired for this human to answer truthfully. A failed answer would likely send his rage over the limit; preventing any rational actions in the near future.[/blockquote][/font]

The next moments hung with a tense air about Lilith. The Hollow before her looked down upon her--Lilith was unsure of what was happening. For some reason, this Hollow wasn't attacking, wasn't dying to feed its insatiable hunger. The girl wasn't sure what this meant. Lilith was prepared to act on a moment's notice.
Then it spoke. An unexpected question emanated from the massive, black-cloaked being which towered over her. The voice bellowed down into Lilith's ears and for a moment she wasn't sure how to answer.
"I'm just a Human, that's all." Lilith answered, unsure of what to expect next. Why would she reveal information to something trying to kill her? There was some truth to the answer, though. But it wasn't as if that was the answer the creature was seeking--Lilith knew that.
Still, the thing was far stronger than she was--she knew that, too. With a nervous glance back at the Shinigami, she tightened her grip on her reibuki.
