[OOC - Just poking my Admin head in here. About the Avaricia, I'd like to comment that it doesn't nearly have the strength to absorb all the spiritual energy from a Shinigami in three rounds. Quite frankly, I'm against Avaricia being able to kill anyone, at all, through pure spiritual drain. You underestimate the amount of spiritual energy inherent in an empowered soul like a Hollow or a Shinigami. His soul contains so much spiritual energy that it not only holds itself together and creates life and intelligence, but it even is capable of generating forces like Kido, or more frighteningly, developing an entirely separate spirit within the Zanpaktou. Even if you could empty her of energy, it would take so much more power to disassemble her spirit and absorb it's vital energies. A Rank 0 Hollow can't do it. I don't even think a Rank 10 Hollow could do it, or if it's do-able at all with Avaricia. Most important is to always remember your own rank and those of those around you.
In conclusion - lower ranked spirit, definitely not killing and absorbing a higher rank spirit in eighteen seconds.
^_^ Feel free to PM me opinions or counter-arguments. Carry on as though Avaricia is draining reiatsu, but nowhere near to be a potentially fatal rate. You've still got enough to fight with.]
[Edit: Did some thinking as well as talking with involved parties. Assume roughly five percent drain of your available reiatsu, as in, the free usuable reiatsu not committed to keeping you alive, each round, adding up to around 15% thus far.]

She glanced over her shoulder to see the waves of further attacks. She scowled, leaping in zig-zags to avoid the attacks. Fortunately she was faster than her pursuer, and her attacks where not so fast either. Which was lucky, because she wasn’t too quick herself, speed always had been an area she needed to work on. Still she was fast in other areas. She by now was panting that drain was something fierce. She would be nothing short of irresponsible to let the creature leave alive knowing what it could do. It was at that movement she felt the drain cease. She turned her head to check what was going on. Another wave of attacks. But instead of dodging these she decided to take this chance to switch to offensive. In a blur of speed, she vanished. Re-appearing behind her enemy, with her sword held up high and pointing towards the sky. “My turn to attack” she hissed. Before waiting another single moment she leapt towards the hollow in a furious spinning aerial assault, her blade reflecting the light as it whirled around her. 1 Shunpo used 4 Shunpo Remaining

“Is that the best you can do?” Now the hollow was asking Kokaku back and ignored Kokaku's question at the same time, a grin appeared on Kokaku's face, he knew this was not the best he could do.
As soon as he saw a flurry of insects were coming out of nowhere from the depth of Gaia, he knew there's trap along the ground. His grin disappeared for two reasons. First, his white lightning just turned into insect repellents, not what he wanted it to do. Second, he saw bugs showing up around his feet as he glanced lower.
Crap! So that was the hollow's ability, Kokaku quickly went into flash speed mode and a few almost-instant steps toward the right and forward(between 1 and 2 o'clock direction), now he was 12 meters away from the hollow as he heard sounds of explosion coming from behind. What a close call. He didn't look backward though, so he didn't know about the size of the explosion and the power of the bugs as of now. What a clueless shinigami...
Oh wait...where's the human? The shinigami quickly turned his head over his back but found nothing behind except area covered by smokes. His head turned forward again, now he spotted the human. What a tough guy, facing the hollow in close range without fear. Kokaku decided that he could do well as a supporter for now.
The ground was a fighting pit for the hollow, his playground of insect bombs at this moment and Kokaku would gladly avoid the lion's den at this moment. He leaped two meters upward and stood hanging in mid-air. Glad that spirit could fly. His left hand again, risen by him to the middle of his face, index and middle finger straighten and pointing toward the sky at this moment. My will to succeed be the rope that sustains you; let my breath of light be the light to guide you," Kokaku then pointed his fingers wherever the hollow should be at this moment, he has a clear view of the battlefield with his height advantage, "Bakudo no Yon: Hainawa."
A yellow-colored reiatsu rope showed up just an inch ahead of Kokaku's fingers, now raging through the air and toward the hollow. In a successful hit, the chain would wrap around his opponent, limiting his opponent's ability to move. He certainly hoped that the hollow was busy with the human and would not spot the chain too early.

“Looks like they figured it out.” The hollow thought to himself. Though it was clear the two men didn’t know the exact limitations of his powers, they did at least know what he could do now to a certain degree. However at the same time the hollow had also gained some knowledge of his enemies, leveling the playing field. The human was a close range brawler, a fact which was made obvious by his attempt to charge forward in order to strike in close combat. The Shinigami however seemed to be a long range fighter who favours kido over his hand to hand or sword skills, making him an ideal target for Ezequiel. With his eyes locked onto the human, he observed each one of his actions in great detail. Despite being a close range fighter, he seemed to be very slow or at least much slower when compared to the hollow. Waiting for the instance his body would flicker out of sight, the hollow would use his own high speed technique to dart away from the human, appearing behind the Shinigami with extreme speed. Almost simultaneous to appearing, the hollow would jab the Shinigami’s left rib with his right fist. Being behind the Shinigami would make it that much harder for the man to dodge or launch a counter attack and if the hollows bet was correct and the man was right handed, then staving off an attack from the left side of his body would only be that much more difficult. As his fist drew closer to making contact, the Shinigami had finished his chanting which the hollow had just noticed now. The yellow beam of energy was sent flying at nothing more than the hollows previous location, though if luck was on his side, the kido rope would hit the human who would likely be wandering where his target had disappeared off to. 1/8 Sonido

OOC – Just noting, we’re the same speed specialists with only two ranks of difference, and I’m an Animo Master wielding an Animo-based weapon.
Since I stated I was more than ten meters away from you and you continued to run away in both posts, you’d be at least fifteen to twenty meters away, meaning you’d have to use two shunpo charges unless you place a greater amount of reiatsu to move those extra five meters. I’ll go with the later.
Rosa’s extended hand would exist open-palmed and energized for only a moment in time before the sudden disappearance of her target forced an all too peculiar pause to occur within her battle-plans. Disappeared…? Her unconscious fury would begin to tap into the stolen energies in order to charge them for something far greater, but just as the expelling prepared itself to occur, the recipient of such violence appeared no more. But where!? Still inexperience in the tendencies of opponents when in the heat of battle, the idea of a back-attack did not occur to her right away. However, all that built up surprise was for naught, as several of the female’s chosen actions would give Rosa one good chance at avoiding severe peril. Behind!? It was clear to Rosa now – if she didn’t learn to fight for herself, this horrible world would swallow her hole and spit her out into a wad of nothingness. That dirty whore!!! She was no longer feeling scared and confused. Instinct kicked in – and with it, fury, anger, and greed. Avarice would spill forth from her actions, and as she ripped flesh, she’d do so with a smile. A portion of the energies within her now transferred to her claws, already razor-sharp and soon to become even deadlier under the influence of her leeched spiritual energy. I’m gonna make you bleed! It was a combination of things – the verbal hiss before the attack, the ruffling of her shinigami outfit as she twirled in the air, the cry of her metal as it whistled in her ear, and even the sound her feet made as she leaped to make her strike. All basic elements of observation and deductive reasoning her past depressive state would have her miss, though now awoken through rage, were easily detected. Fine, have your blood....Though only a Sonido could save her from full damage, the deranged mentality of a Hollow would procure a far more sinister plan. Expectant of the strike, she would merely slide to her own left, shimmying just enough so that the sword strike grazed part of her shoulder, slicing it but not cutting anything serious. …I’ll just have mine as well!!!! A minuscule stream of what she believed to be blood shot forth before prematurely ending, the un-severe wound confirmed as ignorable. But it mattered not, for Rosa’s rage would not let stand for this any longer. With her incoming slash, the Shinigami would certainly have to deal with the momentum behind her strike. Now, as the blade passed barely through the flesh of her right shoulder, the Hollow would use one clawed hand to push the blade – and with it, her grip – further away, while simultaneously letting the other rip through its vengeance. She was half turned now, and with a formidable amount of reiatsu concentrated at her claws, Rosa unleashed the strike across the Shinigami’s throat, only inches away. She sought to rip flesh, arteries, organs, bone and blood itself – she sought revenge. Blood for blood – it was law in the Land of the Dead...[/blockquote] Averazia Cool-Down [1/1]
Akimoto’s attack had only managed to graze the shoulder, but no matter. This wasn’t the type of attack that stopped. She saw almost in slow motion how the hollow sought to push her still revolving blade away. She frowned in confusion. It was then she noticed the hollows other claw coming in for a killing strike across her throat.
“Damn hollows” she thought. “I’m being underestimated” she realised with an inner smirk. Continuing her rapid spin she altered the height of it to cross the incoming claw. Anything that hollow crossed with her sword she was about to lose. Her own reiatsu highly experienced in focusing on pure cutting force in her blade which not be stopped by anything but the toughest of hierro’s, or another blade. The newly launched attack from the hollow incoming just as her blade was circling around.
At the same moment she landed. Not stopping her momentum she bent her legs to absorb her fall before kicking off again, this time in a direct twirl. Her blade still spinning around her, she continue her furious assault, this time manoeuvring all around her enemy, leaping and ducking throughout, attacking from all heights.

[I've asked and it seems no one's really sure what would happen... some say the sonido wouldn't have worked, some say it would have xD more have told it it would have so I'll just post like it did ]
Itamiku would find himself stepping on air instead of a foot. Frowning, he turned, his right arm coming up. Yeah... figures... his speed was undeveloped. He had been so focused in Martial Arts, he was too slow compared to this spirit who excelled in speed. His arm met air as he had expected the hollow to try to take advantage of a strike from behind. Nothing... He was near the shinigami! There wasn't anything he could do from this range... bending down, he picked up a rock about as big as a base ball. Luckly, he'd been a pitcher in his Little League when he was six years old! Well... time to see if he retained the finesse he had developed in those days! Winding up, he threw the rock a moment after the shinigami's spell went off and a few moments after the spirit thing jabbed (couldn't see that) at the Shinigami. In fact, the only part of the hollow he could see was the mask and its legs. This time, he wouldn't have to move to do some damage! The rocked veered off course and Itamiku's eyes widened as he worried it would hit the Shinigami in his weak point. However, it seemed to almost curve and would strike powerfully on the kneecap of the hollow a second after it was thrown from the 10 meters distance that lay between them. Today, Itamiku was probably the luckiest guy alive, not only did he unintentionally dodge exploding dirt ants, but if the rock hit the hollow's movements would be very strained, even one who was origionally fast would find it hard to move with a busted knee cap. He took off toward the spirit and the shinigami. The Shinigami said something about being long range... He just hoped he'd be as fast as that stupid spirit who was running from him so he could hold him to the spot or something.

[Dear Admin that checks Greed/Angel battle, if you may, please check whether my action of chant-shunpo-cast is allowed or not. Guess the battle is paused until the judgment] Kokaku was staring at the hollow all the time, and as soon as the hollow disappeared out of his sight, he could see it clearly. Apparently, shinigami wasn't the only user of high-speed flicker. Must be behind! Kokaku thought as the hollow wasn't on his sight area anymore and quickly performed a shunpo of his own, which put him 3 meters ahead of his current position, he also turned 180 degrees along with the shunpo.
He'd look around the ground first, but the black color of the hollow was too hard to be ignored and Kokaku got it locked on, he was now face-to-face with it, 3 meters at most. Since he shunpo'ed before he could finish his chanting, now it's the time to get it done, "Bakudo no Yon: Hainawa." The yellow chain would wrap around the hollow 3 meters away.
As soon as the hollow got chained, Kokaku would closes in, katana in hands and delivers a quick stab at the middle of the hollow's mask. Then, he would turn the edge of his blade(which would be inside the hollow's mask after a successful stab) to the right with all the strength of his body, then pushed his blade outward from the hollow with a horizontal slash. The strikes would take one quarter(the right-bottom quarter) off if they were connected.
If the chain was dodged unfortunately, then Kokaku would descent down to the surface of Earth again. The surface was dangerous, but he has to draw the hollow down anyway because he knew that the human couldn't fight in mid-air and he needed his help to win. Or he will do something else, if unexpected things happen.

[[ OOC: You shouldn’t be able to chant while you’re using a shunpo, but I’m pretty sure you can chant, shunpo and then finish off the chant since the pause wouldn’t be more than a few seconds apart. If not then ill edit my post but I think for now we should carry on since it isn’t really a big deal .]] "Well I mistimed that rather embarrassingly..." The hollow thought to himself. He was expecting to flicker away from his original location in such a moment that the shinigami would fire his kido at his previous location, hitting nothing but the air. Unfortunately however whether the man was just pathetically slow at chanting or perhaps he planned for this, either way the hollow was now on his guard. As the rope of energy shot itself toward Ezequiel, he flung his arm toward it in an attempt to shrug it off. With the momentum from his previous attempt to jab the shinigami, this was the best he could do in order to stop himself from being fully bound. With the yellowish rope now snapped onto his right arm restricting his movements, the hollow would take two large jumps backward in order to dodge the shinigami’s incoming attack. Having felt something graze past his thigh, the hollow immediately looked down to inspect the wound. Luckily it was nothing more than a bruise although he would first have to land to truely take onboard how much damage had been caused; with the hopes of winning this fight were starting to look bleak. With a safe 4 meters separating him from the zanpakuto wielding man, the hollow set about freeing himself from the chains binding him. Using his jagged teeth, he began gnawing through the kido, rather easily ripping through it as if it were wet paper. With the tide of the battle quickly turning, Ezequiel knew he would have to do whatever it toke to win or at least escape with all his limbs intact. Having just managed to make out that a rock had been flung at him, the hollow had almost instinctively used his power on it, causing the object to molt into a small and common house fly. The fly’s goal was simple, latch onto the shinigami’s back inconspicuously and await further instructions where it would remain there out of sight, hidden under the folds of his black robe. “Two against one, you really can’t call this a fair fight can you? And there was me thinking you were the ‘good guys’."

[myself and Shinzu have talked, we're still at an impass about the rock, but other than that we've come to an understanding ]
Itamiku watched as the rock hit the target in the thigh and nearly winced himself at how painful the hit looked. It wasn't a full on hit, but it got the side in a glancing blow that still looked equally as painful, perhaps not breaking the leg, but on any human, his thigh would be bruised by that hit. However, the rock disappeared as it was starting to bounce away. Itamiku didn't know waht to make of it, but he saw his opponent was bound by the shinigami's Kido. Taking advantage of his temporarly bound form, Itamiku ran over to the Spirit who was tied up and now chewing on the rope his mind perhaps numbed by pain, too busy to be ready for the human to suddenly appear in front of him from the near immediate sprint he exhibited, his arm outstretched allowing the speed to provide the force of the punch right at the Hollow's mask. A large crack would resound as the mask would shatter as the unsuspecting Hollow flew backward, landing in a heap of broken mask fragments, chewed rope, and blood. If the attack hit, this would leave only a few moments for the spirit until he went wherever it was dead hollows went.
“Two against one, you really can’t call this a fair fight can you? And there was me thinking you were the ‘good guys’."
Itamiku would frown at the hollow's words and spit on the ground next to the crumpled, defeated hollow, the saliva mixing with blood as it stained the grass an invisible red.
"Good guys? What the hell are you talking about? I'm Kyousha, Itamiku. Let it be known that I'm not a good guy. I'm just here to take out the trash."First Lotus 2/10 Sprint 2/3 [+Reiatsu to cover the distance]

A short range rope shot, would it get the hollow? Kokaku's eyes was fixed on the rope and the hollow now. Bingo! It was a near-perfect hit for the black-and-white shinigami, locking the hollow's arm in position. A wide, evil smile appeared on the shinigami's face. The evil sense in his heart at this very moment was more than the evil thoughts of the hollow.
He pushed the attack with a lunge but the hollow was faster than him. Obviously, when you see someone walking toward you with a sword, you will move away from it. In this case, the hollow jumped backward just as soon as the shinigami got his feet moved. I hate to admit it but this one is quicker than the other hollows I fought...except maybe one more The face of a samurai-looking hollow flashed on Kokaku's mind, it was the hollow that defeated him as easy as eating candy.
The flashing was really taking the precious time away. Time was so important in a fight. By now, the hollow was trying to bite his way out of the chain bind and Kokaku wouldn't allow the the hollow to do so, he handed the black blade into his left hand and took a few flashing steps to close in the distance. Appearing at the left side of the hollow, Kokaku has his right's index finger locked on the left edge of the hollow mask(middle of the forehead in terms of vertical height and left edge in terms of horizontal height).
His head turned 75 degrees to the right so he could aim the shot good, his finger being just inches away from the hollow started to illuminate. "Hado no Yon: Byakurai!" The illumination was static for one and a half second at most. After that, it was the piercing white light that filled the air straight line through the hollow's head.
"Being fair to you is being unfair to myself. Sorry." The first Byakurai he chanted on the beginning of the battle was just a tactical approach. He hid the fact that he could cast it chantless, so that he could use it as a surprise attack in critical situation.

Taking a step back the hollow would grit his teeth, finally noticing the pain surrounding the wound caused with each leg motion. Every attempt to move his leg would send his thigh into an uncontrollable quiver, a fact which would undoubtedly affect his speed which most probably was his only advantage in this fight. “That human brats more trouble than he’s worth” Ezequiel thought to himself. Ripping through the chains were no problem in fact it only toke a few moments to do so, however the more pressing concern was the duos next attack. Instinctively the hollows eyes darted toward the shinigami whilst making every attempt possible in keeping the human in his line of sight. Darting away from the incoming kido and punch was not going to possible with Ezequiel’s injured leg, instead he would have to really on more practical methods as to leave this situation in one piece or without any smoldering holes on him. Luckily the hollow had seen the shinigami’s kido being performed not too long ago, allowing him to know exactly what was coming his way as the man raised his finger. A split second before the shinigami would fire his kido, the fly which was planted on his back would detonate leaving a non fatal wound however causing just enough pain and an impact to throw off the man’s aim. With the attack being a thin bolt of lightning which would require careful aim and precision, the shock would likely cause the attack to miss the hollows head by inches. With this now out of the way Ezequiel fixed his focus on the human whose attack had already commenced. “Dam can’t dodge.” He thought to himself, instinctively raising his arms in the air as he tried to block the incoming attack from reaching his mask. Upon the man’s fists making contact, the hollow would be sent flying backward into the air as he used his uninjured leg to push off from the ground midway between being launched in order to gain some further distance. As he finally landed the hollow would stumble over, unable to control the momentum caused from flying meters through the air. “Thanks for that, I needed an escape route.” He yelled, clearly trying to make light of the situation in an attempt to mask the damage which had been caused by the human. Finding it difficult to clench his fist clearly shown that he had now sustained far too much damage to continue fighting. Forcefully dragging himself up, the hollow would stagger upward, clearly finding it difficult to stand up straight. Raising his arm which showed signs of taking a battering, the hollow sliced the air behind him, sending several black cracks to bleed from his hands downward path. Upon the opening of Garganta, the hollow would have to force himself to fall into its murky depths by leaning forward, being unable to even take a single step forward. Having thought ahead, the ground in which the hollow pushed off from as he was sent flying had molted into several dozen ants which long since began to spread themselves out from their original location. Should either the shinigami or human attempt to stop the hollows escape, each one of the tiny creatures would detonate simultaneously, distracting if not injuring anyone near to them. As the portal shut itself tight, leaving no trace of it or the hollows existence, only a single voice was sent echoing through the riverpark. “To think I’d lose against a pair of scum like you. Until I find you two again don’t you dare die, the honor of prematurely ending yours lives now belongs to me and me alone.” [Exit]

Itamiku felt as his fist made contact with the hollow. But there wasn't the loud crack of the mask he had aimed for... the right arm of the Spirit had barely managed to raise in time as he was hit backward. Itamiku let out a 'Tch' as the Hollow gave a sharp toothed grin.
“Thanks for that, I needed an escape route.”
Though he was thinking Itamiku, the spirit didn't look too good himself.
"What was that? didn't you say this was the part I died?" Itamiku asked, with a grim smile, watching his opponent drag himself to a standing position, hunched over and losing a black liquid he could only guess was this Spirit's blood. Itamiku watched as the Spirit raised its arm. Itamiku raised his right hand and took a fighting stance, expecting the Hollow to keep fighting, but when he turned and sliced the air behind him Itamiku faltered in his conviction for a moment. What was... that?
Behind the hollow was a black rip in time space that held about it a dark feeling. A certain call he wanted to respond to but didn't know how. What... was that feeling? He was too busy wondering what exactly all this was to chase the Hollow... besides, it was too far away to chase.
“To think I’d lose against a pair of scum like you. Until I find you two again don’t you dare die, the honor of prematurely ending yours lives now belongs to me and me alone.”
"Yeah, wouldn't dream of it!" Itamiku called back to the Hollow. And he was the only one who would put that Hollow down for good. He would release his fighting stance only when the black rip in time-space disappeared fully, only then would he drop to a knee. He wasn't tired, but rather his right hand was shaking, adrenaline pumping through his veins still. Closing his green eyes, he took a deep breath calming himself down. After a moment, he'd turn to the Shinigami.
"Eh... good job, eh? First time I've seen one of those things!" Itamiku smiled and let out a small laugh, his brown bangs falling into his eyes as he stood up and shook his head, his hair getting out of his face. "Question." He said, his brows furrowing the slightest bit in his confusing, looking from where the portal was a moment before to the shinigami.
"What was that thing anyway?"

"Byakurai." KABOOM!!! Not so loud but there's certainly some sort of explosion occurred on the shinigami's back, which pushed his body forward and his right arm upward with the motion. The white lightning pierced through the sunny air, like some sort of little laser beam aimed at an aircraft up in the air.
Darn! Keeping his thought, Kokaku put his force on the feet forward to stop the pushing force generated by the explosion behind him. Luckily, his partner was going for his finishing blow too at almost exact moment as Kokaku did, it was a straight punch with a huge amount of momentum created by the dashing of the human.
It was such a close hit, the hollow raised its arms barely before it could be a direct hit on its mask. Still, the blow sent the hollow flying for quite some distance there. "“Thanks for that, I needed an escape route.” The hollow stood and his arm pierced the air, creating a dark portal which the shinigami knew what exactly was going on.
The shinigami jammed the blade inside his hand and ran toward the escaping hollow. Too bad, his plan was interrupted by the explosions on the ground. It was like a mine field or sort, as he was closer to the hollow, the explosive tends to be more powerful. After a few attempts of 'charge forward and then forced to leap backward', Kokaku gave up. Not like he has any choice since the dark portal was already closing.
Now, Kokaku was on the wanted list of another hollow. Great. He then sheathed his blade and walked to the human. It was first time he saw a human with such ability and the gut to fight a hollow. Well, not like he knew what was that anyway. "Hollow. Some sort of malevolent deceased souls of dead humans. They can go back to their homeworld with the portal, I believe human refer to that place as "Hell". Anyway, I am Kokaku Nishimura, happy to meet you, Itamiku-san." The shinigami brought his right hand out for a handshake.

[OOC: EvilAngel, I am sorry but I must declare that your counter to Greed's attack is insufficient resulting in your likely death. Though you did well to attack from behind, you allowed too many opportunities for the opponent to realize your attacks and counter. Greed's movements allow her to both prevent you from altering your blade height since movement during a spinning motion is very difficult. Her subtle movements allow her to strike at your neck, however, since you failed to state the details of your attack, I cannot clearly state the situation in full detail.
Thankfully though, you are not dead as of yet but are greatly injured. Without help soon, you will perish and die from the wounds. Your survival is only due to your spinning motion throwing both Greed's aim and your body alignment out of whack. Thus, here is where the both of you will leave off:
Greed's attack rips through the side of your neck causing deep lacerations; disabling your ability to retain consciousness. You will faint and fall to the ground and soon begin to bleed out. Should no one help you, you will die from the wounds. Greed is standing next to your unconscious body, doing whatever. Likely touching herself . . . just kidding. Lol.
If you have any problems with this judgment, you may PM me about it. It is your post Greed.]

Blood…!? She was shocked. It covered her claws entirely, oozing at the tips as the drops came together for a moment before losing their battle to gravity and slowly coating the ground. Both palms remained opened and outstretched before her eyes, each appendage drawing closer slowly as she remained still and in place. It’s…everywhere… She was trembling now, her previous fury suddenly subsided under the presence of the fluid she so effortlessly helped produce. And now, as the sudden set of actions continued to eternally replay and loop in her head, she would wonder just why her instinct ushered such swift death. Why…why…? She was flustered now, the sudden resuming vacuum of power no longer making sense in the head of female Hollow. Still, her energy levels were rising, the foreign reiatsu from the downed shinigami female welcomed unconsciously with open arms. What little life left within the mangled frame of the girl would now slowly enter Rosa’s absorption range, though it no longer mattered – she had been the one to bring the violence she so adamantly ran away from. Why…did I just…do that!? No longer able to contain herself, a loud, pain stricken scream escaped her mouth, a slightly bit more human than her regular hollow wails usually were like. It was her soul in pain, somehow sad over the events that transpired, yet unable to explain her simultaneous pleasure that somehow arose from the soon-to-be corpse twitching before her. I’m…sorry… One last sad glance, and it would soon be for naught. The energy within Rosa now came to her all at once. In one single bout of emotional stress, all of her Sonido [3/3] would be consumed at once, double in length under the extended influenced of the charged energy provided by Avarizia. Please…die painlessly… In a blink she was no more, sixty meters easily transgressed as the sonido allowed her nefarious soul to maneuver through the dark night and towards the closing Garganta that granted exile to another member of my race. Now, as she became one with the darkness, a hollowfied Rosa would weep within. She finally understood – she was truly was dead within, and nothing would ever change that. » Exit [/blockquote] Avaricia [1/3]
As Itamiku watched the Hollow fall into the black portal, the shinigami drew his Zanpakuto and charged at the hollow faster than Itamiku could run himself. Explosions lined the ground in front of the spirit and made the white masked enemy's escape complete. The shinigami jumped back unharmed landing next to Itamiku. Apparently he realized the fight was over and sheathed his sword.
"Hollow." The shinigami said suddenly to Itamiku's question. "Some sort of malevolent deceased souls of dead humans. They can go back to their homeworld with the portal, I believe human refer to that place as "Hell". Anyway, I am Kokaku Nishimura, happy to meet you, Itamiku-san." The shinigami brought his right hand out for a handshake which Itamiku readily accepted with his own. It was a firm handshake between men. The American found this to be a little funny seeing as none of this would have ever happened had he not transfered to Japan... heck, he'd be a normal kid with a bright future ahead of him instead of a guy fighting Hollows for his own survival...
"So, this... Hollow... what's he doing out of Hell in the first place? Seems like if he knew there were guys like you here, he wouldn't risk getting killed." Itamiku shrugged, not doubting the shinigami's words, but not fully grasping them either. In fact, a curiosity struck him about the black portal. A portal to hell, eh? Sounded like lots of tough Demons would be in there! After hearing the explaination of why the Hollows came out here anyway, Itamiku would tilt his head to the right, producing a crack that relaxed the man. "So, you Shinigami are here to fight away the Hollow, eh? Not meaning to be rude or anything... but why are you people keeping an eye on me? I ran into two of your kind a few days ago and they seemed interested in what I was..." Itamiku studied Kokaku's face, seeing if the same interest was evident in his eyes, "What makes me so special to be able to see those freaks?"

And the man shook his head gently, now they were officially, acquaintance to each other. "So, this... Hollow... what's he doing out of Hell in the first place? Seems like if he knew there were guys like you here, he wouldn't risk getting killed." Well, this boy sure has a lot of questions. However, it was acceptable since almost everyone would be interested in knowing more about afterlife since they couldn't be proven by science alone and there's certainly a lot of undiscovered-by-human part of it.
"They consumes human or whatever they can find for power. Or something, just to satisfy their hunger. Food, being the highest priority for any living things and spirit alike, is worth the risk of getting killed. After all, it has the ability to fight back anyway." The boy listened and tilted his head just like a real brawler and there goes his next question.
"So, you Shinigami are here to fight away the Hollow, eh? Not meaning to be rude or anything... but why are you people keeping an eye on me? I ran into two of your kind a few days ago and they seemed interested in what I was..." The boy stared at the shinigami and Kokaku just stared as the boy did, "What makes me so special to be able to see those freaks?"
"I am not keeping an eye on you. You are the one that take a walk around the park and emerges in the battlefield on your own. And I certainly don't know about you before that. What makes you so special? Well, your eyes can see spirits, that's it I guess. Some human tend to be extraordinary and you are one of them I guess." Just as Kokaku answered the question, he sensed the hollow reiatsu disappeared and reappeared so far away.
Great...I almost forgot there's another hollow in the area. Then, he spotted another reiatsu, he must have missed this since he was so focused on his own battle. Why would the hollow leaves the area so fast then?
Kokaku leaped up into the air, rudely ignoring the boy's upcoming question if he was going to ask any and ran toward the location of the hollow which it was minutes ago. Surprisingly, he saw a hell lot of red on the grass, must be blood. Kokaku landed to check on the lying girl. Shit, he knew this girl, she taught him zanjutsu days ago and now she was heavily injured if not dead by the hollow he assumed. If the boy followed him here, he would say "Sorry, I got things to do." and concentrated himself to open the space gate between the human world and Soul Society, he has to save the girl. As soon as the gate was created, he lifted the girl up his shoulder and stepped into the gate.

It had all happened so quickly. I couldn’t even tell what ‘it’ was, how was it I came to be sitting here. I watched the hollow gape at me before fleeing. I tried to get up and fight but, my body would not react to my commands. It was almost as if I was watching it through someone else’s eyes. I felt my body tilt and crumple, my body swaying left my head tilting right. Slowly I hit the floor on my side.
If felt my robes get wet with some strange warm liquid. I felt my body being to cool, as though the temperature dropped into a mild chill. I felt the liquid pour down my back, onto the grass beneath. With strange difficulty I dragged my hand up to feel my neck. I felt the warmth drench my fingers as I grazed my skin. I rose it over my face to see it painted a deep red, it was all shiny too. A few drops fell onto my face. I blinked. Blood?
“Oh, that’s what it was” I thought, my mind fading from consciousness, my mind already shutting down. As I looked at my hand I could see it beginning to blurr and darken. I coughed suddenly, and spluttered. More of the red liquid. I could feel it oozing down my chin now, and falling down my cheeks. “It’s funny stuff…. Blood…. So strange….”
The last thing I saw before the darkness consumed the rest of my light and consciousness was a shadow looming over me.
“Probably that fat greed hollow” were my last thoughts

Itamiku listened to the man's explaination and saw his eyes perk. The man's face hardened a little as he looked in the direction the shinigami was looking. The other bolted in a direction, leaving Itamiku trailing, running as fast as he could in the direction the Shinigami took off in. As he neared, red stuff was on the grass. What...? blood. the only answer that was feasable... but who's? The question wasn't long asked before the answer was lying before him with the man hunched over her.
"Sorry, I got things to do." The man said, focusing, a gate appearing, the man seperating Itamiku from the gate.
"You're just gonna leave me here? Shinigami!" Itamiku ran foward as the shinigami went through the gates, however was barred from following any further. He wanted to help, however he didn't know how he would help by following... he balled his right hand into a fist and lashed out at the gate, the door ringing out with a clang as it disappeared from in front of the American. What the hell was that gate again? What was up with these Shinigami and Hollows? Just where exactly did he fit in with all this?
Itamiku let out a sigh as he jammed his hands into his sweatshirt pockets, his eyebrows pressed into a frown, his eyes full of confusion as he walked away silently. What was this all about... and when would he finally figure out what the hell he was?
