Abilities:
- Hekirei (Burst Zero) [Zanjutsu] – Hekirei, gained at Rank Five, is the one first and primary ability of Hakumaru. The uniquely dark blade is capable of channeling reiatsu through it, creating a blast of energy that bears curious resemblance to a cero. This blast is pitch black and glows with an inner venomous green color. The mass of reiatsu forms around either one of the blades of Hakumaru and clings to it. It can then be thrown off or shot off of the blade. This reiatsu blast has given up the explosive properties of normal energy bursts to instead develop enormous cutting ability. Anything caught in the blast is typically ripped to shreds, as though it was subjected to a flurry of powerful sword blows. This attack is powerful enough to rip apart defensive shields that are the equivalent to kido spells numbered Forty-Two and below. There is no set limit on the use of this ability, but due to it’s immense power, it is not an attack Takuya can release constantly. At the cost of more reiatsu, he can enhance it’s destructive potential accordingly.
- Hekirei Hana (Burst Zero Edge) [Zanjutsu] – Gained at Rank Fifteen, Hekirei Hana is an expansion of the most elementary form of Hakumaru’s power. This ability is identical to Hekirei, in that it gathers a burst of dark, ripping reiatsu around the edges of Hakumaru’s blades. However, rather than releasing it, Takuya compresses the burst of reiatsu into the blades of Hakumaru, exponentially enhancing their cutting ability. This ability is incredibly deadly and increasing the cutting power of Hakumaru by many factors, allowing it to tear through metal like butter and break through defensive shields equivalent to kido numbered Eighty-One and lower. This attack is even strong enough to cut through the zanpaktou of a weaker Shinigami. This ability consumes more reiatsu then a simple Hekirei, though not quite as much as two of the blasts. This ability to cut with such force typically lingers for several rounds, though it will dissolve quickly if forced to break a high level shield.
- Hekirei Atehara (Burst Zero End Field) [Zanjutsu] – The deepest master y of Hakumaru’s Shikai form, gained at Rank Eighteen, is Hekirei Atehara. This ability is highly deadly and is only used as a last resort. Takuya, through much practice, has learned to manipulate the cutting power of the Hekirei through a new medium; namely, himself. The ability is unrefined but possesses incredible force. My channeling the full force of Hekirei through himself, Takuya has gained the ability to exponentially increase it using ambient reiatsu and his own bodily energy. He can then release this force in an area blast all around him. The field spreads outward at a rate of five meters per second and subjects anything caught within it to a literal maelstrom of vicious cuts and slashes, mutilating it. The field extends to thirty meters in radius before fading away. This ability is incredibly draining on Takuya’s reiatsu and consumes as much energy as at least three Heikrei.
