Name: Unzari, Yoshinori
Age:50 [appears 19]
Height: 5'11''
Weight: 170 lbs
Appearance:
Yoshinori looks to be a in his teen years despite his age being much older. He has very normal features and nothing too extreme about him. His expression usually is either tired or a general uninterested look. You can see bags underneath his eyes slighty which is due to his spending a good majority of his time sleeping. He has black hair witch is long but he keeps it up in a sort of ponytail that stays spiked upwards. He doesn't often smile and seems to avoid most things that would make anyone smile. On his right bicep is a scar witch he keeps covered for a reason yet to be determined.
His clothing is the standard shihakushĂ´ with some slight modifications. The only real noticable change is the right sleeve has been removed for whatever reason. He also wears a black wristband around his right wrist as well as a black bandana around his right bicep. Besides those minor changes he keeps the rest of the uniform as it is, for lack of interst in doing anymore modifications. He wears his Zanpakutou in a different way than molst shinigami. It is parralell to the and hangs off of his lowere back. The hilt is pointing out towards the right so he may easily reach back and grab it as he holds the blade pointing out.
History:
While he was alive, Yoshinori was a self exiled person. He hated the troubles of everyday life and like to just float through life, carefree. Some called him lazy or pathetic, he shrugged them off as if they were nothing. At a very young age though, Yoshinori was able to see ghosts. He found that the ghosts were actually easier to ignore than people, because no one would find it odd if he didnt talk to one, for they couldnt see the ghosts as he could. Ghosts would try and talk with him, try to get his help for certain things, but he could not be bothered with it. He had important naps to take. All fo this changed when he met a certain ghost. He turned nineteen and one day met a ghost who in every way was similar to him.
Every day he would meet the ghost at the same spot every day. They would lay in the grass and watch the clouds either sleeping or discussing random subjects. They became friends of sorts, but as time passed Yoshinori began to wonder why he had not passed on to wherever souls went. Even the ghost was confused as to why he had not passed on. Yoshinori simply shruged it off as he did with most issues and continued enjoying the company of another person like him. They would conitue to meet in the same spot until one day, a shinigami had arrived to send his friend to the soul society. He was stunned to actually see a shinigami. He sat back in fear as his friend was sent away to wherever the soul society was.
The shinigami he encountered had this air of ominous power about him. The power to just take a soul away to unknown places terrified Yoshinori. The Shinigami had completely ignored him, because of aside from his terror, Yoshinori showed no emotion just that blank stare he had always showed. It was apart of his personality. Even if he was overjoyed or mourning the lose of a firend, he kept that same look that was almost like he had a bad attitude. Once the shinigami had left he suddenly had the feeling that he would like to become one of those ominous beings. One who could rome free because of the power he had. He knew nothing of what it meant to be a shinigami.
That was until his death a short few months later. He had been killed trying to defend someone from a mugger. Despite his procrastinating attitude, he couldn't sit by and watch a defensless person be harmed. He stepped in and easily fought off the petty theif but to his suprise he would be stabbed several times by his friends waiting in the shadows for him. It didn't take long after his death to be sent to the soul society. He was now amongst many people who had died that he himself did not know. He recognized no one. He was finally...truely alone. For some reason he enjoyed the peace. No one would bother him as they searched for their own families. He could finally be at peace in this place.
But his peace would be short lived. He was soon chosen to enter the academy. It's true he was happy he could finally pursue becoming one of the shinigami, but his personality constantly clahsed with his goals. All the work that had to be done was to much for him. He study at the bare minimum, therefore his studies took much longer than the average academy student. Regardless of all this there was one part of his studies in the academy he loved. When he was given the opportunity to train his Zanjutsu skills. For some reason he could finally find some energy when he was clashing swords with someone. He would actually start to show the beginings of a smile but not enough to notice to much. You could tell by the look in his eyes, he was finally alive when he fought.
After ten long years in the cademy he would graduate and be placed inside of the 11th division. He was placed there for his skill with his Zanpakutou. He very much dreaded the idea of being in a division where all it's members lived to fight and nothing more. He assumed it would cut into his relaxation quite a bit. He questioned how he was placed in that division even with his personality geared towards other divisions, with less work hopefully. He knew it couldn't be helped and once again...shruged it off as he always did.
Despite being a very strong fighter, Yoshinori chose to remain out of the limelight, therfore he remained unseated. He would not claim a seat until he felt like he wanted to. For the time being, he had enough work as it was being an unseated shinigami. This was once again his personality showing he was strong but not willing to use his strength out of pure laziness. One thing about his personality as well was that being an outcast never would bother him. This allowed him to use the few kido spells he knew, even though the division would eventually find out and not accept him as one of them. Though he himself never used the kido in a battle it would make no difference if he had to.
He would spend days on end talking to his Zanpakutou, almost reassuring it that when he di release it, he didn't care what type of weapon it was. He would use any means necessary to become that powerful wanderer he strived to be. One day he would be so strong, he would be able to relax as he wandered the world. No responsibility, no problems...
