Volke Ryuza
Name: Volke Ryuza
Age: 70 years of life and soul society life total (looks like he is in his 20’s)
Height: 6’2
Weight: 210 lbs
Appearance:
Volke is a man who stands a bit taller then 6 feet high. He is of average weight and has an athletic build for someone his height. His hair is fairly long, but due to an orange headband it is held back so it goes no lower then the top of his neck and never strays into his eyes. His hair is a light brown color. His eyes are green, and are probably the most noticeable trait on his face. Though the rest is usually kept covered, as explained later, His other facial features are actually quite nice. He is actually almost to handsome for someone who covers his face. Those who haven’t seen beneath the garment all have heard and spread rumors about his ugliness.
Generally he wears the normal black robes worn by all shinigami. The only differences are the extra garments he wears in accompaniment. As said before, he wears a dark orange headband to assist in keeping his hair under control. Along with this he wears a dark orange scarf that hangs behind him loosely and a dark orange garment that covers from his nose down his face. All of these are general garments, and even when releasing his shikai or bankai it wont change.
History:
Entry:
Volke was much like all others who live within soul society. At one point he was alive. As a young 23 year old, Volke was living within Karakura town, as a Russian refugee to Japan. He had landed a couple of jobs and as usual he was headed to one of them via the bus. It was a typical day, but one not many would forget for a long time. The bus sped down the highway, as it usually did until a voice came over the bus’s internal loudspeaker. The only odd thing about this voice, was that it was not the bus drivers.
As it turns out, the voice belonged to a terrorist. He had elaborately rigged the bus to explode should its speed drop below fifty-five miles per hour. Granted, police were all called in for this situation, and keeping a buss up to fifty-five miles per hour for a while until the perpetrator was caught seems like a simple task, but as it turns out it wasn’t. As Volke and the other passengers found out, eventually the highway ends, or you run out of gas. Both were slowly happening, and the police new they had to act quickly.
As the proverbial timer was counting down, Volke knew what had to be done. The police began evacuating the bus mid transit, and as they did Volke made sure he would be the last one off. As the last person ahead of him was hauled off onto the transport car, Volke pushed the officer along with him. Volke knew the cops were going to send one of their own in to save all the passengers and try to run the bus itself until its inevitable explosion. He couldn’t allow it. He figured his sacrifice would be just as adequate as anyone else, and he couldn’t bear the thought of someone giving their life up for him. In reality he was wrong. The police were actually going to disarm the bomb, but Volke didn’t think it through in total.
As he steered the bus, and both the road and his gas supply ran short, Volke closed his eye for what seemed like forever until “BOOM”. A white light appeared in front of him. Was he dreaming? As he headed towards it, he could hear voices. What was happening? As he emerged into its source he was amazed. It was as if he had been sent back in time. He had scene paintings of this, pictures depicting feudal Japan. Was this where Japanese go when they die? A rusting looking place? Wherever he was he was astounded.
Abduction:
It wasn’t long before Volke had come to grips with what happened. He still had vague memories of his life, including some from his final hours, but he was able to put it together once he found some information within the Rukongai. It turned out, he was dead. This was soul society, more specifically the area where just about every soul goes to live. He was filled in on Hollow, and Shinigami, about Seireitei and any other thing your general Rukongai resident would need. He was actually pleasantly surprised with life after death. It wasn’t all that much different. Just a little less modern. He was able to set himself up with a job in Rukongai in one of the restaurants where he very often came across a plethora of individuals ranging from normal residents to Shinigami themselves. There is where it happened.
During one of his shifts, Volke heard commotion coming from the street. He looked around and asked one of the people in the crowd about the goings on, and understood. Apparently every once in a while people with higher then average spiritual power were recruited from the Rukongai and trained within Seireitei to be Shinigami. To make a long story short, Volke was recruited. They brought him to the academy, and the rest was basically history. He learned and is now trying to become a seated member of one of the divisions, his eyes set upon the 7th division. Many people enquire about the garment over his face, but it merely is a habit. In Russia where he was originally from, scarf’s and facial covering were important to avoid the cold, but now it is just something he is so accustomed to that he feels weird without it.
Specialists: Hoho specialist(4 shunpo)/Kido Specialist/Zanjutsu non-specialist/Hakuda non-specialist
Rank: 0
Division: 7th
Seat: Unseated as of yet
Zanpakutou
Appearance:
Unreleased Form:
Kinzokame is a silver colored blade connected to a golden guard that then leads into a grey and black hilt. The sheath of the sword is red with gold colored bands around it.
Shikai form:
Once release, Kinzokame turns into a much different blade. It now has a double sided blade instead of one like a katana. The base color of the sword is a combination of black and red, but it never seems to keep the same design. It is almost as if the blades colors are constantly shifting. Its as if the black coloring is merely a shadow.
Manifestation: Kinzokame manifests itself as a silver porcupine. It is essentially just a larger porcupine, But has a silver coloring that upon closer inspection will seem like it is in fact metal. His demeanor is actually quite pleasant, unless insulted or just plain disrespected in some way.
Inner World: The inner world of Kinzokame is actually an oddity. It takes place in what would appear to be a city, that has been overrun with foliage. Its as if there has nobody living in the city for decades, so the area, particularly the buildings have been taken back by plants. There are trees even growing through the center of skyscrapers.
Release Phrase: Rain Down, Kinzokame
Abilities: Not unlocked yet
(5)Kinzoku Houmen (metal release):When first unlocked, Kinzokame has the unique ability to secrete a metallic gel from its blade. When swung or forced off by reiatsu, the gel will fly forward in wads, generally separating and forming into a bunch of metal spikes. The spikes can vary in size, but generally will not be bigger then a football, and only that big on rare occasions. The size helps determine the number. Should there be 100 needles with one release they would be fairly small (about the size of a pencil). When first launched the user may designate a number of them to have an explosive aspect to them. Upon contact with something solid they would explode with a decently powerful blast each (strength depends on your kido or equivilent skill). Because of the extra reiatsu within these particular needles it is easy to pick them out from the rest.
(10)Kinzoku Kansen (metal infection): As the users power grows, so to does the blades abilities. Once this level is achieved, the user is now able to allow the secreted metal to come off the blade much like it does in Kinzoku Houmen, but instead of forming needles it will stay in globs, attaching to whatever it hits and solidifying completely. It adds weight to the afflicted, as well as reduced mobility should it be on a joint. Should the metallic gel attach to a bladed weapon including that of a zanpakuto the blade would basically act as if dulled, losing its cutting edge. The weight of the substance makes it extremely hard to move and should enough cover the victim it could create a type of shell which prevents them from moving completely. The only upside to having the metal on you is that is also grants a defensive armor of sorts. The metal is generally strong enough to deflect any non-release zanpakuto attacks/physical attacks from specialists of the type. And would generally dampen kido or equivalent effects by about half (though breaking in the process).
(15)Kinzoku Manipulation: When the users Shikai power reaches this stage, they are now more proficient with controlling their metal gel. They are now able to control their metal even when it is away from their blade. It takes a decent amount of reiatsu to use, but basically it allows the user to convert the metal that is no longer on their blade between a hardened and liquid state. Also it allows them to command its movements mid flight, allowing it to become almost like an extension to themselves.

Kido
- Hado No. 33: Sokatsui (Way of Destruction No. 33: Blue Fire, Crash Down) (used 3 of the initial 4 spells in this so I can do it full power and chantless)
Type: Destruction Art.
Description: The user gather reiatsu to their fingers, extending the palm of their dominant hand to point towards the target, fingers extended. The off hand is placed on the dominant shoulder, with the palm facing away from the body. The index and middle fingers of the off hand are extended straight up and the rest are folded into the palm. The dominant hand will crackle with blue energy before releasing a large, flame-like burst of reiatsu from that spreads out in a wide cone fashion, dealing harsh burns to whatever is struck by the reiatsu.
Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! Hado no Sanjuusan: Sokatsui!

Bakudo
- Bakudo No. 8: Seki (Way of Binding: Repulse)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: Condensing the user's reiatsu in front of them, they create a small golden-colored shield of energy. The technique's defensive capability is, unfortunately, highly limited, and even the most powerful of casters will find the ability only capable of blocking Kido of the first Category. However, a secondary ability exists within the spell as well: opponents why physically strike the shield will be knocked backwards, sending them flying a few feet. It also paralyzes the limb that struck it for one turn.
Incantation: The royal protector, true in heart and mind, know the owner of the crown and pledge loyalty unto him. Bakudo no Hachi: Seki!
