Appearance:
Ichidou's face is longish with a totally straight nose and in perfect symmetry. Though not tanned he isn't pale either, for some reason he just doesn't get very tanned easily, but rather keeps stuck somewhere between pale and tanned. As all people who fight with the sword as primary weapon he had very strong arms and torso, overall he is particularly muscular. His hair is black and usually tied in a high pony tail to keep it out of his eyes, though he has two long bangs at both sides of his face which he allows to hang down.
Though after his demise in the real life world Ichidou was no longer a high noble he still acts like and looks like one. Only low (very low) nobility now he wears the standard white tabi socks and Waraji that all Shinigami don. Above that he wears the standard black Hakama and Kimono. There it ends, he wears a white short sleeved haori that has a definite curly design on the edges indicating that he is not a captain, his white obi is tied over this haori, his kimono and hakama, keeping all of this easily together. Over this he wears a sleeveless dark blue haori, also with a curly pattern on the sides. both haori's extend to his ankles. Around his wrists he wears white lacquered wrist protectors, held in place with a blue rope at both ends.
History:Born in feudal Japan in the times of relative peace, Hosokawa Ichidou lived the life of a regular noble, learning the skills of the artisan, the charmer, the artist, as well as the skills of the warrior. However, as Ichidou grew up the two powerhouses of Japan, the Yamana and the Hosokawa families strived both for the ultimate reign over the entire island chain, eventually resulting in what would go into history as the Onin war. As a Hosokawa noble Ichidou was forced to go into battle at the head of a small company of soldiers, trying to take over an enemy castle. Heavily outnumbered Ichidou failed to complete the task that was assigned to him.
One of the few survivors of the battle his allegiance was questioned, as was his Bushido and readyness to die for his lord. In one day he had gone from glorious to honourless and there was only way out of his predicament: Seppuku. Dieing an awful death Ichidou could not leave earth, even after his demise he couldn't leave his family. And thus he came into contact with Shinigami for the first time, whom send him in the end to the afterlive.
Arriving in the afterlife was a big shock to Ichidou, he had gone from high nobility to the lower ranks of nobility at once, whilst some people who used to be mere commoners suddenly emerged in a high noble house. Overtaken by shock he soon came overtaken by something else, illness. This ilness is what had allowed him to survive for a long time. Everything ages, even in the spirit world, though a bit slower. Somehow the mysterious disease had kept him weak for ages, but somehow exceptionally expanded his lifetime. When finally cured, over five hundred years had passed.
Finally able again to partake in normal life Ichidou would pick up his old job of a fighter and enrol in the shinigami academy. Soon it turned out that even though his absence from the fold was long his skill with the sword had not diminished. And his intelligence had also allowed him to be exceptionally good at Kidou, though hohou was a concept difficult for him to grasp. Though the time spend in the academy might have been shorter if his body had been up to strength when he had started his education he was enlisted in the Gotei 13 after eight years, which he passed with two fingers and a knee in his nose (as a matter of speech). Due to his rule abiding nature and strictness he quickly found himself a spot in the sixth division, it seemed that the job assigned to him there was something he was born to do.
Rising in power had never been an easy task and to do that, full concentration and harsh training was needed. Thus Ichidou used a week of holiday he had to lock himself into his room half a day and learn new Kidou and to practice his shot of red fire. It was not uncommon during the rest of these days to see him running around on the training area of the sixth division quarters with a huge bag full of heavy stones on his back. However, when he returned to duty he acted as if nothing had ever occurred and once again became the walking torture machine of lower ranking souls that seemed to ignore a small rule.

When sealed Amatsu Houou's blade is exactly 72.6 centimeters long and the entire thing is 102.5 centimeters long. THe blade itselfs is stainless, extending past the tsuba into a handle that is wrapped in black cloth over an almost white ray skin and ends in a Kashira that looks like a feather. The tsuba is a round image of a phoenix curling around the blade in the middle of the tsuba. The main colour of the saya is red and over 3/4 of the length of the saya, starting from the tsuba is the image of a phoenix flying out. The sageo is black and is truly used to wear the sword instead of just sticking it into a sash.
Shikai
The saya doesn't change at all, however the sword suddenly glows a bit in a feint sunish light after saying the line that calls out Amatsu Houou. on the blade itself a phoenix engraving appears that glows in a feint light.
Manifestation:
Amatsu Houou's manifestation has heaven blue eyes and a yellow coloured slightly hooked beak. Her head is white with a yellow mask over her face which extends into a bright yellow crest from which even longer feathers pop which are coloured in a bright yellow and a vivid orange which makes them look as if they are on fire. From the head extends an elegant medium length flexible neck which has a white plumage, however, some feather tips are coloured black giving a very mild zebra effect on the nape.
The yellow face mask continues along the front of the neck, but splits, creating halfway room for a heaven blue colour, which runs down along with the yellow to the belly, which is covered in feathers of the same colour, bordered by yellow feathers.
However the one of the even more beautiful parts of Ayone are the wings and her back. Under the nape fire coloured feathers extend when she bends her neck, if she keeps her head down those will lay low for more aerodynamica. Under that her dark pink back begins which halfway elegantly turns yellow, extending to the start of the tail. The tops of her wings are bright red, which turns into a clear yellow before extending into the beautiful red colour again. From there the long fuchsia wing feathers extend, which are made even more beautiful due to the heavily decorations with horizontal violet stripes.
There is no argue about one thing, her tail is the most beautiful feathered tail on the face of the earth. It starts with long pink feather, from under which light blue feathers extend that end in a darker shade of blue on the tips of these feathers. The most dominant feature of the tail is a large fan shaped collection of feather, which is coloured light blue with shades of violet and fuchsia. She has a wingspan of about one and a half meter and is thus as large as the regular eagle.
Inner World:The inner world looks like a mountaintop temple in an autumn forest. A light breeze always blows, throwing around autumn coloured leaves at all times. The mountain cannot be left, if Ichidou walks down the one of the stairs down the mountain long enough he will always find himself walking up another stair back to the monastery that compromises a few deserted buildings, though everything is still there in place, as if the monks had prepared everything for the daily prayers and then suddenly disappeared.

Kido
Type: Destruction Art.
Description: The user gathers reiatsu into the palm of their dominant hand, extending their palm forward. The user then places their off hand on their wrist, wrapping their fingers around it. They then gather the reiatsu into a ball of energy floating in front of the palm. The user then releases the ball of red energy forward like a cannon-ball. It will explode on contact with anything, much like a grenade or rocket.
Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado no Sanjuuichi: Shakkahō!

Hadō No. 33: Sōkatsui (Way of Destruction No. 33: Blue Fire, Crash Down)
Type: Destruction Art.
Description: The user gather reiatsu to their fingers, extending the palm of their dominant hand to point towards the target, fingers extended. The off hand is placed on the dominant shoulder, with the palm facing away from the body. The index and middle fingers of the off hand are extended straight up and the rest are folded into the palm. The dominant hand will crackle with blue energy before releasing a large, flame-like burst of reiatsu from that spreads out in a wide cone fashion, dealing harsh burns to whatever is struck by the reiatsu.
Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! Hado no Sanjuusan: Sōkatsui!

Bakudo
Type: Binding Art.
Description: An ability that is both simplistic and useful, and as such it can commonly be seen in practice. It is especially favored amongst members of the Fourth Division, who cannot get a patient to stop struggling against treatment. Gathering Reiatsu, the user will speak the incantation, and then condense the energy as a chain of light from the index and middle fingers of the user's dominant hand, which are held together. The chain will then quickly fly towards the opponent, attempting to act as a restraint to prohibit the opponent from moving. Once bound, the chain is capable of being tied to another object to hold the opponent; the user is not required to maintain the connection between the chain and their hand, allowing them to then perform other actions.
Incantation: My will to succeed be the rope that sustains you; let my breath of light be the light to guide you. Bakudo no Yon: Hainawa!

Bakudō No. 8: Seki (Way of Binding No. 8: Repulse)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: Condensing the user's reiatsu in front of them, they create a small golden-colored shield of energy. The technique's defensive capability is, unfortunately, highly limited, and even the most powerful of casters will find the ability only capable of blocking Kidō of the first Category. However, a secondary ability exists within the spell as well: opponents why physically strike the shield will be knocked backwards, sending them flying a few feet. It also paralyzes the limb that struck it for one turn.
Incantation: The royal protector, true in heart and mind, know the owner of the crown and pledge loyalty unto him. Bakudō no Hachi: Seki!

Bakudō No. 9: Geki (Way of Binding No. 9: Strike)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: Extending the caster's dominant hand forward, they will then begin the incantation for the spell. A red light will begin to completely envelop them, similar to new casters of the Shakkaō. When the incantation is finished, the red light will form as a thin beam of energy, which then flies towards the opponent. The red light, upon striking the opponent, will completely envelop them, hindering any and all movements, greatly reducing their speed capabilities. A sufficient counterspell is required to break the technique, as brute physical force cannot release them from something that is not completely restraining them. Lasts for three turns.
Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!

Bakudō No. 19: Soutei (Way of Binding No. 19: Binding)
Type: Art of Binding
Description: The user gathers reiatsu in their left hand’s fingertips, holding their hand out in front of them. The user’s fingers sprout out a rope, splitting up in five separate ropes, all strong and fifteen centimetres in diameter. The ropes then reach towards the target, and wrap themselves around it – usually with one rope around each arm and leg, and one around their neck. Once trapped, the ropes curl further along the limbs until they are either severed or covering the entire body. The ropes around a joint prevent the joint from functioning.
Incantation: Grow! Seed your fruits, grow your roots, sprout your stem, bare your blossom, drop your fruit! Bakudō no Juukyuu: Soutei!

Bakudō No. 23: Juujika Awaikusari (Way of Binding No. 23: Cross Light Chain)

Description: The user thrusts both of their palms to the sides, and then sweeps them inward, forming a picture square with their fingers. Four crosses made of blue-white light will rise around the target in all four directions, forming a square about four meters in length. Chains of blue-white light will burst from the center of these crosses, one binding to each of the four limbs of the target. These chains can hold a target for two rounds.
Incantation: Blue and white rain! Ten candles, fourteen suns, the loss of a single chariot! Blue lines intersect the core of a threatened king, a thousand white links hold the heart of the assassin at bay! Bakudo no Nijuusan: Juujika Awaikusari!

Bakudō No. 39: Enkosan (Way of Binding No. 39: Arc Shield)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: Creates a spinning shield of energy in front of the user. Gathering reiatsu within the caster's dominant hand, they will then begin chanting the incantation. Eight strands of light will appear to 'star' out from the hand. When the incantation is complete, the energy will begin to rapidly spin, creating an effective barrier against incoming attacks. This spell has the capability to blows and destructive spells up to No. 44.
Incantation: Six stranded star, silken crescent, begin your graceful whirls amongst the will of the sky, and let your true place as protector begin to shine. Bakudo No Sanjukyuu: Enkosan!
