Appearance:
Akimoto is a naturally pale skinned girl, whose saving grace from which making her look weird is her white hair which by the power of contrast lets her seem a little less pale than what she truly is. Her eyes are a silvery-blue in colour, which to some make her seem mysterious, as it is both a very curious eye colour and completely shields her true thoughts and expression(at least from looking into her eyes). Body wise she appears to be quite small, petite even, though this is mainly due to her everlasting age of 17.
She often wears dark makeup she takes from the real world to contrast her naturally fair complexion and give herself a very unusual look in Soul Society. Generally consisting of very dark or black lipstick, mascara, eye liner and finally nail varnish.
One of the main and most notable things about Akimoto visually is how she wears her heart on her sleeve. Her facial expression is always directly linked to her emotions. When she is happy, she smiles with her high cheek bones revealing her teeth. When she is disappointed her frown causes her mouths width to shrink her lips to stick out and her brown to descend. Due to these and infinitely more expressions she is often called cute, a word she hates as she forever haunted by the fact she will not age.
History:
In life she Akimoto was born into a normal family. She grew up with two brothers and a sister and lived with them all with her mother and father. She was an average worker. Learning at a normal rate and producing normal quality of work. She wasn’t considered especially pretty, or ugly, nor was she fat or thin. She was just her, living a normal life. That was until she was killed by enforcers, making an example out of their family. Her father had secretly been a part of some illegal group, and once found out, him and his family were killed, and hung for others to see where betrayal would get them.
Upon finding she was a ghost she was horrified at first, but soon found her family. However the reunion wasn’t to last long when a hollow appeared. It ate her father, killing him again, her mother sacrificed herself to allow her children to run. In the panic and confusion they were separated. After being unable to find them again she was lead to assume they took had been eaten by the strange monster no one else could seem to see. Had she really been so oblivious all her life? Such questions were on going. Soon she began the slow and agonising process of losing her spirit chain. Every day she might loose another chain, as it ate itself. She tried to cut it off but couldn’t. Just as the final process began a rookie shinigami on patrol found her. He was only just about able to perform the Soul Burial in time, sending her to Soul Society. The damage was avoided, barely.
However that would not be realised for some time. Upon appearing in the new world she responding like many other did. Before long she went to learn at the Shinigami academy. During her first classes, she was feeling like she was going to be a failure. She initially had shown no promise in anything. Her first kido blew up in her face, literally. She was disarmed in the first strike during practise with swords. In hand to hand she fell on her face whilst practicing a strike, and in speed she was the slowest. It was only when her instructor took pity on her and gave her a book to read to give her some points in swordplay did she show promise. The following week she dominated in the practise with swords against the same person, much to everyone’s surprise and her teachers’ pleasure.
She was very quick to learn the way of the sword, mastering many forms in astonishing time. However she was not to be as promising in other area’s, in fact she was barely average in other areas, especially Kido. To grasp Kido she spend many hours grappling with the basics just to get those down, while others were moving on up. However, she was noticed for her sword skills, she was even revered as a talent that appears once every generation. However that was said without bearing in mind her other ‘skills’ at which point in time was a poor word to give her abilities, as that was what they lacked very clearly.
She soon graduated from the academy, but not before making applications to a squad. At this point the 11th squad had personally invited her to join them. Though flattered she ultimately declined, due to the nature of the characters of most who joined that squad. Instead she applied and was hastily accepted by the seventh. She quickly formed friends, who would both teach her in their strengths and get taught by her in the art of swordplay. This relationship brought them quickly together in bonds of trust and friendship. Soon she was ready to take her first trip to the human world.
Going back was like going back to a dream she once had a long long time ago. Like all shinigami at first everything was vey hard to learn and understand. Soon she found her first hollow, at first she was very shaken by the brutality and the sheer monstrosity of the creatures. Due to this being the first one she would fight in uncontrolled circumstances. After allot more running and hiding than is written on her report she was finally able to get a killing strike on the hollow.
It quickly became a duty for her to patrol the real world. She became experienced, in fact she became an expert at living at the strange and weird, just completely fascinating human world. In the past 60 years she frequently returns with the latest styles clothing from the human world, claiming it’s “to feel like part of the community in order to be better at picking up strange goings on” however the excuse has never worked to date, and is frequently scolded by her superiors for not being in uniform. She however many times is made to wear clothing she now has distaste for, shows her defiance in her frowned-upon hairstyles.
During her time in the human world she has come to be, realise and accept the fact that she is very lenient, perhaps naively so. The reason for this is that she is aware of the locations of, and meets with frequently with rogue shinigami. Being either shinigami that have abandoned their duties, or left for their own darker reasons. At first when she met one it was a rather awkward situation. He had his hand tightly on his sword, she was looking at him stupidly wondering what exactly she was expected to do. It ended in him revealing to her the mystery that is the difference between Tea and Coffee. Again these are events that mysteriously are not written on any of her reports.
Recently she has been discussing with her captain of gaining a ranking seat. It is rumoured she will be possibly gaining this honour if she can unlock her shikai and make some steps towards mastering it. Though her captain also heavily urges her to improve in at least one other area other than her sword should she get disarmed.

Zanpakutou
Appearance: In it’s standard form, Raikouhana looks like most other swords on a glance. The blade is slightly curved, and is a steel grey-silver colour. The hilt is golden, the shape being a stretched Pentagon elongated on either side that possesses a blade, it looks like a hexagon that had the two sides turned into one on the side which the blade curved. The cloth wrapped around the handle is a darkish purple, hiding the golden-bronze mental that it is wrapped around. The blade itself is 3 feet long making it a little shorter than other swords, with a handle of 7 inches.
Once activated into shikai the blade glows suddenly and splits into several shards, which immediately crackle as they become lightning. Slowly the loose electricity is pulled into a single line, in which their movement slows until it halts into a 4 foot beam of red light, which hums ominously.
Manifestation: Raikouhana appears in the form of a woman wearing futuristic clothing. She has short bleach blond hair that is cut around at the same length that is neck length. She stands 5ft 10 and has a sleek body which is dressed in what can only be described as a silver and white racing-driver suit which gives her a very unusual appearance. The suit itself is made from 3 main sections; A sleeveless white jacket, which sits over a thick white shirt, which tucks into the white slightly loose pants. Her hands are uncovered and she wears a white boot-like footwear. Her eyes are always hidden by a silver visor that appears from the outside not to be transparent from either side.
Inner World: The inner world appears to be on a endless series of rocks, boulders and much larger heaps of stone. The setting is the rocks very slowly revolving around a large blue and green planet, though much like earth, also different enough for it to be noticeably not. Behind them is a sun in the great distance, it constantly glowing it’s golden light. Atleast during spring and summer, as it takes them 1 year to orbit the planet, during the other two seasons, they are in the darkness of the planet’s shadow. Their only light coming from the limitless number of stars behind them. Occasionally one of 3 different moons will pass them, either overtaking them or going the opposite way.
Release Phrase: Illuminate, Raikouhana
Abilities: The ability of Raikouhana it to become a bladeless sword that sears and scorches instead of cuts. As the weighty metal-like material disperses into electricity the weight of the weapon is reduced making it a faster striking weapon than other sword. When the blade of electricity cannot burn through that which it comes into contact with it clashes with it like any other zanpakutou, hissing and even sometimes sparking furiously.
When Upgraded: The useable ability of this weapon is to disperse the beam into the lightning it is composed of, making it able to electrocute anything within a short range of the handle. This effect of the sword is based on the Kido mastery of Akimoto, the striking power and exact range will be relevent to the level of the upgrade.

Type: Destruction Art.
Description: Gathering a tiny bit of reiatsu into the hands, the user will then place their dominant hand forward, palm extended towards the target. Then, placing their non-dominant hand behind it in the form of a cross, the hands will begin to glow with a white light. This light will then push away from the user, toppling whatever is struck by the push and sending it flying backwards.
Incantation: Broken bindings, spirit of domination, rush against the currents, shatter all sins! Hado no Ichi: Sho!

Hadō No. 2: Mizugan (Way of Destruction: Water Orb)
Type: Destruction Art.
Description: Channeling reiatsu around the user's hand, they will then extend their dominant hand forward, allowing the reiatsu to gather moisture from the atmosphere and condense it into a small sphere of water, no larger than six inches in diameter. The ball will then be launched towards the opponent at moderate speeds. Upon impact, the ball will detonate with a strong concussive force, creating a large spray of water as well as knocking back whatever was struck by the force.
Incantation: Essence of Ocean, swiftly gather; then, punish the transgressors! Hado no Ni: Mizugan!

Hadō No. 31: Shakkahō (Way of Destruction No. 31: Shot of Red Fire)
Type: Destruction Art.
Description: The user gathers reiatsu into the palm of their dominant hand, extending their palm forward. The user then places their off hand on their wrist, wrapping their fingers around it. They then gather the reiatsu into a ball of energy floating in front of the palm. The user then releases the ball of red energy forward like a cannon-ball. It will explode on contact with anything, much like a grenade or rocket.
Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado no Sanjuuichi: Shakkahō!

Hadō No. 40: Daisho (Way of Destruction No. 40: Great Push)
Type: Destruction Art
Description: The user gathers reiatsu into the tip of their index finger of their dominant hand, thrusting it forward. Meanwhile, they thrust the index finger of their off-hand perpendicular to the other hand. A great column of force will blast from the dominant finger, similar to Hado no Ichi: Sho, but with enough force to knock a city bus over, compressed into a column with a diameter of about three meters.
Incantation: Winds of change, rush and rise! Ten priests present the signs of their dominion! Blue shivers run down the red back of the beast, shuffle the great mists and disturb the slumber of the soul! Break free the spirit! Hado no Yonjuu: Daisho!

Bakudo
Type: Binding Art.
Description: An ability that is both simplistic and useful, and as such it can commonly be seen in practice. It is especially favoured amongst members of the Fourth Division, who cannot get a patient to stop struggling against treatment. Gathering Reiatsu, the user will speak the incantation, and then condense the energy as a chain of light from the index and middle fingers of the user's dominant hand, which are held together. The chain will then quickly fly towards the opponent, attempting to act as a restraint to prohibit the opponent from moving. Once bound, the chain is capable of being tied to another object to hold the opponent; the user is not required to maintain the connection between the chain and their hand, allowing them to then perform other actions.
Incantation: My will to succeed be the rope that sustains you; let my breath of light be the light to guide you. Bakudo no Yon: Hainawa! [/quote]
Bakudō No. 8: Seki (Way of Binding No. 8: Repulse)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: Condensing the user's reiatsu in front of them, they create a small golden-colored shield of energy. The technique's defensive capability is, unfortunately, highly limited, and even the most powerful of casters will find the ability only capable of blocking Kidō of the first Category. However, a secondary ability exists within the spell as well: opponents why physically strike the shield will be knocked backwards, sending them flying a few feet. It also paralyzes the limb that struck it for one turn.
Incantation: The royal protector, true in heart and mind, know the owner of the crown and pledge loyalty unto him. Bakudō no Hachi: Seki!

Bakudō No. 39: Enkosan (Way of Binding No. 39: Arc Shield)
Type: Binding Art.
Description: Creates a spinning shield of energy in front of the user. Gathering reiatsu within the caster's dominant hand, they will then begin chanting the incantation. Eight strands of light will appear to 'star' out from the hand. When the incantation is complete, the energy will begin to rapidly spin, creating an effective barrier against incoming attacks. This spell has the capability to block all Category One spells, unless there's a great skill division between the two casters, and most spells under the number 49.
Incantation: Six stranded star, silken crescent, begin your graceful whirls amongst the will of the sky, and let your true place as protector begin to shine. Bakudo No Sanjukyuu: Enkosan!
