--Specialties:
- Martial Arts Non-Specialist
- Armed Specialist
- Agility Non-Specialist [5 Sprints]
- Advent Specialist
--Appearance:
Aspel keeps his black hair trimmed short and generally spiked. It contrasts his fair skin and sharp features, but compliments his jagged, darting gray eyes. His build is more muscular than it seems, but still rather thin. Aspel wears a black, sleeveless undershirt which covers his torso beneath his V-neck, sleeveless shirt. The shirt has a large collar, generally kept up, with brown lining and designs. The shirt is likewise lined brown, but otherwise a coal color. A single, black, fingerless glove covers his right hand. Preferring baggy pants to tight ones, Aspel dons coal-colored pants which end at his mid-calf. Lined with red and a bit of yellow, they compliment his shirt well. His shoes are likewise coal-colored and lined with red.

Advent One:
Name: Amaterasu ("That Which Illuminates Heaven")
Level: High
Description:
Amaterasu utilizes the light around Aspel. It has two main functions for attack and defense, both created under the same principle: the manipulation and solidification of light. When the power is activated, the light around Aspel is warped and formed into a solid, full set of armor. The armor is very sturdy, but, being made of light, is also very lightweight, and therefore does not weigh Aspel down. The second part of Amaterasu is far more general--within a thirty foot radius, Aspel can solidify light to be used for offense and defense. The light can only be made into solid objects, and cannot be controlled, yet. The light, when solidified to the utmost hardness of Aspel's ability with Amaterasu, has the consistency of steel. The light, armor and anything else Aspel creates, guards against physical attacks as if steel. Due to being made of reiatsu, it is resistant to reiatsu attacks as well, though those stronger than Aspel can easily break through. The color of the light can also be altered; however, it's default color is gold.
Armor Appearance:
Restrictions:
- Cannot be used in the dark.
- Is considerably weakened when there is only a small amount of light.
- Has a 30 foot radius around Aspel.
- The light can only be made into solid objects, such as a sword or bow, and cannot be freely controlled.
- The light cannot move at the speed of light.
- The light must be solidified and formed physically from his body.
Name: Upgrade #1
Level: Average
Description: This upgrade allows Aspel to control any of the solid objects he creates out of light within a 30 meter radius. The objects must still be created first from his body, but afterwards may be controlled from afar. The use of hands will cause the light to travel faster (as it cannot travel at the speed of light regardless of whether he uses hands or not), but is still able to be controlled without such movement.
Restrictions: Must be Aspel Reinhart.
--History:
Aspel's life wasn't all that unique until his later years. No, there weren't many things that went wrong, save for a few instances. His father worked nearly 12 hours every day, so he wasn't there much, but he was kind and gentle. His mother was assertive and closed minded, but she was there for him as long as he obeyed her rules. And he did. His new sister, 11 years younger, was a sort of refreshment from the norm of his days. As a child, he wasn't very popular--his best friend had even used him for the sole purpose of entertainment. Friends came and went--Aspel didn't change much until his family suddenly took a change for the worse.
Aspel's grandparents died of cancer--his mother's parents--each within a year of each other, of the same cancer. This was only made worse by the death of his uncle. Aspel's mother, who lived far from her family, was wrecked with grief and spent much time out of town, dealing with the remnants of what was. Aspel's father was forced to stay behind to work, and Aspel was caught somewhere in-between--mostly with his mother, forcing an extended absence from school and declining grades. After the funerals and the return home, things seemed to return to normal.
It was as if their next home was cursed. Aspel had just turned fifteen and began to see strange "figures", phenomenons that Aspel wasn't quite sure how to explain. So he never did. After all, explaining the existence of massive creatures that were somehow detectable, yet invisible, seemed crazy. His family took a sort of unexplainable turn as well. Suddenly, it seemed his father was no longer happy. Depression sunk into his father like fangs, and his mother suddenly changed more than anything he had ever seen. Drugs began to cloud her mind, a constant haze of lies and hallucinations slurred her perception of reality. It all seemed normal to her--her sudden affair with an old colleague, the overdose of drugs, the irresponsibility and constant loss of jobs. Aspel was forced to care for his sister--to feed her, to clothe her. Their financial situation plummeted and they were forced to sell their home for a much smaller one--one that couldn't quite fit the four of them.
Then they learned that their previous home wasn't cursed. Aspel's mother only continued to use the drugs which rendered her incapable of functioning--of walking, of talking. The affair continued and suddenly there was talk of divorce. His father slipped into a depression. Aspel was forced to save his father from an attempted suicide as his mother fled from their home, angered and frightened of her husband's sudden rage. The same night, as the red and blue lights fdevioused behind him, Aspel had fled the emptiness of his home, preferring the openness of the stars. Suddenly, Aspel found himself panting--running as fast as he could as dust and debris whirled about him. A not-so-invisible figure was near, and though Aspel tried to flee, he failed and found himself swept up in an unbelievably large hand, with an equally unbelievably strong grip. As Aspel struggled for air, the world suddenly became black.
He awoke on the grass, staring up at the stars. A dream? Perhaps--the stress of his family could induce such things. So the youth began his trek home, but was stopped suddenly by those same red and blue lights. The policemen moved quickly from the car, with a slew of words about a missing child and success. They took him home--he had been missing? Two days, apparently. His mother--and his newly returned father--smothered him with apologies.
Life continued on in the same dreary fashion until, as Aspel had suspected, his mother was found dead. A drug overdose. There really wasn't much change--it wasn't as if his mother had done much. No, there wasn't any change until another Hollow had found the child. Alone again, this time beneath the light of the sun. The situation repeated itself--he was swept up and began to struggle for breath. This time, however, his vision would not fade--his life did not fade, and dwindle as if by a thread. There was a sort of change, and suddenly the light about him began to warp and change, forming a sort of armor about his body. Immediately he could breath, and as he reached out, as if to grab the Hollow, a deadly ray of light followed, striking the Hollow's mask and cracking it. Angered, the Hollow hurled him, and he landed roughly on his back. Standing, he stood gaping at his own hands, but recovered and began to move his hands about, striking at the Hollow with the deadly light.
Aspel stood breathing heavily as his armor dispersed and the Hollow did as well. Making his way home, he was stopped suddenly by a man in black robes, with a katana at his side.
Shinigami? Advents? Hollows?
What?
Too much information. Aspel's reality was suddenly shattered--any logic was gone, out of the window. Still, it explained a lot of what had happened. Soul Society, the Advents and Hollows . . . it made sense in a twisted sort of way. The Advent began his training.
