Frank Lester is about 5’ 9” tall. He’s in shape, but isn’t very muscular in his overall build. His hair isn’t styled much, going down to the top of his neck. It’s straight and flat along his head, brown in color.
For attire, Frank tends to wear a long, white sleeveless hoodie adorned with some accessories and additions to give it a slight gothic appearance, the most notable being a black stitched bat shape over the zipper at the bottom. His pants are long and baggy, also white, and have no really notable accessories. He carries an MP3 player around with him and has the headphones around his neck at all times, though it’s normally not on.

Power Focus: Frank focuses his powers through a long metal armband connected to some steel knuckles on his right arm, nicknamed the Gaunt. The Gaunt covers his right arm entirely, slightly armored but incredibly flexible to offer protection without too much hindrance to his motion. The steel knuckles extend about an inch out and are tipped with spikes. The object does not provide him with a good range in his attacks, but it does allow him to focus on speed and agility to get close to his opposition. The added armor on the band gives him some added protection against enemy attacks, and it can be buffed in defensive ability through use of his reiatsu.

Name: Trigger Pulse
Level: Medium
Description: Trigger pulse is a passive ability that is automatically triggered upon contact between the Gaunt and an object. The Gaunt releases a pulse that adds extra force into even the weakest punches, allowing Frank to further his abilities. The pulse emanates from the point of impact and can cause damage to internal organs if hit hard enough.
Restrictions: Trigger Pulse’s strength is completely dependent upon Frank’s health and stamina. A good amount of exhaustion will reduce Trigger Pulse to very little, while a well-rested Frank can knock a human out with a considerably weak punch.
History: Frank was born in California, and moved to Japan at age twelve. He’s fluent in Japanese after years of study. He lives with his uncle in Karakura because his parents both died in a car accident, his dad having been an alcoholic. Frank attends a Japanese school and has found a group of friends who accept him, though he does have some trouble socializing on occasion due to being ignorant of some aspects of Japanese culture.
At age fifteen, Frank obtained his advent powers after having nearly died. A Shinigami made contact with him during a fight with a hollow. The hollow was eventually removed and the Shinigami fled. Frank saw the whole thing, but the Shinigami fled before he could ask anything. Confused but determined to find out, Frank started putting research into what he saw, tackling books first and then the internet.
Despite all his attempts, he didn’t get anything good until about a month after he first encountered the Shinigami when he found himself in the middle of a battle zone. A small scale hollow outbreak occurred about a block away from Frank’s home, waking him up in the middle of the night. Frank ran to the scene and encountered a lone Shinigami left alive, a weakened hollow towering over him. Frank managed to release his Gaunt and defeated the hollow, but the Shinigami died from bleeding soon after. Frank was able to ask a few question.
Still seeking more knowledge, Frank has made it his goal to learn about and help the Shinigami against the monsters that killed so many people.
