Battle ground is Karakura Park, late evening, nobody else around. Battle is limited to one opponent, level 1, or level 0 if you are brave _______________________________________________________ I strode into the park, the moonlight glinting off the trim on my tunic. I had received an anonymous note under my door, a challenge to fight to the death. I had no idea where it came from, but I was not one to refuse such a challenge. If it was from a hollow I would show it no mercy, and if it was from another entity, perhaps I would attempt to defeat them without killing, for unnecessary bloodshed did not become me. They had not specified a particular area to meet within, so I assumed that by roaming the park we would meet eventually. And so it was that I strode about, passing by a swing set and a sort of playground, as well as lots of trees standing alone in the midst of fields and hills of grass. Keeping my eyes out on both the sky and the area around me, I watched and waited.

||enter. I would enter the park, strolling very calmly where I would set my sights on a Quincy. Instantly, I would place my hand against the hilt of my blade. This man was fit to fight. This man was so damn ugly I felt the urge to fight him. Upon drawing my sword, I would prepare myself to engage my first battle between a Neo-Quincy. Considering I had no bond with the race, I would feel no obligation to let this one go, as I would feel the necessity to insert my sword down his throat.

I saw him approaching from a bit of a distance, and as our eyes met his hand sought the hilt of his blade. This man could be none other than the one who would be my challenger! As he drew his sword my right hand stretched out to the right, tiny dark red particles materializing from thin air and swirling around as it condensed into a 12 foot long whip. I could have created a longer one, but unless this shinigami had already unlocked his shikai, that should be more than enough to defeat him.
I would take the offensive, running forwards towards the man. As I dashed forwards my right arm would cross over the front of my body, still holding the coiled whip. I was nearing his location, now. Suddenly my right hand would arch forwards, my wrist flicking as I allowed the whip to play out. This would be timed perfectly with my arrival in the correct range for attacking. And so the whip would shoot forwards, the tip racing forwards with all speed, and would seek to spear through the middle of my opponent.

The Quincy would began his assault in a straightforward rush fixed upon my location. I would have a few seconds to analyze the given information upon appearance. The very first detail I took notice to would be the fact that his source of weaponry was a whip as it was coiled tightly around his hand. As his sprint began, I would remove Fiinikkusu from her secure location, allowing her to take a breath in the open air. His whip would be shot forth, as it would slide through the air aiming directly toward me. A crack would be heard from a distance, as a Shunpo placed me quite a ways away, directly behind me opponent. The crack of the whip would resonate from afar, after my Zanpakutou's form of attack had been in motion.
The whip itself did not obtain a weak spot, as it could bend, twist its shape and curl to avoid any obstacle, even oneself. However, the hands controlled the whip, and the hands were directed through sight. If one was unable to visualize the opponent, an advantage would prove itself. Considering I had been behind (to the left side) of my foe, his eyes would prove ineffective. With my sword completely drawn, in a locked position between my pair of firmly grasped hands, a forceful pull combined with momentum would reach the Quincy's body in a moments-split-second. A reaction to that of instinct would be the only defensive maneuver to evade such an attack.
With the whip coiled tightly around my opponents hand, and (the whip) being fully extended to reach my previous distance of where he intended to attack (prior to the Shunpo), he would be forced to retract the whip to pull it back through a tug. He also would require to uncoil the whip around his hand to use the opposing end of the whip to attack. All the while, I had been inching away at an attempt to slice slightly above the left side of his hip, where it would come in contact with a kidney, capable of a clean cut through. The time it would take to retract the whip and a form of avoidance would be well over the second that it would take me to reach his side, and therefore, his whip would be nullified by sheer lack of time, and through his blind side. All in all, both ends of his whip were now stale for use, the only sense of avoiding such an attack would be to move from the location, however, my attack was swift, thus, his movements may have likely been executed with too much delay.

As the whip stretched forth, I saw him utilize a fast movement technique, seeming to travel right towards me, but magically aiming precisely enough that he passed on the left side of the weapon. Interesting tactic, but he apparently didn't take into account that he would first have to turn around before attacking. And so I merely took a step forward, yanking my arm backwards to recall the whip as I pivoted on my heels. It was perfectly timed to block his strike, the whip curling around my figure.
His strike would be blocked, glancing off my whip as I pulled it around my body. I would not allow a clash of weapons, but a flick of my whip would push outward in all directions. Should he stay in his current position the rapid expelling of the whip in a circular manner would surely hit him.
EDIT: It's been almost a week with no response, so I am instituting an IIC for this arena battle. Starting at the time of this edit the IIC is 48 hours, and will continue as such for the remainder of this fight. Of course, extraneous circumstances can be allowed for.

Fiinikkusu would glance against the whip as it circled around his body. It was an interesting strategy to say the least. The whip would nearly embrace him, flowing around his body as a form of a shield. The mans skill with the whip as unprecedented, although, I was not intimidated. I had been in multiple predicaments, and this did not seem to equal to a fraction of previous events. The route of escape would be quite simple; a jump backwards. Using a Flash Step would have been an ideal source of evasion, however, having used one prior to this, I found it to be excessive to repeat such tactics. By jumping back, it did not allow for a form of immediate attack, but, a form of defense. I knew intently that the range of the whip was not short, but the jump would be a short step, landing me on my foot to prove its worth in a form of evasion if need be. It would all vary, depending on his form of attack would properly depict my motion of response.
Upon my Zanpakutou glancing off the whip, my reaction would be intuition, as I would jump backwards to defend against any oncoming attacks. This dodge would not serve its entire purpose by solely jumping back, but the necessary strategy would come about depending upon his response. The speed of my opponent was similar to mine. I could infer this quite quickly through the short time of our battle, although, my certainty was not pinpoint. I did not know if my opponents motions had been held back to observe my defense, a form of understanding the opponent better, or if he had already begun going all out. I would soon find out as the battle drew on.
With my blade fully drawn, held tightly in front of me with both hands, it would allow for a multitude of options in regards to the battle. I was prepared to defend against myself quite quickly. With my knees bent, and the soles of my feet dug deep into the earths turf, I would prepare for another quick motion to out maneuver my foe. His attacks were quick, but with the whip extending outwards, I would notice an opportunity that I would attempt to exploit later in the comings of battle. I would have to wait patiently to do so, as the perfect opportunity would present itself, but for now, only time would tell.

Quickly seeing his retreat, I continued to formulate my attack, whirling upon my heels to enhance the speed and momentum of my whip. This along with the flick outward would help the movement of the weapon. Guided by my reiatsu its path would not falter, but would perform as both defense and offense at the same time.
It would continue to curl around my body, wrapping in a manner that could easily be manipulated to deny any assaults, while the tip struck forth in a quick manner to slice across this man's face. It was a straightforward attack, but any assault utilizing a whip is not as it seems...

Honestly, I don't have time for OOC battles right now. We can keep this here as a win for you, however, I may post in the future and keep this going.
