This is going to sound stupid, but I'm new, so.
1. Does a zanpakutou spirit *have* to have a constant form? The concept I'm going with is that the sword's spirit is 'as it says on the box' - its name is Fractal and the spirit prefers to stay in just that form as it hates being limited. It CAN take a solid shape if it really has to interact with its wielder (frex, combat in the spirit's realm, or 'I have taken this form, Katsu-kun, to teach you a lesson about biting off more than you can chew') but it often just floats around its world as a stream of fractal patterns.
The shinigami's a former hacker, so I wanna know
2. Do shini of all the squads get Earth assignments or only 7th? My idea was to place him in the 12th with all the techies (where he'd take a 'white hat' role with occasional dips into gray) , but it'd be nice to have a few adventures on earth.
