It had started just like any other day the Buddhist had off. He'd done any chores needed from him, made sure to keep himself posted on upcomming meetings, paperwork filed, it was all to make sure that there was no duties that required his attention. His focus needed to be on helping those in Soul Society whom were not apart of the upper-class. He had an empty white bag strapped across his shoulders. His destination was the market, he'd need to purchase some supplies. Yes, this was the way of Chikyo Enmei, 8th Division unseated Shinigami.
White cloak swaying with the gentle breeze, hood placed over his crown; he was prepared to make a noble journey. His clearance was easy to obtain as he always checked these things out in advance. The guardians of Seireitei (well his divisions entrance) appreciated his efforts, as well as punctuality. If he proclaimed he'd be passing through at a certain time, then it'd be done. On this fine morning, he'd done just that. His right hand movin from his cloak to wave.
Rukongai wasn't exactly a place people enjoyed hanging out. It was the equivalent of the sub-urbs...except amplified. Perhaps it was better to consider them ghettos. Most Shinigami prefered to travel to the real world instead for their entertainment. Enmei didn't mind traveling to the real world himself, he was just a man of priorities. He first needed to assist those within his reach, before he could assist those on earth. Poor souls whom even in the after life, had still not found the middle path. They were not enlightened by the teachings of Buddha-sensei, thus they'd continue to go through "life" in an undesirable mannor.
"I cannot have this, I must spread the teachings throughout Rukongai. There is a better way for everyone to spend their life. Even if I'm the only Shinigami to continue this work, it must be complete. Her sacrifice, while steeped in earthly ways, served a good purpose. It's a pity I haven't quite found you, I must have been a fool in my previous life. Just barely grasping onto the path. I must remember to seek solitude and meditation later."
Distracted in thoughts, the engima proceeded through th closer districts of Rukongai.

“I’m Hungry.” Came from a room at the end of a long hallway, from the room a corpse like figure seemed to pull crawl his way out, his body covered by a beautifully decorated Happi that extended to the back of his knees with extended sleeves, the black fabric it was made of had dark purple cloud like designs and was clearly something that Shinigami’s attire wouldn’t usually consist of, but he had made sure that he wore the hakama style pants as well as the obi sash, even though he despised it, he continued to wear his blades, each on three sides of the sash (back, left, right, and both wrist) along with his gloves(front right) his mask unfortunately was left to wait for him, as he made his way out of the division head quarters.
With a miserable look, he made his way counting the tiles, and stairs that were lining with his path ( something no sane individual would do if they know anything about this place) His usually lightened purple eyes no longer held their shine causing most female shingami to escape his path, knowing well this new recruit was in no way in the mood for their constant screaming, that would lead him to give a fake smile, but there was one who crossed him.
A shinigami that had went under the gate before him, and the guard that foolishly let the gate go the moment he ducked his head to slide under. “……YOU BASTARD! I’LL KILL YOU, YOU WORTHLESS MONSTROSITY!” Exploded from his mouth, soon followed by a chant to release one of his limited Hado’s, but he was surprised that the monster would pull the gate up to check who would be so crazy to scream at him in such away.
“Thank you for opening the door, you trash.” The Shinigami said calmly with a gentle smile as he started making his way under the gate, stepping into the dirty city, heading straight for the market district he kept his speed nearly the same, being scratched wrong he felt that he should have a bit of a chat with the Shinigami that went before him on how to hold doors. “Oi…Don’t walk away from me.” He said in a whisper which in normal peoples logic the other wouldn’t hear him of course “Stop walking away.” He says in another whisper reaching out his arm to grab at him, but while reaching out the soft chime of the chain mail rings through the crowd.

There may have been troubles at the gate, but it was like ants traversing the ground; a world to its own. There was no concern or even second thought to the gatekeeper. There mutual understanding started and ended with his brief encounter each time. It's not as if they shared a drink with each other, or spoke off-duty. Heading into the crowds of Rukongai, Enmei forced a pleasant smile to guise his pity. These people deserved so much better than this. Treated like a disease, left to crawl and wonder the outside lands, whislt the Shinigami in Seireitei lavished the good life.
"Pathetic, my kinsmen are so ignorant!" A small whisper traversed the winds, its message filtered by the shouts of kids. They were playing with a ball and didn't seem to fit in with those of the first 30 districts. Enmei turned to his right and flashed a friendly wave to them before picking up the pace. He needed to get to the market because children like that needed his help. His actions were swift, his form weaving through the crowds like a figure eight. His footwork was so great that it was done on a subconscious level, his body adjusting to the diagonal with no strain or conscious thought.
"Please make it on time, people are counting on me..." Another whisper in the wind, this time filtered out by the hearty cheers of a group of men. They were better off that those in the higher up districts. Their cheering akin to frequent bar visitors. If the strange Shinigami that pursued him wasn't careful, Chikyo would 'disappear' from his very eyes, lost in the crowds. Well, that may not be entirely possible due to the white garb the young man adorned himself with. Alas, the 'miracle' did indeed occur as the white cloaked shinigami had taken off.
Unless of course, he took the time to look behind him.
"Excuse me, Nakama...what is it you need of me? I don't mean to sound rude but I'm in a hurry."
If he were to take the time to turn around and look at the man, he'd notice the light reflecting off what was actually spectacles. The right side (his left) not transparent in the least. Of note was just how serene the man's reiryoku was, a calming presence that was just surreal. Even with what should have been an intimidating posture, it could only be perceived as serene.Lastly, the tone...it should have been familiar to the Shinigami...would he remember?

Mumei’s eyes seemed to grow more sharper with each time that he called out to the other shinigami even if it had simply been the children or the crowds fault he couldn’t stop, his pace kept up nearly keeping with the shinigami, but as the finally moved into the thickness of the crowd, he could only hear the words of a boy behind him.
“Nakama….” Mumei said softly his hair lifting with the wind, but his Happi stood in place as the rest of his attire was affected. His light eyes drifted to the ground noticing a shadow that stood out, but it didn’t seem to be a very threatening person just from the flow of his aura that in a way sent the hairs up his back with excitement. “Mmm..Could that have been Shunpo?” He asked himself deep within his mind. “Nakama…” Repeated once again as if he was testing out a new word that he never used. “Mmm Chibi, I think the word your looking for is Senpai?” Turning his body slowly he flung the Happi within the air, as his own spirit seemed to be screaming.
“Did you forget how to address those above you?” He asked with a calm look in his eyes, but the sharp eyes, and that grin of his was indeed something that definitely matched a murderer. The flow of his reiatsu seemed to start from his fist, then gradually flowed around the body, almost to match his true mood, a violent aura indeed appeared. “What I wanted to tell you…Baldy, is that you didn’t hold the door for me.” Those eyes continued to look down at the shinigami becoming slightly annoyed by the glare in his glasses. “I can see….My strength will make you cry.” The warrior says softly while reaching his arm into the air extending his palm to block the light from the smaller shinigami’s face. “Mind letting me reel in your world?” He asked in a almost gentle voice
Simply keeping the arm in the air seemed to bring about a disturbance as it seemed like the crowd started to avoid the two, both who barely resembled the shinigami’s that had been running around.

Chikyo's senses were sharp, honed like the finest Katana. With the eyes of the Shinigami growing sharper, it gave rise to the Shinigami's reiatsu. The man had whispered Nakama, much in the same way he attempted to call out to Enmei prior. A gust of wind had come in, ruffling his white cloak. At long last, he'd say something other than Nakama. He addressed Chikyo as...small? He corrected Enmei in how he should address him.
"Ah yes, I see you still carry that pride and menacing aura." Chikyo mused, shadows forming across his face. It served to mask his grin, revealing only a small corner of his lips. He didn't hold the door for him? Perhaps he had been distracted in thought. He recalled that he was so focused on getting out of Seireitei, that he only mildly acknowledged the gatekeeper. Though what amused him was the insults that he dished out. His tone didn't make it seem that he remembered the boy.
Well then, perhaps it was time to reveal himself to his dear Nakama. Allowing his "senpai" to finish his speech, Enmei stepped back and graciously, performing a mock bow. The crowds started to clear, perhaps they could sense that a fight was about to break out? Unfortunately, Enmei sought the middle road; thus there was no immediate fighting for him.
"Ah, I see that you're blinded by my spectacles. One moment..."
He moved his right hand to temporarily move the hood. It swayed the shadows across his face allowing Mumei to briefly view the man. The grin that he displayed was that of someone looking at a long lost friend.
"Senpai...ka? My friend, we graduated together, we are comrades on equal standing. Walk with me, I'll treat you to something since I failed to hold the door for you."
There was no need for further words on Enmei's part, he just simply swayed to the side and walked past the twelfth division Shinigami. His path clearly en route to the Market Place. There wasn't any time to waste and his walk significantly increased in speed. There wouldn't be any hold ups to get to the market place on Enemi's part. He was on a mission today, a personal mission which held more significance to him than the missions he did in the eight division.
"I will help them, no matter what."

Mumei kept that grin that made him famous, as the sound of people whispering among themselves about the two floated in one ear, and clearly out the other his only intention was to stand on the same ground as this chibi that dared to not hold a door for him and then to speak back? It was nothing more at a sign of disrespect… No, no impudence… Even that isn’t the word to express his feelings in the shinigami’s mind he found for this person who called him ‘nakama’ to do such a thing was nothing short of absolute madness.
His gaze turned slowly down at the boy, and almost instantly he felt his blood boil seeing that cheeky grin. “Is…Is this damn Chibi smiling? Does he think I am toying with him? Does he not know who the hell I am!?” Not knowing for sure if this ‘man’ was trying to piss him of f Mumei had taken a quick look at his face as that hood of his went back, still with that damn grin, causing this shinigami to reach his limit.
“Of course you damn Four-eyed chibi how would I be able to see you when your trying to blind me.” He says in a calm cold voice, while his aura seemed to dance around in the crowd like a fire maybe some moths would run straight into him, and make his day, but as things with the shinigami persisted maybe he would calm down.
…..WRONG!… What came next was nothing more than a miracle that Mumei hadn’t cut him down, as the Shinigami went on to speak about how they were comrades and that they graduated at the same time…You know shit that obviously didn’t matter to Mumei at. All. His eyes wandered from left to right keeping a control on the situation around him for he didn’t trust any of these dirty people, and unlike this fool Enmei who was someone to try and save them, he himself hadn’t wanted to spend his own money for food, and with an offer for some free food the male wouldn’t be able to do anything but to tag along, his fist still balled in a fist at his sides hidden by the long sleeves.
“….Treat me to some food, or my strength will make you cry, you hear me you damn Chibi.”

It must have been strange for the crowds. These two Shinigami seemed like they were going to square off, but only one of them had that menancing spiritual pressure. The other's presence was non-existent, the serene feeling left entirely. Did Enmei feel like a chibi in comparison to the behemoth infront of him? Well, he maintained a friendly demeanor, so probably not. Though he did acknowledge the man's requests.
"Hai, Mumei-san."
There wasn't any need for further words to be shared, food was the thought on both men's minds. Though the variation within the subject matter was quite clear. One was looking to feed himself, the other looking to feed the masses. The crowds remained scattered as the two made their journey to the market place, the crowds proceeded to gossip.
"Who are these two, are they Shinigami? They certainly look strange, we better stay away."
Enmei kept his hood up, the glare from his spectacles only present as he looked in the direction of the crowd. His actions weren't meant to be intimidating, but the shadows of his hood and the shine from his glasses made the Buddhist quite intimidating. Which simply added to Mumei's already intimidating presence. Upon approaching the first vendor the obvious gasp, was followed by the trembling in his frame.
"Excuse me shop keep, I'm looking to purchase some goods."
He withdrew a list from his cloak, laying it on the counter. The intimidating gaze never waivering. The Old vendor was so scared he just proceeded to gather everything. This allowed Enmei to move his hood slightly to reveal his friendly smile. Except the smile just made the vendor duck under the counter. Gathering his list and the food, he'd lay down the payment and place it all in his large bag.
"So, what would you like...there's plenty to chose from."

Seemingly irritated the larger shinigami did have a very agitated look, as if he was going to jump into the crowd and try out one of those blades that he carried like trophies and oh so rarely used, the spiritual pressure he was giving off, possibly is what made it seem like he was ready to go head to head or better yet…. Head to chest., which did make the shinigami chuckle a little giving away some of his anger.
As they walked the street it had become apparent that the people were avoiding them, as If they were some kind of walking, talking, man killing machines, or maybe it was that they got a good look at the Chibi, who looked like a mad scientist more than he did.
When they came over to the Vendor he couldn’t help but be annoyed by the way the shop keeper had acted, the way he moved, all just seemed to piss him off, but of course just remembering the way that Enmei called him Shop keep for some reason sent chills up his spine and made him laugh inside for some reason, but why in the world would a Chibi need all that supplies and for what? Was he going to feed Mumei? That would be a good Chibi if that was his plan, the male thought before he realized Enmei just asked him what he want.
In a crazy way this seriously pissed Mumei off considering he thought that the food was him, he quickly noticed a young girl walking ever so slowly carrying a small box to the shop keepers domain, and at the same time a sick smile over came his face, while his had adjusted to place it self on the Chibi’s head. “Oi..Chibi…I want the girl.” He said lowering his head and whispering to him soon followed by his evil eyes glaring at her watching her closely. “Got my back En-chan?”

It was easy to see why this crowd was scared, the unseated twelfth division Shinigami. poured his reiatsu out with killer intent. In stark contrast, Enmei's reiatsu was calm, a serene sensation that counter-balanced the psychopath scientist. Kids would look over to Enmei and smile, he'd just done so much good deeds. Yet they'd see Mumei and...his strength made them cry. It was a similar situation amongst the women as well. The once chinese wonder just captivated the women with his reiatsu, only to see the girls shudder in fright from Mumei's. Of course these were quick observations whilst loading up his bag.
The Shop keep was certainly worried about Mumei. He could see the look he was giving him and Enmei. That strength didn't make the Shop Keep cry, but boy did it make him take his time! It must have felt like ages, food slowly being handed to Enmei, whom placed it in his bag. Once it was all accounted for, Mumei realized that none of it was for him! Despite this, Enmei's offer was placed on the table, how would he accept it?
It was easy to see the irritation in his body langauge. "Just as expected, this man just can't seem to find his Zen. He'll learn soon enough." Enmei mused to himself as the scientist was quiet. The buddhist wasn't entirely certain what was going through that random cerebral of his. Then those spectacles caught sight of a young girl. She appeared to be a little younger than both men, well in terms of age. Enmei certainly appeared around the age of the young girl in terms of appearance.
It was clear what the scientist was after, "Endulging in physical illusions, this man is truly something. Women seem to be the downfall of great men, myself included. Alas, this is his request...." Enmei sized up the situation before Mumei asked if he "had his back". The Buddhist would have sighed, but instead flashed a friendly smile, which simply appeared like a menacing grin due to the shadows of his hood.
"As you wish, Mumei-san."
He then left the Scientist's side, but not before making sure the shop keep had his money accounted for. He came right before the girl's path, his hood being blown off with the wind (in actuality, he allowed such). It revealed the friendly and youthful demeanor. The girl gasped in pleasant surprise. The "Chibi's" swift movements, alowed him to approach her side, whispering something which couldn't be made out by the paranoid scientist.
She simply giggled afterwards, her cheeks blushing as her eyes looked towards Mumei. She gave Enmei a look which could be discerned as "Are you sure?", her feet skidding across the gaia in embarassment. Once more Mumei leaned in to whisper something to her. Her cheeks just went beat red at that point. Then sly like a good gentleman should be, he retrieved the box she was carrying and brought it to the Shop Keep. The girl, though scared because of the man's aura, approached Mumei.
"M-mumei-sama...is it?"
She hesitated before speaking up.
"W-would you like, t-to have a drink with me, in 81st District?"
How would the Scientist react? Should he glance over to the "Chibi", he'd be well out of sight. Assisting the shop keep with something behind his clothed booth.

“I wonder…. To what means can they actually arrest me I wonder…” This young Shinigami thought to himself, as the Chibi had left him to go speak to the woman he found himself reaching around and grabbing onto the handle of that oddly shaped blade, but what could it be used for? It was obviously sharp, but to what extent? These question may have been answered if that bastard hadn’t walked away, actually it may have ended up with the young man being on the floor with a split head
Mumei found his hands tightened into a strong fist, but his reiatsu that was so violent and impure, had seemed to cool itself down and nearly comes to a complete gentle serene feeling, while he himself turned to the old shop keep, his smile seemed to a bit more pleasant … The hell!? Did he just have a complete personality change? Why is he acting like this? “Shopkeeper… Please find me mercury as much as possible I have already seen that my strength has made you cry.” He says to the shop keep, clearly…He’s the same. “Send it all on the Chibi’s tab got it?” He asked politely as possible, which sounded just as dangerous as when he was pissed off.
‘Mumei-sama’ these words echoed in his ears for a while as he tried to match the voice to its owner, but none came to his mind leading him with no choice, but to turn and see the very girl who the Chibi was talking to, and to place on the record he saw their little flirting whisper lovey chat. It surprised him that the Chibi would get her to come over, but he was sure that Enmai must have had the wrong idea.
To hearing his name called he figured he would go into the conversation with innocence to test out whatever may be going on . “Yes love?” He ask softly looking deep into her eyes, his own light purple eyes damn near shined like a wet gem pulled from the ocean and held up in the sun, a smile appeared on his lips while she continued speaking inviting him out for a drink the only thing that went into his mind, was asking if she was serious.
“That sounds great, but is it really alright to go out with someone you just met?” His dark toned arm reached out from the happi and gently took hold of her hair, sliding his hands along truly he had not cared to see her reaction since nothing he was doing was real. “I will (in English) Advent above it all(in Japanese) Will you? Will you be strong enough or has my strength already made you cry?”

The shopkeeper's knees were trembling so loudly, it was clearly evident to anyone remotely close by that he was scared out of his wits. Why? That strange man, the twelfth division shinigami had just called out to him. His request? Mercury! Of course he couldn't help but nod his head rapidly. It was as he said, Mumei's strength made him cry. The funny thing about this Shopkeeper was that he was fairly wealthy in his own right. He operated many different vendors in the safer districts of Rukongai. His clientel were various people with unusual requests.
Mercury was not something requested often, that was more related to forging. He owned a Blacksmith's shop, though he himself wasn't one. He returned inside the shop where the chibi seemed to be assisting him and spoke. Once everything was confirmed, he'd return outside.
"I do have the item you seek, it is at one of my Blacksmith's place. He's located in the 80th district. I've sent a messenger to let them know and to gather it up. I only have a litre's worth though."
He resumed his nervous state, knees chattering and all. The curtains behind him seemed to flutter for a moment.
Meanwhile, the flirtatious maner that Mumei had responded to the girl made her blush all the more. The look in his eyes, it was somewhat confusing. Wasn't he scary just moments ago? It didn't stop her from requesting a drink with him thankfully. "C-chibi-chan said you were a nice guy a-actually. So I think it'll be alright." She flashed a warm smile before her ears perked up to his next statement.
Her eyes darted across his form for but a moment, she then composed herself enough to speak.
"I'll rise above too, so...whenever you're ready..."
She was certain but it took her a moment to get the words just right.
"Ah yes, everything according to plan. I suppose Mumei-san owes me one now."
The thought of a certain chibi but he was no longer in the area. He'd use the girl as a distraction to seperate himself from the strange shinigami. He was on a mission, thus he couldn't spend much more time with him all the same.

Mumei sighed again listening to the man he was already feeling quite annoyed, but the thought of having that precious mercury made up for all of that. Of course it did right? Everything seemed to be going fine, but Mumei still couldn’t trust the female not fully she had spoken with that damn Chibi for far to long, anyone that can stand him for more than 10 seconds is obviously some sort of bad person, but for her to be so cheeky as to claim that she’d advent to the top with him… That was clearly something very interesting, and what would happen afterwards?
Looking away from the female he sighed, looking over at a obaa-san walking by with a small basket of flowers the Shinigami threw on his Sunday’s finest face and walked over to her, his reiatsu almost seemed to come out again giving a very dangerous spiritual pressure…Wait…Can he control that? Throwing on a wicked that wicked smile he reached out and grabbed a few of the flowers and bowed his head slightly looking up at her. “I’ll be taking this okay?” He asked yet did not wait for an answer
Taking the flower over to the woman he threw the flower to her and smirked. “There is a bar in the 81st district, I need to go that way anyway you head there, and I will meet you understand? “ He said ,but once again being the way he is “Hard-boiled” he didn’t wait for an answer just walked away into the crowd as a breeze flew in sending dusk amongst the crowd he just kept on.
