I had spoken little to my cohort midst our travels to the real world, leaving my mind to invade itself only with thoughts regarding our assignment and nothing more. We traveled through the folds of the spirit and real world at lightning speeds, though as my psyche was flooded with more and more complications, I’d feel time slow down around me. As a member of the specialized Second Division, I was to be dispatched to rid Karakura of a certain type of parasitic hollow I’ve encountered before. It seemed a few patrols had failed to apprehend the suspect, and given my previous record, I was due as the next call; once again, it seemed Senpai wanted to test me!
When am I gonna get to do the real stuff…?
I secretly pouted as I dwelled over the apparent simplicity of this whole event, but as the lights of the real world filled my eyes, I’d switch over concentration almost in an instant. Akin to a light switch suddenly receiving power, I’d come alive and commence out descent, leading the way towards the first areas designated by headquarters as probable emergence grounds. It was a ‘boss’ Hollow, roaming alone and only on a certain occasions, while the stragglers ran free in other corners of the world, sucking away at whatever little spiritual energy they could get. Standing atop the giant skyscraper I’d grimace several times over, but this time, I’d spare my partner the silent treatment. As I spoke, I kept my gaze fixated below, a low, stoic tone employed as the words carefully slipped out.
“…right about here is where they said….”
“You know, the sooner we’re done with this, the sooner we can go home…”

The travels back in forth between our world and theirs was practically second nature to me. Being a member of the 7th division, this gate to the 'real' world was regularly traversed by my comrades and myself - in fact, it was the duty of the 7th division captain to run this gate. The specialty of my division was in dispatch and handling sensitive situations that would occasionally arise in the other world. Being a relatively young shinigami, I was but a mere patrolman; it was my duty to keep watch over certain areas of the city and deal with any possible situations. I would quite literally pass through the gate with eyes closed, both my posture and facial features showing my calm demeanor. It would only be when we finally made the transition to the 'real world' that eyes opened and I became attentive. We were a two-man unit sent to take care of some tricky Hollow, although I found it odd they had paired me up with somebody from the 2nd division - yet it mattered not, I was positive he would have the skill necessary if they hand-picked him.
"We should be able to.. sense its energy when it gets near"
My voice was low, calm, but also gave the hint that I was slightly distracted. From atop this mighty structure we indeed had a massive line of sight, however that wouldn't be enough, even if Hollows were typically massive. With great concentration I began to feel all the nearby sources of reiatsu around us, I could literally feel their energy along with my own. The strongest sensation of course came from my partner to my flank, because he was right next to me his reiatsu was the most noticeable. This was currently our best shot at finding the rampant beast, and if this failed I would have to rely on eyesight alone from atop this skyscraper. Amidst my search for new sources of energy, I would again address my comrade,
"I'm not sensing anything.."

Depressed moans of pain echoed across the rows of industrialized Karakura, each cry sadder than the previous, eventually coming together to form of hymn of evil premonition. Like a feline predator I’d jump, head suddenly erect and intent of finding the location of the possible meal. The dark night served as excellent cover for the Garganta ripping through reality a small distance away from us, making it impossible to detect anything initially, but after a few seconds of focus and concentration, the bodies of low-level beasts were the first to come up. Such results were expected when first releasing our reiatsu, as it was natural for more pawns to exist than kings. Now, it was just a matter of cleaning up and getting everything ready for the real battle. My reiatsu flared now, and if this didn’t manage to draw these beast’s attention, nothing would.
“Count your kills, brother – loser’s wallet buys tonight’s drinks!”
Tearing through the side of the building now, I had a single palm outstretched towards the source of an imminent appearance of hollows, their inhumane screams leading me to set-up a swift death before the beast could even process my presence within its deranged psyche. My preemptive strike was independent of whatever my temporary ally had in store, and whether or not he joined was his prerogative – I had assumed a veil of independence for the remainder of the gauntlet, that is, until the granddaddy was revealed. Now, as the round, slow figure hovered by the side of a bright, red ‘Sony’ sign, I would not hesitate to unleash the thunderous reiatsu I had gathered within – the words key for unlocking the lightning came now, ushered in a most silent and discreet tone.

My attempts at sensing the presence of the Hollow seemed to be proving futile. Whether it just wasn't in the are as the report suggested - or if it was something masking its energy - was yet to be determined. Although my sensing abilities were nothing special, I was normally able to detect Hollow and Shinigami alike, especially when I was concentrating as hard as I was. A sigh followed my movements as I lowered to a single knee, crimson strands of hair fell in a mess 'pon my facade as I tilted my gaze downwards to peer off the edge of the building. Throughout the entire trip my left hand had remained firmly grasped on the sheathe that contained my zanpakutou; when dealing with Hollow it was always best to proceed with caution. Thumb was outstretched fully and pushed up against the guard of the sword, ready to push upwards and reveal the blade at a moments notice. It was as if this man had read my mind, seeing as the moment my focus shifted to my weapon I heard the all to familiar sounds of a sword being unsheathed.
"Hn?"
My head cocked upwards; auburn slates fixated on his movements. It become apparent he had forgotten about trying to sense them out, and as if to confirm the suspicions that began to brew, he began speaking to me. If I were your average shinigami, I probably would have freaked out when realizing when he intended to do..or what I thought he intended to do. But luckily for him, I was far from average - in fact, I encouraged this behavior.
"I like the way you think, Second Division man.."
My tone shifted from its previously calm, bored sounding tune. Excitement had grown within, and it was easily detected in both tone and demeanor as I rose back to my full height. My attempts to track them down would cease - after all, why worry about finding them when they could find you? With little effort the thumb of my left hand pushed against the golden guard of my blade. The few inches of exposed blade reflected the moonlight brilliantly, and whenever needed I would unleash my zanpakutou and bring death 'pon any Hollow that got in our path. My reiatsu began to flare, which was the opposite of what it had been like when we first arrived.I would be incredibly easy to detect at this point, and to be frank, I didn't care.
"My money says this works better.."

A faint gust of wind shot across Karakura town. The breeze was oddly enough the only noise I was able to hear, which was kind of spooky when you considered that we were amongst a large city bustling with people. The night was eerily still - as if anticipating the chaos to come. But the silence would be broken, by perhaps one of the most terrifying noises a shinigami could hear; the cries of a Hollow horde. Their numbers sounded great, and I couldn't blame them. Two shinigami had flared their reiatsu to the point where it would be hard not to notice, and no Hollow could resist the taste of a Shinigami. It was safe to say we had a fight on our hands - and to think, we were only dealing with the pawns to start off - the big 'boss' Hollow would sure as hell put up a harder fight, but I was confident in our ability to handle it. I barely knew this man, but I was confident in his ability. His spiritual pressure matched my own, so I saw no reason not to be.
"In that case, I hope you brought enough!"
I called back to my comrade in an excited tone, simultaneously wrapping my hand around the hilt of my zanpakutou. In a single, graceful motion, my weapon was unleashed upon the world. With a reverse grip I had revealed my weapon; its blade glimmering beautifully in the light. Although at this distance, my blade would not be the tool used to bring their destruction. My knowledge of Hado was amongst the largest of low-leveled shinigami like myself, and I planned to put it to use before they had any chance to close in on our position. Crimson locks of hair shifted abruptly as my body spun to face the oncoming threat, immediately right arm was outstretched, my index finger along with it. My reitasu peaked sharply as the energy flowed through my body, all that was needed was the incantation to bring this technique to fruition.
"Storm, powerful, demanding; gives wings to your essence and deliver your forbidden judgment.."
My fingertip had glowed blue as I spoke the words, and with incredible speed and grace I had traced my finger in the air before me. Each movement left streaks of electrical energy in the air; each stroke of my finger further defining their shape until they became an army of electrical ravens. These birds were purposely made larger than the norm - as to pack a much more potent electrical surge. They remained motionless in the air before me; awaiting their master's call.
"Hado no Hachi: Eiei Arashi!"
My army of ravens would surge forth. Each one aiming to collide with the incoming Hollow; their gaping maws aiming to bite into their monstrous bodies. The massive surges of lightning would be enough to paralyze - if not kill - the beasts on contact, their large numbers only made this a more formidable kido. They would move so quickly they appeared to be blue streaks through the night sky; weaving through any obstacles needed to hit their prey.
Hadō No. 8: Eiei Arashi (Way of Destruction: Thunderstorm Ravens) Type: Destruction Art. Description: As the user begins the incantation, a speck of blue light will appear upon their index finger. Tracing this light in the shape of a raven, the user will continue to chant the spell. As the user finishes the incantation, they will have traced a number of small raven forms within the air, which are illuminated with the same blue light. After the incantation is finished, the user will call out the name of the spell, activating it. Each drawn raven will burst into life with a potent electrical current. These ravens will then dart quickly towards the opponent, attempting to strike them. Depending upon the number of ravens that have been drawn, the user can create a warning shot with no harm with a singular raven, to an incredibly damaging attack with a swarm of electrical ravens. The average drawn raven will be no larger than an inch in height or width, although larger ravens can be drawn to create a more powerful attack, at the expense of additional energy. Incantation: Storm, powerful, demanding; gives wings to your essence and deliver your forbidden judgment. Hado no Hachi: Eiei Arashi! Restrictions: Must have knowledge of Kosharashi.

The flight of blue ravens above me would signal the commencement in battle, the aerial chirping birds crying their victim’s demise as they descended from their perch and into the darkness. It was most likely that the first wave of haunted beasts took note of our attack via the birds, but that did not mean they were keen as to where I’d be right that moment. Reiatsu detection or not, I’d make my shift at the last minute, using the side of the one building I ran on as a springboard for reaching the one on the other side. My legs cramped tightly as I appeared to suddenly halt, no longer moving at blinding speeds. Instead, kneeling horizontally, the accumulated momentum would seemingly unpause, exploding the concrete as my figure shot through the sky at high speeds.
“...Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man; Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws…”
My voice was deep and commanding, echoing across the concrete jungle as I twisted mid-air and reached my target. Ending my movement, cold steel acquired temporary light under the face of a quickly appearing half-moon, reflecting onto the creatures bellow a quick preview of their maker moments before their existence was scheduled to be ended. The heels of my feet now aimed to absorb my landing, and with my kneeling posture retained I crushed into the concrete below, my extended hand still aiming at the location of the Hollow’s inception. Now, as I took a deep breath, a pause in the dispersal of my energy was taken, my mind calm and blank and I took one last moment to acknowledge myself. I was standing toe to toe with evil and death, and if there was any chance I’d cross this mighty chasm, I for once must become like the beast.
“Hado no Sanjuusan – Sōōōōōōōōkatsui!””
Within me a most sinister amount of reiatsu had been accumulated thus far, initially used to lure these most foul and carnivorous beasts, but now to fuel a most lethal and spreading attack. Blue flame came forth from my extended appendage, increasing in size and power as it was expelled, my ample spiritual energy steadily feeding into the ferocity of the strike. My new position allowed me to be almost directly over the corner of the building in which the first wave of Hollow came forth, while my real-world counterpart lie where we initially began our search, dispensing justice from above and in front. It would matter not whether they heard the chant or saw my movement, for the inevitable came upon them far faster than any single thought could process itself within their limited psyche. It was blue . It was ample. The dominant hand will crackle with blue energy before releasing a large, flame-like burst of reiatsu from that spreads out in a wide cone fashion, dealing harsh burns to whatever is struck by the reiatsu. My creations burst forth with the utmost obedience. The ravens were composed of powerful electric reiatsu, and with the mass number of them that I had etched into the sky, death was sure to be brought to the weaker of the Hollow approaching. Those of a higher caliber would likely find themselves in pain, and unable to function properly - if they could move at all. Whereas I remained and battled from above, my ally had taken it upon himself to literally leap off of the skyscraper to get closer, I could only chuckle in amusement. He was definitely daring, and seemed to be in the midst of channeling an attack to use against our enemies - curiously, I took the moment to observe whilst focusing my reiatsu in preparation once more. A magnificent blue flame literally burst from his hand; engulfing the beasts without mercy, effectively charring them beyond the point of recovery. Any hollow caught within its grasp would surely be dead, lest they were more powerful than their rather basic friends. We were both quickly tallying up kills, although due to the nature of our attacks it would be hard to determine who had more at this point.
"White chariot!"
Left appendage was thrust down as my zanpakutou was temporarily stuck into the roof. The now empty hand would rest across the wrist of my right hand, which now held out index and middle finger. Reitasu continuously flowed to the tips of my fingers, and without hesitation the incantation continued as I again planned to rain death from above. This attack would work on a much smaller scale, however the result would still be the same; death to the beasts and anything near them.
"..Blue soldiers, rustled leaves, thirteen black clouds, unleash the sky!"
"Hado no Yon: Byakurai!"
In a sudden blast of energy, a massive bolt of lightning rocketed straight from my fingers. It was amazingly bright, and moved just as fast as you would expect lightning to. The bolt was thin, but it was incredibly long as it continually extended from its point of origin and aimed to puncture through whatever got in its path. My aim was for it to go straight through the face of a Hollow down below, although with the angle I had positioned the blast it would be capable of continuing through the one beast, and then punch its way through the rest. The penetrating power of this Hado presented the chance to rack up multiple kills in one go, although the thin beam didn't exactly guarantee death. My sword would be quickly returned to my hand, and leaning over the edge I would prepare my descent, although I would await any actions of my comrade, lest I wish to leap in the way of an attack.
[Quick post. D8]
Hadō No. 4: Byakurai (Way of Destruction No. 4: White Lightning) Type: Destruction Art. Description: The user gathers a tiny amount of reiatsu to the fingertip of their dominant index finger, extending it outward along with the middle finger. The other fingers are folded into the palm. The user then lays the palm of their off hand face-down on the wrist of the dominant hand. The fingertip will swell with blue-white energy before exploding forward in a narrow, piercing beam of white lightning-like reiatsu, capable of punching holes through opponents. Blue light would invade the darkness as I descended from the heavens, my weapon becoming one with my frame as it glistened in the night sky. My judgment descended almost as quickly as my fall, and without any further hesitation, the focal point of energy at my fingers finally sought release. The smell of burnt, alien flesh invaded my nostrils as the precipice of darkness whose mouth I once carelessly dove into was revealed, all consequences of the blue flames that I had just short forth. Though I thoroughly enjoyed watching my victim’s writhe in pain over my nefarious doings, the falling prey that ashed away were only one of many; unless I intended on supporting that man’s alcoholism, it was time to step up my execution of death.
Tch…command never said these many these grunts would be around!!!
I faced the grim looking situation with a most stoic expression, my muscles loose as I acrobatically maneuvered the speedy downwards descent, using the building below as an impact absorber for each time I rebounded. The result was me appearing before a crowd of Gilian, my blades to their back as they marched aimlessly chanting our deaths. I was without remorse nor announcement, moving in to their backs and slicing neatly across their masks. My cuts began behind what would be their ear, piercing the bone and slicing three quarters of it before the tip left the monster’s essence. Most died instantly, and those that struggled to live, a second steel jab to their guts did the trick. I was murderous with my approach, and as my killing spree ended, I would offset my fall atop the carcass of a fresh fiend I had just recently cut down.
“White chariot…? Yes – yes indeed!”
Seeing my partner’s blast decimate through such a row of fiends granted me a most devious idea, and as my weight shifted down and back up, thus ending my kneel, I would extended my hand one more time. A few words would escape my mouth, and once the base of the dead hollow no longer existed due to its essence forever disintegrating, I would easily Shunpo [1/8] across the field of dying Hollows, bouncing off the ones available in order to advance to a more livelier course of targets. And surely as I turned around the building’s corner, several more large beasts appeared, conglomerated close by as they sought conflict. Tch...easy targets! For effect, the following blast would be charged a bit extra, set to shot off in a delayed pattern for the mere sake of maximum carnage – it was time to kick ass and chew bubble gum.
“White chariot – Blue soldiers, rustled leaves, thirteen black clouds, unleash the sky…”

The bolt emerged from the tips of my fingers with vicious intent; soon finding its home as it pierced through the torsos of multiple Hollows; effectively destroying them where they would soon dissipate entirely as their souls were either purified or sent to hell. I was bringing justice upon these monsters without so much as moving from my original position, such was testament to my prowess within the arts of kido - and to think, I was only getting started. I had one last trick I wished to utilize before I moved in to make things a lot more personal. This kido would serve two purposes - first and foremost, it was an incredible vast and devastating hado, and I was more than confident that it would dispatch a huge number of the horde that were mindlessly closing in on us. And secondly, it would show my comrade the sheer destruction I was capable of raining upon them; hopefully gaining his trust and confidence in the process. Oh, and winning the contest would also be nice - paying for the drinks would be a bitch, considering how hard I was working for this!
"You'd better get out of the way!"
My voice was loud; it had to be. I yelled from the top of the building, my voice bouncing and echoing off the massive buildings in the area, allowing it to reach his ears I'm sure. From the looks of it up here, and the fact he was chanting the words I had previously, it was obvious he was going to perform a kido. The electrical energy would be powering itself at the tip of his fingers as it had for me previously, and with him fixated in this position I could safely perform my hado without risking him getting caught in its wide area of effect. The hado naturally covered a large area, but with the factor that I was firing them from the top of a building, they were naturally going to spread out even farther, this was both a good thing and a bad thing, but mostly good. As I had moments before, my zanpakutou was thrust down so it would stick into the roof just enough to hold it upright, thus freeing my hand. Without hesitation, my now free left hand was brought close to my chest, almost as if shielding my heart - my right hand however was now surging with energy; ready to rain death from the heavens.
"Crickets achirp, red signs of madness, violet rope, emptiness declares the priest a sinner! The tears of the azure demon call ten thousand warriors! Bring forth the nightmare and break apart the sky!"
This incantation was all too appropriate. I had very well intended to break down the sky and shower the Hollow with death itself. I would quite literally bring an army of doom upon them, and to be frank they didn't stand a damn chance. Right appendage swept in front of me at a downward angle as I peered off the edge. Behind my arm would trail ghostly blue streaks, and then all at once they formed into the shape of long blades. There were hundreds of these weapons before me, each sword was composed of pure energy and was capable of puncturing with the same strength. Auburn eyes stared at the beasts with violent intent, and with a smirk overcoming my facial expression, I would utter the final words necessary to sending these creatures to the depths of hell.
"Hado no Gojuuichi: Chikenhi!"

All at once the blades will solidify and shoot forward in an arc of a thousand stabbing blades of blue energy, each like a flying sword. There were three of them, all lined up neatly in a tight row, their teeth silent and hidden in the dark. But as a series of reiatsu inspired blasts left our hands and into the hides of the fiends, their intentions were quickly exposed. They had not quite bothered with me yet as Sachi’s most recent exploitation left them furious and in quick need of vengeance; this would be where I stepped in. Once I felt the energy accumulated at my hands was of the appropriate amount and nature, I would shift towards the next Hollow over, my previous stand dying in a sea of flames I had shot not too long ago. I would take note, as my figure glided across bodies and over the large precipice beneath me that would eventually lead to a forced encounter with the pavement, that I had run out of room to advance; after this strike, it’d most likely be wise to relocate into new battlegrounds.
“Hado no Yon – BYAKURAI!!!”
The cry came bold and boisterously, bellowed with a deep ferocity that was characteristic of my heated, battle-inspired mood. Fired just as I landed atop my final hollow, the blast was somewhat enlarged, deep blue in nature and forever penetrating. Each of their skulls were pierced, their fabled Hollow Masks removed as soon as the blast punctured their hides. A cry of pain came from their mouths as their large frames slowly plummeted into the darkness of Karakura, but I would waste no time in mourning their loss. My partner had prepared a most insidious blast, and while my lightning laser managed to dispatch a trio of fiends, his Category Two spell would most likely wipe out the rest of this first incoming batch. It was monstrous.
His power is impressive…
I’d save my admiration for another time, as the shower of blades was only second away from piercing my frame. Using the current hollow I stood on as a spring board, I knelt down and tensed all the muscles within my lower leg, pausing for a moment to gather myself before exploding off and into the apparent nothingness. However, my attempts were no where near suicidal, instead merely wanting to nosedive headfirst into the nearest window. Like many of this area, the building I chose to crash into was of the corporate nature, my body entering the darkness of what appeared to be an abandoned office. I crashed loudly but with style, landing and striking a post despite the shattered glass and high momentum carried into the landing. Looking quickly left and right to make sure no one had witnessed this brief interlude, I paused a moment more for my surveillance, and when no one was spotted, I approached the edge of the window.
Whenever the hail of Kido was over, it’d be my turn.

Our onslaught of kido proved far to great for these simple-minded beats. They couldn't get anywhere near us unless we allowed them to. It was easy to see that both myself and my comrade commanded hado with great ease and power, so much so that by the time my last attack had finished we had wiped out the entire first 'wave' of the horde that was composed of ridiculous amounts of Hollow. Together, me him had taken on a force that would normally require a whole squad of shinigami to deal with - it filled me with excitement, never in my life had I gotten the opportunity to do something like this. Hell, I had only been out of the academy for little over a year, and here I was already mowing down hordes of Hollow as if I was a seated shinigami!
Time to get more personal with these bastards, I can't afford to be wasting so much energy on these grunts!
My sword was once more brought into my grasp. The smooth fabric that wrapped the hilt fit into my hands perfectly, like it was molded for my hands alone. The long, shimmering zanpakutou was held to my flank, and with a rather sudden step forward I had actually walked off of the skyscraper. But I was not falling down recklessly, far from it. I was literally running down the side of the building, rapidly closing the distance between myself and my ally. My legs pumped furiously, and hanging to my right side the edge of my blade slid across the windows as we moved; leaving fine slices into the glasses without cracking or breaking it. I would continue this action was several seconds, gravity and my speed combined allowing me the means to scale down this building in such a short period of time. It would be when I was only a couple of stories from the ground that my legs would stop abruptly; knees bending giving the appearance I was crouching on its surface. My arms came from my side with great strength, and with a stab downwards my blade was shoved into the frame dividing two windows.
This better work!
The momentum carried my forward, literally flipping my body forward as I hung onto the hilt of my blade for dear life. Although the momentum continued to through my forwards, it was due to the fact I was holding my blade that I would be quickly flung towards the building 'pon completing the initial front-flip. My body would smash straight through the window, and as I entered the office I would tug on my sword; releasing it from the building. I landed on my feet and somehow managed not to cut myself as I slammed through the window, so overall this worked out pretty well! My head shook side to side roughly as I attempted to get the shards of broken glass out of my hair, and after I had done just that I stepped to the edge of the window. I remained cautious for any movements, and once more I focused on sensing all the reiatsu in the area around us.
"How many of his friends do we gotta kill before he shows up!?"
I screamed out the window. Simultaneously talking to my ally and myself. [/blockquote]

From the edge of darkness I would witness evil in its truest form, my seventh division counterpart appearing to move in slow motion as his spiritual fury dispatched the last of the remaining lackeys. The effect was beautiful, the fired off Hado rippling through the night sky, ever so softly progressing forward as it silently chanted its target’s death. Mouth agape and wonder soaring, I would clutch Raijin excitedly, slashing out at a nearby table until it was shreds. His downward rush was an impressive and quick, and after the bodies of the Hollow that he fired upon took their hits, their essence would soon be nothing more. Like me he’d enter the office of an adjacent building, and once stable, I’d give him a single approving nod; he had already earned my respect.
“I have no idea how these J-Birds think! But hey, you can call G”
“It stands for Goomoonryong – don’t ever let that name out…”
A second smile was shot back, though this time there would be no more time for peace. It came as the two were conversing across the expanse, and although they tried hard to seek out any higher powers, they’d simple be unable to sense the strength of this beast. It floated across the darkness like a caterpillar, slowly hovering and dominating. Twenty individual dark matters linked together comprised the beast, with a single head and tail at each end. From each ball come seemingly spawned minor Hollows, minor though many and thus annoying. Destroying the dark balls that make its body is the only way to stop it. Unfortunately, to the two Shinigami, it’d be barely visible. I tried to watch as the scream tore through the sky, but before I knew it, the side of the building from which I stood was suddenly caving in, an appearance force ripping through the side and at me.
I was done for.
Ok, for kicks, I’m gonna Avalon the Boss, Sach. Just imagine a huge, dark caterpillar floating around and laying waste, while spawning little fuckers from its balls. We gotta kill ‘em and break those balls!
Rank 5 Boss HP [500%] - Dark Joint Balls – 20/20
- Head – 100%
- Tail – 50%
Hollows Spawned – 0 [preparing!] [/blockquote]

I shifted my zanpakutou restlessly in my grasp. Sitting here in the darkness, waiting for this apparent high-level Hollow was making me simultaneously nervous and excited. This whole 'calm before the storm' crap was really unnerving, and I wondered if my ally was feeling this as well. Much to my approval he had broke the silence by answering my question, and even going to far as to actually introduce himself - it would be much better to know each other by their real names. Real-World Man and Second Division Man were a bit of a mouthful, aye? I turned to face the direction my my comrade who introduced himself as 'G', it seemed he didn't like his full name being used and/or known, and I would respect his wishes.
"Hah, very well, G. You can call me Rei - it stands for Reizo!"
And then it would hit. Amidst our conversation the massive beast had entered the area without us so much as even feeling a hint of its reiatsu. The ability to shield its power from detection was testament to its strength, seeing as I myself wasn't capable of such control over my reiatsu. Without warning the building in which my partner was within would be struck, and instantly I felt my heart drop into my stomach. We had been caught off-guard, and from the looks of it the building had been struck hard, that son of a bitch had got him, or so I had come to the assumption. In the dark of the night it was hard to make out what exactly it was, but that wasn't going to hesitate me in the slightest, not one damn bit.
"Son of a bitch!"
My voice was loud and filled with anger. With reckless abandon I had literally dived through the window which separated me and whatever the hell that thing was. I intended to get up close and personal with that Hollow piece of scum, whether I hurt myself in the process or not. My sheer speed - combined with a mighty push of my legs - had allowed me to rocket out of the office I had been in only moments before; my new destination being the creature that had attacked my ally. My zanpakuto was held within both of my hands, and with a down-ward stab I would aim to puncture whatever it was all the way up to my hilt - and I would be sure to twist it afterwards.
Whatever it was, it wasn't going to get away with this. [Sorry about the really late reply. In addition to losing my internet for a bit I had major writers block, even now it's not completely gone. D8]
