6:4 – That From Which Thunder Is Born
Rika Takuya strolled the streets of Karakura Town quietly, looking around the moonlit darkness. It was quiet as the grave, and just as still. There was little motion, sight, or sound beyond that of the tired shuffling of the last stragglers in the city trying to get to bed. It was late, too late even for the party-goers, and the Shinigami was the only being awake in this night. He was patrolling the streets, protecting the oblivious human race from monsters that they didn't even know existed. Without his kind, the entirety of the world would fall victim to the Hollows in a matter of years. It was no exaggeration. The number of Hollow attacks per day was staggering, enough to exterminate a town overnight without Shinigami to protect it. Through it all, the humans didn't even know it.
Or perhaps that wasn't true. Some of them were aware of the creatures that walked amongst them. Those that did, however, were quite ungrateful. They expected some sort of special treatment, as though their scant spiritual pressure made them some sort of match for a God of Death. They were mortals, and he was an immortal, as close as one ever came to being one. He thought back to the last human- no, not a human, he reminded himself. A hollow, or well on the way to degenerating into one. His soul had been tainted entirely by it. He had offered the boy a way out, but he had insisted on using his powers. Foolish, but predictable. He could not be made to understand that every time he tapped into the sickening reiatsu that infected his soul, he invited more of that corruption to take hold.
No, he had to be made to understand the folly of his arrogance. Takuya, though it was probably an unwise decision, had spared his life, breaking him rather than killing him. In retrospect, he should have purified him and sent him on his way to soul society, but that was not to be. Takuya closed his eyes, reopening them a second later. A flicker of a much paler blue than normal passed through them. He sighed. He didn't like to harm souls that seemed so human, but the taint of the Hollow could not be allowed to spread. He would stop it with his own hands if he had to, one soul at a time...

From the darkened abyss that could be called ‘night’ stretched a series of black veins. As if corrupting and infecting what little moonlight remained, they would continue extending until engulfing a large segment of the skies, forming nothing less than a crack in the very fabric of time; Garganta. Its murky depths would reveal a pair of boney white fingers, clutching onto the portals jagged side as they attempted to liberate the monster that lied within.
Peering through the shadows with his saucer like eyes, the creature would free himself from his cage and descend onto the desolate streets of the town square, demolishing several cars upon doing so. The creature in question had now revealed himself as an immense black pillar, shrouded in what could be made out as a black robe. With no obvious signs as to where his limbs began and ended, the titans only notable features would be his demonic white mask which appeared to be a helmet over all else. Easily towering above the buildings which surrounded the area, the giant gazed emptily toward the distance, attempting to gain a better understanding of his surroundings. Whilst doing so, his eyes would dart rapidly from side to side as if desperately trying to locate that which had drawn him to this place. Showing no signs of success, the Gillian sloppily began moving forwards as if half asleep, showing little to no disregard for what he crushed under each step that sent quakes underneath the very earth.

The sky itself was breaking apart. Like so much flimsy paper, cracks appeared in the night sky, pulled apart by fingers of sharp, ominous bone. Thick spiritual presence flowed out of the tear, flooding out of the dark passageway as something massive began to pull itself through the way. The reiatsu was dark and distorted; it bore the distinctive chaotic stench of a Hollow. Takuya stepped forward, racing invisibly up the side of an office building and landing smoothly on it's roof, his eyes narrowing as they focused on the darkness that was seething through the gap.
This... he thought in the briefest moments of awe, this is Garganta! The shivering maelstrom pulsed, revealing a creature as taller than the building Takuya stood astride. He felt it's power wash over him. This was no mere Hollow... This was a Menos Grande, one of the Gillians. Supposedly the weakest of the Menos, but that was small comfort when one discusses a group of creatures whose strongest members are superior to even the Captains of the Gotei Thirteen. He laid a hand on the sheath of Fuyu no Tsuki, readying himself for what was next. There was no mercy for the beasts that ravaged this world. Not when they sought the souls of innocents.
“Hado no Sanjuusan.” He said quietly, placing his right hand into his shoulder and pointing his left hand towards the target. “Sokatsui.” A wide burst of burning blue-white reiatsu would explode from his fingers, shooting out to impact the sickening creature in the face. It was far from lethal, but the fire-like energy was surely painful. There was no point in words, with a Hollow. There was little point in discussion with an eater of souls. He would cleanse it from existence, or at the very least drive it back into Hueco Mundo. As his spell flew towards the creature's face, he would hold back, remaining on the roof of the building, his right hand backwards on the hilt of his zanpaktou. He awaited to see what kind of effect it would have on the beast, and how it would respond...

“Hmm…?” Halting to a stop, the Gillian’s body would tilt forward as the sheer momentum caused by its sudden action proved to be too great to overcome, despite what little action he had taken to resist. Clearly fascinated by something, the giant adjusted his attention to a building not more than 15 meters away from himself. The object of interest, or rather person seemed to have situated himself above the damp and craggy rooftop.
Upon a closer inspection the figure in question appeared to be a male, though his demeanor seemed to suggest that he was a shinigami over all else. Despite the man’s almost miniscule size, the thick reiatsu he was oozing clearly proved his worth as a meal to say the very least. Slamming his hand into a nearby building, the titan would scoop out its insides and fling the rubble onto the incoming attack, causing the spray of volatile flames to explode prematurely, long before reaching their intended target.
“That was strange.” Ezequiel stated. The shinigami he had faced over the years had built upon his knowledge of kido, allowing the monster to act accordingly upon hearing distinct and key words. However this man had used such as power without the need of chanting, an act the creature had previously thought to have been a necessity. To be fair however the foes of the titans past could hardly hold the strong presence that surrounded the lone man upon the empty roof. “Who knew vermin could be so interesting.” Yelled the Gillian as he chucked away. A grin slowly carving itself onto his pure white mask as he did so.

Takuya grit his teeth. So, the beast had some power to it. It had immense physical strength, to be able to swipe away part of a building and fling it into the path of his destruction spell spoke of quite a fair amount of power, enough to make this a battle worth focusing his attention on. The beast was powerful, that much was for certain. It had good reaction times as well, to be able to strike out like that at him. He narrowed his eyes, gathering energy around him and letting a little more of his reiatsu spill out. It seemed like this creature would take more than such a simple spell to destroy.
“Vermin?” Takuya said calmly, responding to the booming echo that carried from the mouth of the great beast. “Nonsense. When the prey calls the hunter vermin, it can only be envy or arrogance.” This creature seemed to have some kind of knowledge of how Kido operated, to be able to respond so quickly to a spell with incantation bypass. Or perhaps it just had fast reflexes. The beast was perhaps fifteen meters away, plenty of distance for it to respond to his attacks. He stepped forward, walking closer to the sickening precipice that was the edge of the building. He wouldn't want to fall that horrific distance. He held out his hand, index and middle finger coming together.
“Bakudo no Yon.” He said quietly, thrusting the fingers forward. A chain of crackling light wrapped around them. “Hainawa.” The burst of light exploded from his fingers, flying forward and attempting to wrap around the Hollow's bulbous nose. He would, if successful, jerk downwards on the chain, hopefully throwing off the creature's center of balance and causing it to topple over. At the same time, he would smoothly draw his sword with his left hand, holding the katana at the ready, waiting for whatever came next...

“Arrogance?” The beast questioned. A frenzy of silhouettes at this point had just revealed themselves within the building he had just abruptly torn a large chunk out of. Clearly dazed and confused by the event which had just occurred, the swarm of mortals broke out into panic, their tiny screams resonating into the giants eardrums like music. Clearly more than pleased with his handy work, the Gillian shifted his attention back to the shinigami who at this point needed to learn a lesson in the hierarchy of this world.
“Upon this concrete jungle there are no hunters or prey, only food for we hollows.” He stated, his words clearly hinting at his long and arduous journey toward the path of a demon. It had been many moons since the hollow in question had been given this form, his mind ever since slowly diving onto the depths of corruption. By now what little fragments of his soul that remained had been purged and tainted, leaving behind nothing more than a blood thirsty shell and an intellect capable of driving it forwards.
Some may call this a meaningless existence; however for a creature such as Ezequiel, striving for survival is all that now mattered to him. Feeling that he may have allowed his mind to drift, a swift shrug soon brought the Gillian back to reality. Determined not to allow his life, whether worthless or otherwise to fade, the titan would meet his targets challenge head on. Upon the harsh release of light, Ezequiel would grab the yellowish chain of energy as it shot itself toward him. With little time for the man to react, the Gillian would pull the chain upward, aiming to drag the shinigami alongside it before slamming him onto the very same building he had sought refuge upon.

“Feh.” Takuya said, listening as the beast responded to his call. It's voice was powerful, blasting over the rooftops. There was no preventing this, no isolating this incident. It was now a full-scale Hollow attack. He could not allow it to continue to terrorize the humans around him. He could hear the multitude of ripping souls beneath the soul of the Gillian, a thousand Hollows congregating and consuming one another, with a single power surviving the endless cycle of death and rebirth. It was an unimaginable existence. Takuya narrowed cerulean eyes at the beast. “That in itself is the height of arrogance.”
He swore as the beast grabbed hold of his Bakudo. It was swifter than he thought. With a quick jerk of his hand, he dispersed the spell, preventing it from pulling him more than a few meters forward before the connection was broken. He was cast of the building, but simply gathered his reiatsu instinctively, stepping unto the air as though it was as solid as the ground beneath his feet. The beast, it seemed, would not respond to anything but violence. He could hear the rage in it. He was going to have to respond in kind, having regained his footing in mid-air, about ten meters away from the beast. With a flicker of incredible motion [1.14], he would find himself standing on the air, level with the beast's chin, twenty meters distant from it.
“Tatte,” He murmured calmly, holding his sword out before him, “Fuyu no Tsuki.” The blade shattered, disappearing into nothingness as the hilt remolded in his hand. He gripped it lightly, but firmly, with the assuredness of a master swordsman. In the place of the steel blade, reiatsu blossomed. Where there was darkness, light appeared. Like a beam of light, pure reishi gathered together, forming a flowing blade of pale blue-white that extended down from the hilt. He held it in front of him, the magnificent sword glistening in the moonlight. She was his. She was ready. She would never be defeated. Takuya hefted the weapon, pointing it slightly above the beast's head.
“Ichi no Kata.” The blade swung down. “Mizore.” As the hurtling blade of light moved downward, it would suddenly shoot forward, extending thirty meters, easily elapsing and surpassing the distance the beast was away from him, moving with speeds only a true master of evasion could avoid. It would rip downwards, slashing with incredible strength. There was little defending against an attack of such high strength. [1.22] Should it be successful, it would cut cleanly through the Gillian's shoulder, detaching it's arm from it's body, sending the appendage spiraling away. The blade would then retract back to it's original length, gripped in Takuya's hand.
This battle had only just begun.

The shackles of hunger constrained each and every one of the masked demons, however Ezequiel only sought to reject such unwillful acts. Unable to admit to the defect of his existence, the beast had convinced itself that each and every one of his acts of massacre were simply whims. Even now so as he starred off against his prey, the thoughts of feasting upon its flesh were over shadowed by his need to prove his strength.
Doing so however only further served to distract the Gillian from reality, his foes voice being the only sound that could drag him away from his trance like state. In number they were no more than four words, however what followed them sent little less than shivers down the titan’s spine as hundreds of years worth of evolution had prepared him for this now intensified battle. Upon his command, the shinigami’s blade would now luster an ominous white, the monsters instincts screaming in pain as the mere sight of a released zanpakuto proved far too overwhelming.
Unable to contain his excitement, Ezequiel focused his eye sight on the plasma edged weapon. Having no previous recollection of a shikai or what powers it would bestow its user, the Gillian prepared to dart himself out of the way as his enemies movements suggested a long ranged attack would soon follow. Almost instantaneously, the giant had warped from his previous location to several meters toward the left with the aid of Sonido as the mans now immense blade came crashing downward from the heavens. Despite his quick reflexes the mysterious inner workings behind the shinigami’s attack had left him in the dark and with a small gash on his left shoulder to show for it.
“Interesting.” The beast stated as the rush of adrenaline drowned out all hints of pain. Laughing away manically, Ezequiel would raise his palm as an oceans worth of crimson reiatsu gathered and began to condense itself into an orb like shape. Upon completion, the compressed ball would fire outward in a wide pillar of energy, demolishing several buildings that stood in its wake along with the sword wielding man should it be successful.

“Tch.” Takuya frowned, watching as the beast made use of high speed motion to avoid his strike. He grit his teeth, watching as it reappeared, a few meters away. That was... Sonido. He had heard of it before, but never personally seen Sonido used before. He could hear the characteristic crackle, like static electricity, that he had read about. He turned to face the creature, taking in it's new vantage point. Strange. It hadn't used the advantage of surprise to attack him, like he expected it would. It must have something else in mind. He gripped his sword again, holding the point low as it the creature faced him.
His eyes widened as he saw the beast thrust it's hand forward. He could feel the gathering mass of reiatsu coming together, focusing into a single point and compressing into a ball. He could feel the malignant crimson, even from here, pressing against his soul. He knew what kind of destruction this would cause. He swallowed his nervous fear. He could not allow such harm to come to the people around him. He gathered energy into his legs, using a quick flicker of motion [2.14], coming ten meters closer to the beast as the ball began to charge, swinging his sword upward with massive force.
“Mizore.” Was the calm murmur. [2.22] The blade would once again shoot out to incredible length, long enough to rip through the charging Cero, destabilizing it and hopefully causing the blast to detonate prematurely. He was confident his sword was strong enough to break the attack, even if it discharged. His sword would be longer, however, long enough to slice the hand that released, tearing it up from palm to twixt the fingers. As his blade returned to it's normal length, the master sword wielder grinned, pulling his blade back and staring at the creature for the briefest of moments. Why not have a little fun while he was at it?

The shinigami was persistent to say the very least. Despite the devastating attack known only as cero reaching completion, the man would show no signs of trying to escape the confrontation, let alone attempting to retreat to a safe distance. That in mind, the Gillian could do little but speculate how his foe would attempt to defend against the approaching blast.
“Mizore”
The words would echo into the giant’s eardrums, leaving a familiar sensation that originated from his smoldering wound. Unless he was mistaken, Ezequiel could clearly recall the shinigami uttering that same word not too long ago in the course of this battle. Perhaps his weapon needed some sort of indication before it could extend, though whether or not it did he had just unknowingly given away a vital piece of information to the Gillian.
Whilst forming the sphere, the giant had been converting the concrete below him into no less than a dozen falcons. Assuming that the man would be too preoccupied with the readying cero, he would likely not notice the incoming flock of birds which had taken the precaution to fly as close to the textured floor as possible before aprroaching their target. Expecting the shinigami to use his previous attack again, the flurry of winged beasts would dive onto the man’s arm upon scaling the building, each one detonating upon reaching a suitable distance with a blast radius of half a meter.
The force of the impact should at the very least push the sword some distance away from the monster, assuming that the man himself did not decide to do so in an attempt to dodge the incoming danger. If not then both these foes would risk losing an appendage, though with the cluster of energy now charged to completion, either way Ezequiel intended to cause some damage to the surrounding area.
Creacionismo Verso II [Creationism Verse II]
Level: Average
Description: Ezequiel’s most basic power is the ability to change inorganic matter into living organisms, with the exception of objects formed using reiatsu such as zanpakuto and other spirit weapons. By making physical contact with an inorganic object such as a rock or slab of dirt, Ezequiel can then transfer his reiatsu into it, changing its form and giving it a consciousness which aims to follow the hollows orders. Having reached the next stage of his evolution, Ezequiel can now create life forms about the size of small animals such as birds or snakes. These life forms can gain more advanced characteristics the original animal would have such as a fish being able to swim or even a bats ability to use sonar, however they still cannot produce their own substances such as poisons making things like a spider unable to weave a web or poison people through bites. Though tiny insect sized creatures can still be created almost instantaneously, anything bigger will take a few extra seconds to fully form.
Restrictions: Ezequiel only.
Ultimátium [Ultimatum]
Level: Low-Average
Description: Ezequiel can pump his reiatsu into the unique creations only he can create using his Creacionismo ability, turning them in essence into bombs which can detonate at most 50 meters away from the user. The explosion can only be caused by Ezequiel’s will however if he does choice not to activate the power, he will risk losing all the reiatsu he stored into the creature. The size of the explosion varies from the amount of reiatsu stored, however a small sized creature will cause little damage, producing an explosion about the size of an tennis ball which at best can only char and scorch flesh. However with larger animals, more reiatsu can be stored into them which in turn will result in much stronger explosions.
Restrictions: Ezequiel only.

Given that Takuya was standing on the air itself, far departed from any building, there would be a long distance and little places for the created reiatsu beasts to hide. Takuya noted them as they flew upwards toward him through the open air, but he merely adjusted his plans to better suit their new motion. Whatever they were, they belied some kind of power within them, Takuya could detect that much. Whatever it was, he was willing to bet that they could be only harmful or durable, not both at the same time. They didn't possess enough reiatsu to do both. He grinned, turning in mid-air as they approached him, making use of his previously planned Mizore to, rather than cut the Cero in two, slash through the birds, his blade extending long enough for him to obliterate the formation of them in a few quickly placed motions from the master swordsman, a good four meters away.
“Shit..” He murmured, turning to face back towards his foe. He wouldn't be able to stop the Cero before it charged now. He could see the spiritual force preparing to unleash. Blade glowing with effervescent energies, he expertly swung the sword, bringing the blade to bear. He slashed down with his blade, this time without a word, unleashing the lengthening blade, sending it shooting forward, twenty meters, ripping at the energy that sought to crush him. [3.22] It would be, undoubtedly, a surprise. He knew for certain now; this Gillian was strong, but it's Cero was still immature, not nearly as strong as the power of his Fuyu no Tsuki; her Mizore was levels beyond it.
The blade wouldn't stop there; rending with great might, it tore up at the arm, slashing it in half all the way up to the forearm. He would bear no such destruction in his town. Not while he was assigned to the defense of Karakura Town. He kept his senses aware for any other sneak attacks that might require him to break off in his course of actions. If not however, he would flick his blade before him in a defensive pattern. He was the master; the lord all swordsman. In this town, there were none who swung their sword with more force or skill than he did. He certainly wouldn't be bested by the ridiculous magics of a Gillian...

The Gillian frowned upon the sight he bore witness to as his minions fell from the heavens, decapitated into several pieces as they hit the ground and slowly molted back into a grayish texture of cement. Profound rage would surge from the Gillian as he unleashed the energy he had been storing in a wide beam, sending it hurdling toward the shinigami.
The giant knew from the beginning that his theory about his foes power could be no more than a speculation, yet the shock it caused would still leave him unprepared as it became obvious that the zanpakuto’s power had been underestimated. Wide eyed, the beast could do little but watch as his cero was pierced and rendered useless as it quickly deformed and faded into the air, leaving little to no signs of destruction for his efforts worth.
“D-Damn…” The monster would mutter, unable to resist as his left limb was torn from his body under all the commotion. Screaming in pain, the giant would quickly go into a frenzy, contrasting his previous calm demeanor. Though before the giant could act out of spite, his shouting soon morphed into hysteric laughter as an ominous glow enveloped his torn wound. As if months had passed in that very second, the titans wounds diminished into nothingness, leaving behind a colossal hand to replace the one that had just been sliced off. Eager to test it out, Ezequiel slammed both his fists onto a pair of nearby buildings, sending several tons worth of rubble raining toward his foe before exhaustion would have the chance to kick in.
Regeneración [Regeneration]
Level: High
Description: The user flows reiatsu to a wounded area, consciously or unconsciously, and regenerates it, reassembling any lost parts from spirit particles. This ability consumes a massive amount of reiatsu to perform and is often the deciding factor in both a Hollow’s loss and their survival. However, with conscious effort a Hollow can repress this reaction. This technique generally only triggers for massive wounding or lost appendages, and not lesser wounds. However, this cannot save a Hollow from death if their mask is broken or a large amount of their body is obliterated. This is only the potential for healing that Hollows possess, but few ever increase in power.
Restrictions: This technique is automatically gained when a Hollow obtains Gillian Rank, but is lost upon becoming an Arrancar. A Hollow Point may be spent to keep the ability past Arrancar Class.

“Hah.” Takuya grinned, smiling as his sword ripped through his foe, tearing off the arm. He swung his sword in a few defensive patterns, watching the beast's reactions closely. The monster was screaming, losing it's mind. It was going to rampage soon. Again, he couldn't allow such a thing to transpire. He gripped the jian hilt of his zanpaktou, gently lifting the blazing blue blade, letting it radiate with forcible light and power. He smirked, gathering his reiatsu before him. He could feel it filling his body. He had to take this creature down. No matter what. The blade of his sword filled with stark illumination.
“Eh?” He said suddenly, eyes widening as the creature's howling turned into sick laughter. He focused his optics on it, watching with a sickening feeling of dread as the creature's arm burst back into existence, regenerating the wound in a matter of seconds. His frown deepened. High speed regeneration... He hadn't expected a Hollow to have a power like that. He had to figure out some way to stop that regeneration, if he was going to kill this thing. He growled under his breath. He didn't know if he could kill it. At the very least, he had to beat it back into the Garganta.
The creature smashed the buildings beside him, sending a shower of debris toward Takuya. He grit his teeth, laying his right hand below his left, gripping the hilt of his jian. The blade flared with energy, and he smirked, breathing deeply as the pieces come near him. His sword flashed, cutting through each piece, tearing apart the rubble, sending it to part harmlessly around him, falling to the earth. The glowing reishi of his sword bobbed and weaved, elegantly piercing through each chunk of stone and metal. As the cloud past him, he exhaled, letting out his breath and holding his blade forward.
“Now now. You might want to back up, now. All the way back, right to wherever you came from.” He said tauntingly, holding the sword out before him, pointing the piercing blade at the creature, ten meters away. It was aimed at the creature's torso, near the nape of it's cloak, right above the hole in it's chest. He was going to drive it back or send it straight to hell. One way or another. “Mizore.”[4.22] The blade shot forward, blasting to puncture straight through the creature, and ten meters beyond it, spearing right through it. It was a simple, but fast attack, designed to put the creature on the defensive...

“Hmph.” Ezequiel sighed, his body now being forced into a series of panting as he struggled to regain control of himself. Having just burned a massive arsenal of reiatsu, the severe exhaustion that followed it could only be expected; a prospect the creature had been dreading upon bearing witness to his foes survival despite the mediocre attempt to finish him. “Back up? I intend to.” He stated, suggesting that such an act would leave a minimal scar to his already battered pride. Sensing the incoming danger that would be the shinigami’s fast approaching blade, the Gillian would dart away in an instantaneous blur, appearing several meters away from his previous location in an attempt to further increase the distance separating him from his foe.
Preparing to escape, the titan would raise his finger tip high in the sky in order to signal the opening of Garganta, though not before a sharp grin urged itself to form on his pure white mask. The shinigami by now would be busy retracting his blade back to its original length, the perfect opportunity to launch an attack simultaneous to the vulnerable moment.
The debris which had earlier been flung as projectiles had yet to meet their purpose as the chunks of concrete molted into a flurry of winged insects, each one now approaching the male with frightening speeds. The cloud of prone explosives stretched a considerable distance as they quickly scattered, aiming to incase the shinigami in a sphere upon approaching him, each one more than capable of detonating with a flesh scorching impact the size of a tennis ball.

He figured as much, when the beast moved out of the way. It was merely a test of the creature's reactions. It was fast, nearly as fast as he was. He smirked. The creature, however, was predictable. Every living thing fought according to patterns. The master swordsman knew this, incorporated it, and thus separated himself from someone who merely called themselves a master. He had purposely displayed a pattern in the motions of his blade all along. Swing, extend, retract. Swing, extend, retract. He knew his opponent would react automatically, internalizing the pattern, little did it realize, however, that the pattern could change in an instant.
Extend, swing, retract. The clods of earth he had separated were breaking apart, even as his blade extended towards the foe. He could feel it, and he could easily tell when, rather than making a huge ruckus upon impact with the other buildings behind him, they merely faded away into insectile nothingness. He turned quickly. His original plan had been to slash through whatever creations of exploding earth his opponent had created, but upon seeing the massive cloud, he found himself doubting. He dragged the massive reiatsu saber through, cutting through a number of them, but the cloud contained far too many of the miniscule insects.
“Shit.” He cursed, as the bugs approached him and his sword retracted. He needed to get out before they approached him. With a flicker of sound, like cloth sliding against cloth, he disappeared, vanishing from sight, as the bugs closed in on him. [3.14] Boom. As the explosions set off, he tapped his foot lightly against the open air, now twenty-five meters from the beast and far removed from the cloud. He grimaced, feeling the burns on his right shoulder smoking. It was going to be painful, he wouldn't be able to use a two-hand grip again any time soon. He gripped the sword with his left hand, narrowing his eyes at the beast and gritting his teeth.
It was ripping open the sky, preparing to flee. He merely stood and watched, his sword deftly flickering out and destroying any insect that came near him, detonating any bug that entered the sphere of his arm-length. He waited for the creature to step within the tear in the sky it was creating, his sword at the ready. This was a battle that wasn't going to be won here decisively. He could cut it more, but it wouldn't be easy. Even then, he had no way of knowing whether or not the creature would die, or merely regenerate. He would bring back a report of it's power to the Seireitei...

The ripples formed in the darkening skies manifested a rip in time and space, its dark mouth seemingly leading to nothing more than an abyss of darkness. Taking his first steps inside, the Gillian would be greeted by a torrent of black reiatsu which paved way to an endless tunnel consumed by the shadows which littered its insides.
Before his body would be engulfed by the portal, the giant turned his head sharply. Upon noticing his foes shouldering shoulder the beast could do little but chuckle abruptly, his laughter echoing throughout the city block as the shinigami glared with malice. Having deemed that there was no such obligation to conclude the battle, Ezequiel shifted his attention back to the whirling vortex and he entered it with no further thoughts.
The portals maw would shut tightly upon his safe passage into it, leaving no trace of the titan’s existence. The shinigami had yet to reveal his name; however his face would remain etched onto the Gillian’s memory as he headed toward the white sands of Hueco Mundo, his existence now perceived as no less than a threat in the monsters eyes.
