Quiet. No sound disturbed the complete silence blanketing the second division headquarters. Saito Castagnier, one of the many resting within the division lay in his bed, completely awake. Like he'd let a night like this pass by. It was "hobby" to go out at night whenever the need to presented itself. With the silence and the full moon accompanying the night, it seemed like the perfect time to do so. Quietly removing himself from his bed, and eventually the second division headquarters, he found himself walking aimlessly atop one of the rooftops. He had no particular direction or destination in mind, rather he simply aimed to enjoy the night.
As of lately, ever since his arrival within the second division, he had only been assigned to paper work and other boring tasks. He had longed for the opportunity to be sent out in the real world, or to help with a problem within Seiretei itself. However the division's purpose did not allow it, he would only be assigned to a task when his abilities were specifically needed. After all, he was an assassin, in training. Though hopefully, something interesting would take place to night, as unlikely as it sounded. And if nothing did, then he would have neither lost or gained anything.

Within the image of the full moon on this silent night there was nothing, but a light breeze gracing the Seireitei. I found myself once again traveling through the night alone. Looking up towards that same moon that has always blessed me upon this strange evening. There hadn't been too much excitement since I was instated within the Gotei Thirteen Court Squads. Being a Second division member was something indeed, being the police force of Soul Society.
Leaping onto the nearest building beside me. I'll begin to walk along the roof tops with my ravenous tresses flowing gracefully as the wind grazed my scalp. The glacial occulis that gave me the ability to see were now taking in the surroundings closely. Even noticing a lone being making his way along the same tops I was once on. Glancing on his position as I debated friendly or foe. Regardless, I awaited his words, but my lips did manage to part with a simple,"Yo."

Saito had only been a few minutes into his walk outside when he encountered someone nearby. Taking more careful observation would reveal that he was simply another shinigami, and no symbolic items of important adorned his shinigami hakama. This meant that whomever it was, was the same as Saito in that sense. Once the distance had been closed between the two, Saito came to a complete stop and stood in front of the other. Now that he could clearly see his face, the moonlight illuminating the rooftops they currently stood upon, Saito recognized him. They weren't personally acquainted, but Saito had seen his face more then once from his time spent in the second division headquarters.
Kaito, was it?
Saito initially expected the first words from Kaito to be in the form of a question as to why he was out roaming around at night. It would sound off if his only excuse was that he enjoyed doing so. But if Kaito had been doing the same, then he had nothing to worry about. Meeting his glance, Saito put his hands on his hips and cleared his throat with a small cough before replying.
"Hey, you're apart of the second division as well right?"
The answer might have been obvious, but Saito had wanted clarification. [/blockquote]

Looking at the one that I had ushered a mere greeting towards, Saito. I'll begin to notice the language his body had began to take. Regardless, we were two warrior's within the same division, but that did not quench the question of whether or not I could truly call this person a comrade. Still I wouldn't press the issue, but merely listen to him as he'll begin to speak. Seemingly as his hand rested on his hip, my mind and body ready to react in the quickest of manner. It was a habit since arriving within the Seireitei. I've seen what can be done by Shinigami and witnessed what terror hollows can cause on both worlds the living and the dead.
"Yes...I am from the second division as well. So where are we headed," I found myself questioning the man before me. Surely he wouldn't mind telling me a little something. Regardless, I was awaiting for more than that...surely these boring nights had some form of entertainment awaiting both of us,"So when will things start speeding up, Saito. Haven't been too much work as of lately and I refuse to do paperwork."

Saito waited quietly, listening to his replies and following words. The whole time he maintained eye contact with Kaito, wondering what he should tell him next. Once he had finished speaking, guessing from the silence, Saito would let out a sigh and begin walking aimlessly again off to the side. He had no particular location he wanted to go to at the moment, well other then the real world. Saito let his arms drop down to his side again as he started to walk. If Kaito followed beside him, there would be another few minutes of silence assuming he didn't speak. Finally, to break it Saito began talking again.
"You've heard about it right? The missing shinigami?"
How couldn't he have? Rumors of the shinigami mysteriously disappearing was talked about through all of Gotei 13. Saito was unaware of the actual details, but he had only one thought about the subject. It was inevitable that hte captains would decide to send troops into the real world to investigate and eliminate the problem, and he desired more then anything to be apart of that. Would they bother sending unseated shinigami? Despite all these things, he figured he needed to let out his thoughts to somebody instead of holding it all inside.
"I want to..help. I know I can. Don't you want to go as well?"

Here I was walking along with a comrade from my very own division. To think that us both were looking for something to do at this time of the night. Surely, the dead did creep around in the night, but regardless of all that pish paw. Saito seemed to have came across some very interesting information that possibly sparked a flame within both of us. For I knew through my being I could feel the need to find something to get into...as if I was yearning for something...
"I over heard about it from the others within our division," I reiterated as I knew of these tales. They seemingly floated about the Gotei Thirteen quite often these days. Still, I remained focus on the moon that was within the air. Walking further along as I'll glance back at Saito. I'll speak...,"Do I want to help? No. I don't want to help. I will help them out regardless...Seems like you want to go as well. So why don't we take it in our hands and do so."
The determination that was amongst my facade showed how dedicated I was in my duties. Then again it also displayed my lucrative instinct that always been apart of me. I was one to act on response and instinct, but how my friend Saito acted really was what lingered in my mind. Would he follow me to help the lost Shinigami? [/font][/blockquote]
