NameTsushima
Appearance:
In her sealed state, Tsushima rests as a short sword, measuring 40 inches (101.6 centimeters) in length with a razor sharp steel blade of 25 inches (63.5 centimeters). It’s hilt is wrapped in emerald cloth and a dark gold serpent adorns the butt of the weapon. The ninjato sits within a black sheath, decorated with silver leaf snakes which coil around the holster.
Once released, Tsushima seemingly disappears save for the emerald ribbon which wraps around both her arms and torso. Filled with reiatsu, the ribbon reacts to the thoughts and movements of Hikari and produces throwing knives in her hand on command. These knives are black with a silver outer blade and measure 6 inches (15.24 cm) long with a 3 inch (7.62 cm) blade. Small and aerodynamic, these projectiles are strong enough to puncture wood and bone. The blades also have minute serrations running towards the hilt, which makes pulling them from wounds enlarge the injury due to tearing of additional flesh. Though they are physical entities, they are mostly comprised of reiatsu and can form and disperse on Hikari’s command.
Manifestation:
The spirit of Tsushima takes the form of a young girl. With fair skin and an emerald mane that flows to her legs, Tsushima is considered beautiful, though young. Her eyes match her hair in color. Tsushima is dressed in a silver qi pao, or Chinese style dress, with gold tendrils running up her left side. Though it covers most of her body, her legs and arms are revealed.
Most of the time, Tsushima is rather docile and speaks in a soft and calm voice. Graceful and diplomatic, the young girl is very intelligent and cunning. However, when angered, the spirit can be quite angry and ruthless, lashing out at whatever caused her mood swing.
Inner World:
The inner world of Tsushima is a simple forest of sakura trees eternally in bloom. A crystal clear lake sits in the center of the forest and plush green grass blankets the earth. A world looked as if it was painted with watercolor, this scenery is a romanticized version of a park near where Hikari grew up, frozen in time during her favorite festival. Each year during the Sakura blossom festival, Hikari's grandmother would bring her a brand new colorful yukata and take her to the park to watch the flowers in bloom. During the celebration, the young Hikari would play carnival games such as trying to catch a fish with a paper net while enjoying the fried festival foods.
Release Phrase: Ute, Tsushima!
Abilities:
-Shikai-[/u]
Rank 5 Upon releasing Tsushima, the sword form disappears, and a single green ribbon is loosely wrapped around both of her arms. With a flick of her wrist, she can create throwing knives from reiatsu which can be thrown with remarkable precision, accuracy, and duplicity. In this stage, only 8 knives can be in existence at any one time. The knives created from Tsushima have a unique ability, being that once they have been thrown, they can be “thrown” again or “jump” from their resting place to make an additional surprise attack. Since only 8 knives can be in the physical realm at one time, older weapons can be “dispelled” so more can be created. When dismissed, the reiatsu flows back to the ribbons on Hikari’s arm.
Rank 7 The secondary ability of Tsushima awakens, revealing itself to be an addition of a poison to each knife created by the Shikai. This venom is a neurotoxin that disables muscle contraction and causes paralysis to wherever the blade cuts. The effects of the poison take time to occur (1 post until some numbness is felt and another 4 of increased loss of feeling until the limb becomes fully paralyzed) and will persist until treated or until they have left the vicinity of Hikari's reiatsu. However, the knife must stick into its opponent in order to deliver enough toxin to take effect. A single knife only contains enough poison to effect 1 of the 10 zones of the body. (Head, Torso, Upper Arms, Lower Arms, Upper Legs, Lower Legs.) Those not fitting the humanoid body arch-type should use equal dimensions to determine effects.
Rank 10 Upon reaching rank 10, her Shikai ability is upgraded, allowing her to have, at maximum, 16 knives in physical form. These weapons are given the ability to “bounce” an additional time (for a total of 2).
Rank 13 The final shikai upgrade comes at rank 13, increasing her knife capacity to 32. In addition, she gains the ability to “bounce” them again (for a total of 3).
