Zero is determined, but retains a quality of innocence and a child-like softness of features complimented by smooth pale skin playing a contrast with his jet-black hair. He does not wear his hair in a style; instead he prefers to simply let it move and grow freely, and has even shaved it off before, but now wears it in a medium length spiky cut. He has medium sized slightly narrowed coal black-eyes that become red in the presence of certain types of spiritual energy, a small nose and mouth, with average sized ears rounded off nicely, and a pointed jaw.
He is thin with athletic undertones, of average height with a sculpted physique and a posture of unwavering defiance.
Shinigami Uniform: Standard, with the addition of multi-colored shimenawa (thick rope belt) wrapped around his waist. His Zanpakuto is also carried at a diagonal across his lower back, and typically unsheathed with a reverse grip.
Casual/Mission Oriented: He wears a collar-less long sleeved white over-shirt kept open and unbuttoned, with simple black pants and his trademark shimenawa, along with black obi and simple black framed armored boots. He sometimes wears fingerless gloves with reinforced cheap metal knuckles and on his left arm, a long sleeved black arm guard and several bandages wrapped around an aleph shaped scar. He will either wear black samurai hakama and banded metal combat boots for extended battle or sometimes just a simple reinforced cloak. All accessories and additional weapons are held in the folds of his thick obi, or in small holsters beneath them at either side.
He is not often seen smiling, and tends to make only a facial expression that conveys business or abruptness and a need to move quickly. He always appears focused, but to those who look close enough, there is also the hint of true kindness peeking in just around the eyes. When angry, he often raises only his left eyebrow, and has recently begun smoking nearly a pack-a-day of low quality black tobacco cigarettes.

He takes the world in in a concrete and literal fashion, and as such, has little time for philosophy, preferring a more straightforward assessment of the world and his place within it. He will not spout trite platitudes about the nature of existence or re-hash some pedestrian misunderstanding of self-worth or determination, and also places no intrinsic value in positive philosophical concepts such as 'nationalism'. He does not 'believe' in anything, he either knows something or does not, and without malice or undue hostility, he rejects not only opinions which allow for perceptual ambiguity, but also the people who form them.
Right and wrong are simply additional forms of societal control to Zero; he will not go out of his way to harm another person, and gains no personal pleasure from seeing others harmed, but also gains no personal pleasure from seeing them happy. He will prevent violent actions being taken against the weak and/or defenseless but only because he places such a high value on an individuals right to exist. He does not personally enjoy the act of killing, but he does enjoy the opportunity for physical expression that combat brings. He is not above performing what could be seen as criminal activity, simply because he feels that he did not agree to the laws framing his existence within any social structure, so he should not have to obey them. He is often seen as incredibly impolite, due to his lack of the use of honorifics, but as he has several complex and interconnected issues with the idea of rank, he's not in actuality seeking to be rude. He simply doesn't take any extra measures to appear polite. He believes in being as one is, and being left alone for it. As such, regardless of his impressive ability as a Shinigami, he often finds himself in trouble for insubordination.
He has no ambitions or goals, no true purpose in life, outside of continuing his own existence. The only thing he values more than his own freedom, is his life, and the brief satisfaction that comes from destroying hollows.

Description: The user gathers reiatsu into the palm of their dominant hand, extending their palm forward. The user then places their off hand on their wrist, wrapping their fingers around it. They then gather the reiatsu into a ball of energy floating in front of the palm. The user then releases the ball of red energy forward like a cannon-ball. It will explode on contact with anything, much like a grenade or rocket.
Incantation: Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado no Sanjuuichi: Shakkahō!

The fingertip will swell with blue-white energy before exploding forward in a narrow, piercing beam of white lightning-like reiatsu, capable of punching holes through opponents.

Description: Gathering reiatsu and beginning the incantation for the spell, the caster will then extend their dominant hand outwards, releasing a star-shaped net of golden light. A versatile spell that can be used for a great many things, such as holding a large weight or, if used correctly, catching yourself or an ally from a fall. The technique has zero defensive value and can be ripped through with proper intent: however, it has enough strength to hold many thousand pounds worth of weight, and can be as large as the user needs it to be. A weak-point to the spell would be its' need for something to anchor its' five points to; however, a variation of the spell is also taught that allows the user to create the anchors out of reiatsu, which allows the net to be created and sustained even in mid-air.

The sword's original form is actually quite unimpressive amongst other Zanpakuto. The handle and hilt, as well as the squared guard are covered in a common white cover, designed as a modern reinterpretation of a Kusanagi Blade. It lacks any curves to the metal and has no hand-guard, instead extending straight for a medium total length of approximately 4.8 feet. It is a Zanpakuto that is more easily held with one hand.
