Silence.... the park is too quiet tonight.... I walked slowly through, the frosted grass tips crunching under my boots. I dug my gloved hands into my coat pockets, trying to keep warm in the cold air. Breath clouding beneath my dark hat, my sharp eyes flickered back and forth across the barren landscape. Perhaps I would find no monsters tonight. The cold itself would not deter them, but with nobody out here, what reason would they have to come forth?
It was indeed cold, and I wondered if perhaps I should merely return home instead of pursuing this whole 'vigilante justice' bit, especially in the cold tonight. Maybe a little bit longer....

Zetsumei walked slowly into the park, vaguely disappointed he couldn't find any Hollows to play his little game with. Maybe there would be something in the river worth blowing up, stranger things have happened, after all. He let out a visible breath, watching as it faded away in front of his face. Maybe he should of gone with more than a long sleeved silver shirt, although the black pants were warm enough. His sunglasses hung from the collar of his shirt, not as if he could use them at night, unless he wanted to be blind.
He glanced around, vaguely noticing another person across the river. His eyes glowed a faint red, possibly visible in the darkness, not that he worried to much. With that, he let go of a small burst of Reiatsu near the middle of the lake. He watched as the water burst up suddenly, raining back down in an honestly quiet beautiful little display. He had no idea that the other person would be able to detect it, let alone care beyond wondering why the water had gotten jumpy.
In the end, nothing came out of the water to see what happened, which was just as well he supposed. If it had, he might of ended up dragging the other person into trouble, which wouldn't of been fair. He probably should of thought about that ahead of time, but he needed to blast things on occasion or he'd get a headache from stored up energy. He hadn't even killed a fish this time, he was improving!

As I continued to crunch through the frosted earth, my senses suddenly turned to regard a location across the river. A flare of reiatsu shined forth like a beacon, coming from a normal-looking teenager type. Human? It seemed most likely. Although his reiatsu signature was certainly unique, it spoke to his nature as a spiritual being. There was a faint hint of hollow in him, similar to Aspel, but he was definitely a human. He made no effort to control or contain his spiritual pressure. I began to wonder if I might have to fight off some hollows today after all, for they would soon be drawn to him.
As I turned to look at him I noticed a small build up of reiatsu in him, which was suddenly transferred into the water of the river, mushrooming into a nice little explosion of water. A singular eyebrow was raised slightly. Interesting skill you have there, but perhaps you should not be showing it so easily I thought. Such displays would also draw hollows here. I wondered if he had even noticed me, as faint vaporous fog covered parts of the field. Perhaps our meeting tonight was destined, as I could not just leave him now, regardless of his ability to defend himself or not.
I would not summon any weapons, both to prevent myself being noticed, and as to not alarm him. I would however, begin a fair pace towards the nearby bridge, designed to bring myself closer to him with alacrity. I would proceed pretty quickly, but in a non-threatening manner. Hopefully he would allow me to approach.

Well, looks like the little explosion got the other mans attention, for he soon went for the bridge, clearing intending to have a chat of some sort. It wasn't that he looked threatening, it was just that he seemed clearly focused on getting to his destination relatively quickly, which happened to be across the bridge, which was where he was. Could that mean he was going for something else entirely? Yes. Was it likely? Not really.
With that thought in mind, he went ahead and decided to shorten the walk for his possible new friend. Why assume friend? Simply because he didn't seem to be going for threatening, though that could easily be a ruse, he sincerely hoped it wouldn't be. It's always better to make a few allies before you make enemies, unless of course this person had no power, in which case it wouldn't matter much either way.
He had a sneaking suspicion he could do something, though, as someone who couldn't isn't likely to head right for the cause of an explosion. Unless he was just a really curious idiot, in which case he may or may not need to kill him. That would only be if he tried to black mail him in some way, what's the chances of running into a human dumb enough to do that, knowing you could blow their head off?
By the time he realized he was rambling, albeit in his mind, he was already waiting a short distance away from the bridge. He let the man approach him, offering his hand in a very open gesture. Should he agree to shake it, it would strike him as the time to introduce himself. "Out for a walk by the lake as well? I'm Zetsumei, you are?" He say, without leaving time for response until he was completely done, allowing for a answer in the same format he'd followed. Should he not take the hand, however, he'd simply let his slip into his pockets, waiting for the other man to say something.

As I crossed the bridge, cold water below still rippling from the previous disturbance, I noticed the boy before me had noticed and was approaching me as well. My own pace would slow a bit, as it did not seem that he was afraid, but rather seemed interested in meeting me. Therefore there was no reason for undue hurry. As I approached the teen and he came to me, he spoke out, extending a hand. "Out for a walk by the lake as well? I'm Zetsumei, you are?"
I clasped his hand with a solid grip, not hurting him at all, but showing my strength nonetheless. "Naka" I responded, giving him my name. I took this moment to regard him, observing his features and clothing. Curious gray eyes and silver hair, along with plain clothing. A bit of a sharp contrast to my dark red hair and pressed uniform. A typical teenager perhaps? My observations took but a moment, a hardly noticeable pause in the conversation, or whatever this was.
With a quick glance about I spoke in a soft but clear voice. "I can tell you are no ordinary human, but do you know the danger you are in? You are not safe here, we should leave." Waiting for his response, I would stretch out my senses carefully, watching for any evidence of hollows. My senses were keen, probably greater than his, although I could only guess at his power. Further analyzing his reiatsu signature would yield more precise knowledge.
As I began to do so it became clear that this person was but in the infancy of his power, hardly past what could be called a 'spiritually aware' human. An interesting turn of events. Meeting another gifted human, and this one just having begun down that path.

He smiled a bit at this Naka's apparent concern, as well as a possibly intentional admittance that he had something special about him, though he was a bit farther along on his path than Zetsumei at the moment. "I know quite well, actually, I was looking for one of those masked things, to be honest. I have to use a bit of energy every now and then or I start to get headaches, I figured it was better used against them then randomly blowing up street signs, if you know what I mean." He said, admitting that he couldn't control his power completely, while at the same time trying to show that he was at least trying to do something useful with it until he could.
At least he didn't randomly blow things up, he was sure there were a number of people with these abilities that couldn't even control them as well as he could. He wondered vaguely why no instances of that had shown up on the news, then remembered he never watched the news, and dismissed it. He was curious as to what this person could do, as he was sure that he'd already figured out his little bomb trick.
He looked practiced, in a way, or at least a bit more experienced than the teenager. Could this man teach him something, perhaps? Could it hurt to ask? Possibly, to be honest, a lot of people don't like the idea of apprentices. Not that he really wanted to be one, just wanted to know enough to control his own powers properly and perhaps have a bit better sensory abilities.
[OOC:Blaa.. not the best post in the world. Does it make it confusing at all for you that I use third person while you use first? I could try using first, if it does. I don't know how well I'd do, though.]

{OOC: Not at all. Most people use third person, I am certainly used to it by now. I simply prefer first person; rping as if I am the character is more real, more interesting for me.}
The teenager smiled a little at my comments. It would seem that perhaps he did indeed know more about the world of hollows then his appearance and power level might suggest. "I know quite well, actually, I was looking for one of those masked things, to be honest. I have to use a bit of energy every now and then or I start to get headaches, I figured it was better used against them then randomly blowing up street signs, if you know what I mean." I nodded a bit, absorbing the information. "That certainly is a better choice." A quaint little explanation of his power, a simple release of energy, somehow connected to his headaches. I wondered how he had first discovered his powers.... but that was a question for another day, another time.
"However," I paused, "if you are not careful expelling power like that it could get you in trouble. Before you know it too many hollow may show up, and innocent people could die. There is much responsibility that comes with great power.
As I continued to look about, my senses suddenly spiked. A hollow had entered the area, still a ways away but closing. I glanced at the boy to see if he had noticed, but it would be apparent that he had not. So I would speak forth, warning him of the danger. "See, here is one now. Be ready to fight."

It seemed Naka agreed with him, at least in regards to bettering the use of his abilities, though he did insist upon being careful. He didn't know if what he had would be considered "great" power, but it was a power none the less. "I try to avoid being near anyone when I go looking, though I suppose I could stand to be a bit more careful." He said, nodding slightly, as if he was taking the other mans advice to heart.
He blinked slightly, listening as the other man proclaimed the arrival of a hollow, though he couldn't see it yet. "Either your eye sight is a lot better than mine or you can sense them, that'd be a nice ability to have..." He said, thinking quietly to himself at the end, wondering vaguely how long it would be before he could sense things himself. Regardless, he'd take the mans advice until it could be proven inaccurate, watching diligently for the white mask, as the black would be very hard to spot in the night.
[OOC: Blaa.. only two paragraphs.. I have such a bad headache, though, I wish I could really get rid of them by blowing stuff up. Might make it easier to write posts, at least.]

The boy responded to my word of warning: "I try to avoid being near anyone when I go looking, though I suppose I could stand to be a bit more careful." He seemed to be taking my words to heart, but who would really tell with kids these days. As I noticed the approaching hollow and told him about it, he looked confused. "Either your eye sight is a lot better than mine or you can sense them, that'd be a nice ability to have..." I nodded a bit, speaking absentmindedly as I continued to stretch out my senses. "Yea, it is pretty useful. It just takes a bit of training, and experience."
I could see the hollow approaching now, his white mask showing clearly in the night sky. As it drew nearer other features became clear. The mask was elongated with a snout, like a dog or something. In fact, all over it looked much like a feral dog. Its body seemed very quick, almost as if it was in a few places at once. It also looked like he had sharp claws on its paws.
It landed on the ground some distance from us, and turned towards us. I frowned, passing a hand over the front of my belt. As I did so a swirling of dark red spirit particles would begin, seeming to phase into existence and then being drawn to that point. In but a moment it had formed a small coaster-sized silver disk that remained clipped to the front of my belt. Even as it finished forming my attention was drawn back to the hollow, which suddenly roared at us. As I looked towards it I saw a cero almost completely formed already in the back of its throat. "Look out!" I yelled, throwing myself at the teen. I would quickly grab him and move right into a Hirenkyaku [1/10], a distinct sliding sound filling our ears as we traveled 10 meters very very quickly. Just in time too, as the cero was released not a moment later, bright red energy filling the area where we had been moments before and obliterating it.

Zetsumei nodded slightly in response to the other mans words, though quickly turning his focus back onto the hollow that had inevitably showed up after his prediction. He kind of lost focus when it seemed the other man was creating a weapon of some sort, looking a lot like a small disk, his attention was returned to the hollow when the other man yelled, however, just barely missing being hit by a blast of powerful red energy as they seemed to be practically tele-ported a good distance away.
He wasn't sure, but it seemed like the other man had used energy pushed into his feet to dash quickly. He'd have to try that, when a situation arose where it was necessary, anyway. Regardless, he'd focus his attention on the Hollow. His eyes would glow a bright red, keeping his gaze focused on the hollows white mask. A small ball of reiatsu would start to form almost on-top of the hollows face.
He'd brace his limbs, looking quite ready to dash out of the way should the hollow attack, while maintaining what seemed to be a staring contest with the hollow. His look almost dared it to look away, though after a nice 15 seconds he blinked, a sudden explosion bursting out from the hollows face, almost as if someone had chucked a grenade at it from no where.
He'd watch then for any signs of movement, ready to move should he see a hint of that light from before. Most Hollows don't do very well against a hit to the mask, though you should never expect victory until you know for sure. As such, he'd watch for the signs of departicaleration, or for that of an attack. Either way, he'd be sure to be ready for whatever happened.

The hollow seemed to be a bit slow, not really realizing that we had gotten away for several seconds. By the time it noticed us once again it was too late. I watched with curiosity as reiatsu transferred from the teen to the hollow, finally accumulating in a significant explosion right on its mask. Blown backwards, I saw a great tear in its mask for a brief moment before it seemed to dissipate into the air.
I watched my breath cloud the air before me for a few moments, still reaching out with my senses. It seemed that for the moment no more hollows were appearing, although that could easily change. Turning to the boy, I noticed that he seemed none the worse for wear. "Impressive." I said offhandedly as I turned back to scanning the area.
{OOC- sorry the post is short and crappy, but I wanted to keep this moving. Feel free to bring in more NPC hollows if you would like.}

"Thank you." He responded automatically, glancing around for any hints of another attack. After a bit, without a hollow appearing, he finally relaxed and turned back towards the other man. It was only then, however, that he spotted the faint red glow just behind the other man. Without a second thought, he shot forward and grabbed the other man, dashing off to the side in a flash with a distinct metallic screech, just as a blast of red energy seared through the ground where the other man had been standing. [1/4 blitzens]
"Well that was close.. but I figured out how you did the super speed thing, though it didn't seem to be exactly the same.." He mused, searching the darkness where the light had come from, seeing nothing but darkness. "It must be hiding its mask, I can't see it in the night.." He said, thinking aloud, a vague hint of annoyance in his voice. If it stayed to far away, they'd have trouble targeting it while it could continue to fire Cero's at us.
[OOC: Yeah, it's crappy, but I couldn't think up anything good]

{OOC:...Copycat XD. I will allow it this time, although I would have certainly sensed any such appearance/attack well before you noticed it}
Apparently the hollow behind me had been hiding his reiatsu or something, because I sensed his charging attack too late. Luckily the boy was looking out for me, and grabbed me while using the Advent equivalent of Hirenkyaku. His actions got us both away from the resulting cero in a most expedient fashion, bringing us to safety as it flashed into the landscape. Odd, for some reason both of the hollows we had encountered tonight were pretty keen on using cero, which was a bit unusual. Mostly hollows tried physical attacks first.
After the kid let go of me I turned to look for the hollow I could sense where it was now, although I could not see it in the darkness. It was at this same time that Zetsumei spoke, confirming my own eyes. "Well that was close.. but I figured out how you did the super speed thing, though it didn't seem to be exactly the same.. It must be hiding its mask, I can't see it in the night.." I nodded slowly, glancing at him as I responded. "Stay here and be mindful of another attack." And with that I would disappear.
As my Hirenkyaku [2/10] came to an end, I continued to run quickly, towards the location where I had sensed the hollow. As I got closer I began to discern his outline, and that is when I acted, orbs formed on my fingertips to protect me as I carefully manipulated the wire. Both hands would grab an end, throwing them up and out as they arched far out and over the hollow, crossing over top of him. The monster roared as it saw me approaching, and began charging towards me, but it was too late for him. As the wires arched over and hit the ground behind it, they would be immediately fastened there with some of the orbs. In a trice I would yank the wires back and down, causing them both to slice cleanly through the thing's body. Separated into three pieces just before it reached me, it dissipated.
While I charged to attack the first hollow, yet another would enter the scene. Over to the right of Zetsumei, it was a long and slender think, like a ginormous cobra. As it descended unto the ground, immediately it would slash at the earth with its tail, sending a fast moving but low powered cutting wave of orange reiatsu towards the teen.

[OOC: Yeah, I know, my mind isn't being very creative at the moment. I'll try to refrain from copying you, I really just wanted an excuse for him to figure out how to do the super fast thing.]
He listened to the other mans orders, blinking slightly as he suddenly disappeared. He must of done the super speed thing again, which was kind of neat, but also a little bother some. Regardless, he had to ignore that for the moment, turning just in time to spot a snake like Hollow smash into the ground to the right of him.
Instinctively, he started to back away, which turned out to be a good idea, as the thing sent a burst of Orange energy charging at him. It didn't seem very strong, so he decided to try to block it instead of wasting his energy with a speedy dash. His eyes widened, glowing a bright red, allowing him to rapidly focus and unfocus on certain spots. The result, 5 sudden but weak explosions along the front of the energy wave heading towards him, canceling it out.
Now then, it sounded like his friend had taken out the Cero blasting Hollow, so he needed to get rid of the bloody snake. He managed to spot the thing once most of the smoke had cleared, though he couldn't quiet make out the mask just yet. Instead, he followed up with another burst of his last trick. His eyes opened wide, allowing him to let loose those quick bursts of reiatsu, his eyes following along the things coiling body.
He twitched slightly as the thing let out a scream, its mask high in the air, obvious to anyone, smoke drifting from the newly made holes in its body. He focused on its mask then, catching the return glare of pure hatred as it focused on him once more. It looked just about ready to send another attack, only for its mask to suddenly explode, the rest of its body fading away into nothing.
He'd never seen this many hollow come out at once, let alone have to fight all of them. Then again, he did happen to have help, so maybe the higher power of his new friend mixed with the power he had was just attracting a bit of attention. If they sensed their buddies dying they'd probably let it go, though. With that, he kept a look out for any other hollow, working his way back towards the direction the other man had left in.
"I think they're all gone now, can you sense anymore?" He asked, once he got close enough to see the other man clearly. It felt odd having to ask someone else that, but it wasn't as if he could sense them. He'd rather be safe and sure then proud and dead, if you get what I mean.
[OOC: Hollow don't normally come this in bulk, do they? We probably shouldn't bring in to many more. Well, unless they're provoked somehow, or someone brought out some bait.]

{OOC- well it all depends. Hollows are drawn to people with high spiritual pressure, which is us. They are particularly drawn to advents and quincy because they always blast a large amount of reiatsu. A lot of a shinigami's energy is sealed into their blade, which means their power is greatly reduced, and they hardly broadcast power unless unleashing shikai, etc. Plus in any instance where there are several people involved it is bound to attract an exponential increase in attention. In the end it is really all up to use anyways.}
As I turned back to look at the boy, I saw his actions against the hollow, and realized that I did not need to act on his behalf. He was able to counter the hollow's attack with his special blasts, and then quickly moved on to attacking the thing directly. I spooled the thread back into its casing, satisfied that he could finish it. And so he did in just a few moments later, with a direct hit to its mask. Luckily to, since it seemed about to attack once more. It seemed the boy was pretty decent already, even through he was a relative newbie at this whole hollow hunting business.
As he looked around for more and moved towards me, I also approached him. "I think they're all gone now, can you sense anymore?" I had already been actively reaching forth with my senses, and indeed I could not sense anymore hollows, at least not now. However that could easily change, seeing as how we were still broadcasting a tremendous amount of power forth. Looking at the teen, I shook my head slowly.
"I think there has been enough action for one night." I said to him. "Lets get out of here." I would travel with him back into the town before we parted ways. Coming up to a street corner, I turned to him. "Stay safe, and I hope that we can see each other again some day."
