Appearance: Aubrey is a African American man who looks like a teenager, he his brown eyes and short curly black hair. He stands at 5’4” and weights about 123 lbs. He wears the black uniform of all soul reapers and keeps his sword sheathed sideways on his hip. (so it looks like its jutting out of his sides). He has a thin body, not much muscle on it, and on his back are many scars from when he was tortured. He has a kind face with wrinkle lines from laughing to much. He hates the cold and so when its cold out he may be wearing a lot of extra layers, so he looks like a fat penguin
History: Aubrey was always a kid at heart, of course as a child he was immature and reckless. He still has not grown out of those traits… He lived a normal life when he was alive. Went to high school, had some girlfriends. Eventually he became a lawyer which didn’t fit him at all, he only did it because it would make his father happy.
He was a lawyer for about 25 years when he got a case involving a murderer, Aubrey knew that the man was guilty so when it came time for him to make his case, he pleaded for a sentence that was not for the man’s entire life. Esentally admitting that his client had killed someone. This caused the client to serve 50 years in prison instead of being free. Something that made the clients family very angry.
About two weeks later Aubrey was invited to the family’s house for dinner, little did he know that the family was planning something awful. After dinner as Aubrey was leaving the mother of the client shot him in both legs. Then the family tortured him fifty times (for the number of years that his client was in prison) Which resulted in many scars on his back. And after 49 different punishments the final one was death.
Aubrey was then transported to the soul socity where he took the tests and was able to make it into the academy, other students were surpized at how young he looked, that’s when Aubrey realized that he was 16 again. Which didn’t make much of a difference to him because he hadn’t grown much in his
later years.
During his time in the soul society Aubrey made many friends, and during time at the academy he was always known as the Joker, because he never took anything seriously. And although he barely knew Kido and Bakudo he was able to learn the Shunpo and a few Hado abilities. But in his later years at the academy Aubrey got into more fights and began to lose some of his friends, all that fighting earned Aubrey a reputation as the strongest fighter in the academy, something that was quickly proven wrong when someone with real talent came and defeated Aubrey
That defeat resulted in a drive to beat anything Aubrey encountered and so Aubrey began to study harder and try more in classes and soon enough he was ready to fight the one who defeated him. The fight between them lasted for a few hours but in the end Aubrey was victorious. That victory probley gave him enough credits to graduate.
Soon Aubrey graduated from the academy, barely getting out on the account that he could barely use kido, or any spells of that type. He then spent the next two years dealing with hollow’s in his town. Then he found a hollow attacking the family that killed him. Their youngest (and nastiest) child had the ability to sense spirits and Aubrey defeated the hollow but was then acusted by the child.
In response to the child’s remarks Aubrey almost killed him, but instead he left silently, hearing a voice in his head telling him to go. He found out that the voice was actually his Sword talking to him, and another few months passed until he finally met his spirit Furi Kaze. Aubrey was able to find his name and then he released his sword. And found out that he couldn’t change it back to its normal form.
Soon after Aubrey was inducted to squad seven and that’s where this story begins.

Zanpakutou
Appearance:Furi Kaze is an ornately decorated, man-sized (about 7 feet) sword shaped like a crucifix with a shiny black blade, which is curved at the end. The hilt is large and colored golden. Throughout the sword are holes that when slashed make a whisling sound like wind passing by. When Aubrey is not using his sword he sheathes it sideways along his back (making it hard to go through doors). When using it he keeps it held with two hands and uses his speed to keep cutting through his enemy. Also Aubrey can punch through one of the holes and spin the sword around his arm as a defenceive move.
Manifestation: A large Hawk, its colored pure white and its blind. Its beak is a pitch black and its eyes are sky blue. Its feathers are all blades along with its talons. It’s about the size of Aubrey but its feathers are double as long as they should be, and the feathers all have black tips.
Inner World: Fuii Kaze’s world is a large blue sky, where all who enter stand on invisible platforms of wind and Furi can make those platfrom’s visible by command, he can also dissipate platforms. If someone falls nothing is under them except for open sky… The sky is also colored white and the clouds are sky blue, when the platforms are shown they are a greenish color and swirl around under then user. Furi Kaze flies above the platforms and attacks by diving.
Release Phrase: (none furi Kaze is a constant release Zanpakutou)
Abilities: Furi Kaze has one ability, and that is to shoot blasts of wind shaped like slashes that Aubrey makes at an enemy. The blasts are mid strength but at Aubrey’s current level, all they really do is push something back. At later levels it can be used to weakly control the wind around it. That ability comes way later though.

Shunpo is a high speed motion unique to Shinigami, achieved by focusing their energy through their body and using it to rapidly increase their speed and reflexes, allowing to move with such speed that they seem to appear and disappear. It is characterized by a distinctive whooshing sound.
