Name: Zetsumei Sabishii
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Rank: 0
Specialists: Advent/Agility specialist
Appearance:
Zetsumei has piercing grey eyes, though they were originally red when he was born. He has kind of messy silver-white hair, which is short to his standards. He has smooth white skin, along with clearly well tone and shaped muscles. If you hadn’t guessed, he’s albino.
In regards to clothing, he’ll generally stick with either baggy long sleeved grey or silver shirts, or a black dress shirt. He’s satisfied with black pants, generally relatively plain, though he has nothing against having designs on them. His pants will never reach past the start of his shoe, for fear of risking tripping himself, which he wouldn’t allow. If it looks like his pants were cut off, they probably were, just to make sure they met that little requirement. After all, who has enough money to buy new pants just cause the ones they have are a little long? As a finishing touch, he’s almost always wearing a pair of silver sunglasses that block his eyes from sight.
Advent Affinity: Hollow
Power Focus: Eyes
Advent Human Power: Bakuyaku Gyoushi [Explosive Gaze]
Transcendence: Currently unknown.
History: Zetsumei was born into a relatively normal family, the only real difference being that his mother was Albino. It’s not as if he ever thought a whole lot of it, despite looking almost exactly like her, except for the eye color that he’d obtained from his father, though he had started with hers. His first few years of life were relatively happy, very normal, though his parents worried slightly about him being teased in school because of his eyes, not thinking they’d care much about the other aspects of being an Albino. There worries were cured, however, a little after he turned three his eyes suddenly decided to dull to grey for no understandable reason. They didn’t question it much, especially since it happened to be the color of his father’s eyes.
He started school a few years later, getting along relatively well with his classmates. He didn’t get into any fights, nor did he have to deal with any kind of bullies or anything. He had a tendency to race the other kids on the play ground, or play tag, not minding being it cause he was always fast enough to catch them before to long. He stayed with good grades, following up with an interest in running, soon becoming an interest in track as the option became available to him. He always had good grades, not that he was a genius or anything, just that he didn’t struggle for them.
He stuck with Track throughout middle and high school as a way to keep in shape, only occasionally starting to notice a girl watching him from the stands when no one else bothered to come. He’d have assumed she was simply watching them all run, but her eyes stayed glued to him the whole time. Eventually, this was in freshman year of high school by the way, he decided to go up and talk to her after the run. She looked confused as he came up the stands, looking around as if trying to figure out who he was going to talk to, when he sat down on the lower bench facing her. ”Is it really that interesting to watch us run?” He asked, watching her, with a curious yet happy, if not amused, expression on his face.
Her reaction wasn’t exactly what he’d expect. ”You can see me?” She responded, sounding extremely confused, and leaving him to sudden hear another voice. ”Zetsumei! Who are you talking to?” came the sudden voice of one of his track mates. He turned to tell them about the girl, though just as he was half finishing the sentence and turning back she was gone. Vaguely confused, he ended up letting it go and heading along back to his house, since the meet was over.
It was about a week later that he started getting the headaches. They first started while he was at lunch, laughing with his friends, suddenly causing him to grip his skull in obvious pain. The other students let out a gasp, muttering something about his eyes going red. After it passed a few minutes later, the other students informed him of the color change, though it had already faded. This vaguely perplexed him, though it didn’t bother him too much, until it started happening more often, that is. He started getting them sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, eventually just getting one that wouldn’t go away no matter what he did.
It stuck with him, making him increasingly more irritable as the days drew on. That is, until one night, when he’d gone out for a run to hopefully distract himself from the pain in his head, that he happened to stop the girl again. She seemed to be talking to some kind of black blob with a white mask. She seemed scared, which actually kind of pissed him off. Here was this perfectly innocent little girl, if a little odd, and some kind of black blob monster was scaring her to death.
He gave the thing a death stare, walking towards the two of them, only to notice that his headache was starting to go away. It was as if, as he stared at the thing, he was pushing all of the pressure out of his eyes towards it. By the time he actually got to them, he couldn’t even be mad anymore, though the girl started saying something about making him run. All he cared about was staring at the thing, getting rid of his pain, until suddenly it was all gone and he could think clearly. With that he suddenly realized what he’d been doing, cutting off his eye contact for just a second, as if to try to take the girl and run, when suddenly the mask on the creature exploded.
Just like that, the headache was gone and his eyes had turned back to their natural grey. It was only then that someone in a black outfit showed up, thanking him for destroying the hollow, as if he’d actually done something. Then again, maybe he had. He said something about taking the girl on to heaven or something, before pressing his sword hilt to her forehead and seeming to turn her into a butterfly, before leaving him to stand there, more confused than he’d been in his entire life.
He let it go at first, simply deciding he’d imagined it and allowing himself to be glad that the headache was gone. This didn’t work, however, as he started seeing more and more of the black monsters. He did his best to ignore them at first, until the headaches came back, at least. Once they did, he started trying to focus intently on one of the black blobs, just to see what would happen. He felt the headache start to lesson, followed up a small explosion when he blinked, causing the creature to cry out in pain but not die like the last one. It turned towards him, meeting his gaze dead on.
This time, he focused purely on the mask, letting the headache go away completely, eventually starting to feel like he was actually losing a bit of energy. Once that happened, he blinked, causing the creatures face to suddenly explode, the rest of the body seeming to fade away. Now this was interesting, he had somehow gotten the ability to blow stuff up with a look. As far as he was concerned, that was a pretty awesome thing to be able to do. He’d also figured out that you could only kill the black monsters by taking out the masks, which was simple enough.
He started going out whenever he’d gotten a headache, challenging the hollows to staring contests with rules they couldn’t refuse. He said, should they win the match, he’d allow them to eat his soul, if not, they’d have to let him go free. He never lost. Really, he did quiet often, blinking first, however that only caused their faces to explode, leaving him as the true winner. After a while he started doing this about once or twice a week, eliminating the headaches completely.
Soon he discovered he didn’t need to risk his soul, however, finding he could release small bursts of energy without much harm, blowing a hole in a tree or taking down the occasional bird in a burst of feathers. He could do so for hours without getting tired, though if he charged it for too long he was left with a large hole where he’d been looking, followed up with extreme exhaustion. One time he even passed out, which made him start focusing more on being able to stop the charge, should he not want to use it right away. This turned out to be a relatively easy task, he even figured out how to retract power in the process, incase he accidentally used to much.
He survives now, though you may notice the occasional object or small animal exploding, he never seems to be caught watching, though always at the scene. Odd things happen in Karakura town, it seemed he was just one of its many oddities.
Name Bakuyaku Gyoushi (Explosive Gaze)
Level: very Low to Average depending on charge time.
Description: Bakuyaku Gyoushi is a chargeable attack, starting with the very lowest of damage levels. The attack itself is done by charging reiatsu into a fixed pointed with his eyes, then causing it to explode. He can withdraw the reiatsu back into himself, should he decide he not longer wishes to use the attack, he may also stop charging at a certain point to be ready to attack at a moments notice. Charging consists of him sitting there and staring at his target without doing anything, so don’t think that it’d really be that easy for him to complete an extremely power attack unless he was like sniping someone or something.
He can use the initial very low attack a nearly unlimited number of times, without any charge time whatsoever. Low is about the same as very Low, however requires about a 5 second charge time. Average can be done with a 15 second charge, all of which can be done in a single post, but average may only be done around 10 times. If your character has the ability to sense any Riastsu at all, he should be able to detect the energy being charged against them.
The explosions caused by the attack very in size and power, as perviously stated, from a very low, small explosion, to a Devastating explosion like being hit by a hi-powered missile. Very Low starts out as an explosion based on something about the size of a closed fist exploding, taking out everything within about a 2 foot radius once it does. After that, every other explosion doubles in size, since the power is doubled according to the rules of this site. The larger it is the more energy it'll take out of him, leaving him without the ability to use even his basic attack should he use anything higher than average the maximum number of uses.
Charge times and consequences will be reduced with upgrades as he grows in power. Also, his eyes glow red as he’s charging the attack, which can easily be dismissed as him simply being Albino. (May not be as dismissible should another character use this attack.)
Specific Rank up details as requested:
First upgrade: Very Low is removed, everything else moves down a charge time and consequence, granting High in place of Average
Second Upgrade: Low is removed, everything else moves down a charge time and consequence, Leaving Very High to replace High.
It continues in this fashion until upgrades stop, as I see no reason to list each specifically.
Restrictions: Must be a Advent Human, must have eyes as a focus.
This isn't as good as my original, but my browser crashed and deleted it, so you're all just going to half to settle for this crappy profile I made to replace it... I wasn't even going to do at all, but I really wanted to rp here.
