With A New Year Comes New Rules

Well guys, now that some time has passed, Staff has had a meeting and we've come to agreement on a few things. I'll be listing them here shortly, and please ensure that we take all the new things into account while you're RPing.

• Gravity Manipulation - We are currently not allowing ANY powers on any character to manipulate gravity. If you want to make something heavier, then it must be done with reiatsu that simply weighs an opponent down. Manipulation of Gravity and other forces will be automatically denied from this point forward.
  
  
• Passive Enhancements - We will not be allowing any passive enhancements to be passing anymore, and will be going through to look at any and all accepted profiles to make sure that we bring these abilities back. A passive enhancement is something that allows your character to permanently run/move/attack faster/stronger/better. We will allow you to have activate-able abilities that allow for temporary attacks (example would be one mega punch, or one quick dodge, etc.) However, abilities that are permanently active undermine our current system and would make it too hard to judge battles should the need arise.
  
  
• Sense Reiatsu - This will now be a passive ability gained by everyone at Rank 1. This ability is constantly active. This ability allows individuals to sense the reiatsu of others the same Rank or lower than them. If one truly focuses upon sensing reiatsu, then they are capable of sensing the reiatsu of opponents that are one rank higher than them. However, while concentrating on sensing, they are incapable of doing anything other than general melee or movement. They will be unable to access any special ability, including Traits, releasing Zanpakutou, Advents, Quincey Weaponry, or Fast Movement Techniques.
  
  
• Conceal Reiatsu - This will now be a passive ability gained by everyone at Rank 3. This ability is constantly active. This ability allows individuals to conceal their reiatsu from opponents who are of the same Rank or lower than the individual using the Conceal. If one were to truly focus on concealing their Reiatsu, they will be able to conceal it from opponents up to two Ranks higher than them, or unless the opponent has a special trait that allows them to sense higher-ranked opponents. (Yes, I am aware that the Concentrate Conceal is higher than the Concentrate Sense. It was meant to be this way.) However, while concentrating on sensing, they are incapable of doing anything other than general melee or movement. They will be unable to access any special ability, including Traits, releasing Zanpakutou, Advents, Quincey Weaponry, or Fast Movement Techniques.
  
  
• Posting in Accepted Profiles and Customs: Only the individual who made the profile/custom, or a member of staff, will be allowed to post in these threads. Any posting made by any individual outside of these individuals will result in a warning. If you have a problem with something that someone has accepted, then the proper way to handle it is to send a PM to Staff and we will review the situation. Posting in someone else's thread is rude and unacceptable.
  
  
• About Vaizards: I want to make this perfectly clear. As of right now, there should not be a singular character RPing who is aware of the existence of Vaizards. It is a secret kept hidden by the Shinigami of Seireitei and the Hollow in Hueco Mundo, and their unveiling will play a significant portion in a few events that we have planned out for the site. If you are currently RPing that your character is aware of what a Vaizard is, or of any Shinigami with a Hollow Mask, please halt and act as if you had never done so.
  
  
• Christmas Rank-Up Present: Require some written history, length based on the Rank that they're obtaining. One paragraph per Rank (example, if they were getting Rank 1, then they need one para; if they're getting Rank 6, they need 6 paras).
  
  
• Liquid RP and Ranks: If you start a thread with a character of one Rank, and Rank Up from a different thread, then for the entire duration of that thread, you are still considered to be whatever Rank you were when you joined. If you join a new thread, then that thread is when you will be the new Rank.

Due to some questions that have come up, I need to take the time to say some things.

Firstly, regarding Shunpo/Sprint/other fast movement techniques: Many people have asked if you can attack during your fast-movement-attack. The quick answer is "No". However, you are capable of utilizing your Shunpo to attack; for example: Unsheathing your sword and pointing it towards your opponent, and then using Shunpo, to attempt to impale the target. Shunpo, and all of its' variations, in and of itself is a fast-paced Linear movement from one point to another. You can do whatever set-up you want to do before you perform the Shunpo. However, you are NOT capable of slashing/attacking/performing any other action once you've activated your Shunpo until you've come to a complete halt.

Another question about Shunpo has been that asked; how far can it travel? The standard Shunpo movement is 10 meters. However, there is no technical maximum or minimum limit towards ones Shunpo. Utilizing additional Reiatsu, you can greatly extend the length of your Shunpo and, for instance, use it to move over a large chasm or the like. However, it should be noted that to increase your distance on Shunpo, you utilize a large amount of Reiatsu. Going anywhere between 20-50 meters can be very draining, while going further than 100 meters can put you near exhaustion, while going further than that can put you on the brink of death.

Complete Threads for Rank Up: It should be noted that ONLY COMPLETE THREADS CAN BE USED TO RANK UP. What constitutes a complete thread? When your character is finished with the thread and exits. If the thread still continues from other people, that's fine, as long as your character is complete with his or her interaction in there. Please note that we'll be looking at your involvement in the thread, and not the other people's, when deciding on whether or not to accept your Rank Up.

Another reminder: THERE SHOULD BE NO PC (PERSONAL CHARACTER) THAT IS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT WHAT A VAIZARD IS. YOU HAVE NOT ENCOUNTERED ANY. IF YOU ARE RPING AS SUCH, CORRECT IT.

It's finally been decided that, from now on, we will not be accepting applications for Vaizard. There will be a new process for Vaizard Acceptance.

• Vaizards are still Admin Approval only. Both admins must approve of the Vaizard before it can be accepted.
  
• All characters that wish to become Vaizards will start as a Shinigami and post their original bio as only a Shinigami.
  
• At Rank 9, an individual Shinigami can post an application for Vaizard, that includes their Hollow Mask, their initial Hollow power, as well as all of the threads that they have participated in.
  
• You will be graded on several criteria; RP ability, creativity, and activity will remain the main focuses on the grading process. If you picked on lower-ranked members, or ganged up on other fighters, then you will have less of a chance of becoming a Vaizard.
  
• If accepted, you will need to RP your transition into obtaining the Hollow Mask. You will also need to post to understand your Hollow powers, which are gained at Rank 10.
  
• Shinigami with Dual Zanpakutou are not allowed to be a Vaizard.
