The seemingly small dull town of Karakura, was in fact not dull at all. Upon arriving to Karakura Town Thermidor was surprised at the booming amount of activity there had been. He had picked Karakura Town originally for how small and insignificant it was, seeking to start his tour as an official Neo Quincey with a small area with few incidents to get used to it all. Contrary to his assuming that Karakura Town would be this small place with few incidents, there was many. Arriving that first day he was faced with a hollow right in the beginning and things haven’t died down since.
A few days into his work in Karakura Town he was faced with a new being, something he had not learned of or encountered before; an advent human. This advent human, just a young boy had been given the gift of amazing powers. Specifically the boy could seemingly manipulate water to a certain degree, forcing it to do whatever he wished whenever he wished. Though Thermidor at the time couldn’t figure out why the boy had this ability, he later speculated on the reasoning. The oddity of Karakura Town seemed to have sparked an evolutionary change in normal man, all the spirit energy being tossed around in the town had rubbed off on individuals giving them these mysterious abilities.
At the same time he and the Advent Human were faced with a most peculiar hollow. The hollow came in the guise of man, attempting to fool the duo. Though they approached him several times, explaining that they knew he was not human, he seemingly didn’t comprehend. He wished so much so to be human that he continually attempted to fool the pair. Eventually, an inevitable battle sparked between the three – the advent human and Thermidor battling the hollow. In the end, the hollow managed to flee, and the both the Advent Human and Thermidor left with minor injuries.
A second hollow was encountered during a random walk through the river park, literally. A shinigami was battling, a hollow during the day before Thermidor encountered them both. Joining in on the fray, the battle turned ugly quick, the Hollow both smarter and stronger than most. However, that wasn’t the worst part. During the battle the Hollow evolved, turning into a full fledged Gillian. Before things got too dangerous, Thermidor realizing that he was out of his league, he fled, leaving the Shinigami to her devices. He knew that nothing good was to come of further battle with the beast. |
