The blade would stop not far from his face, though Ichidou wouldn't blink, this had been done to him so many times in the academy when they taught him to keep his eyes open when needed. "Very well, it's settled then." Ichidou would get up and unsheathe his Zanpactou. Taking up position about ten meters from his opponent he would make the neccesary bow and ready his sword, pointing the end at his opponent. "Ready? Set, Go!" [/blockquote] Even though I was Rank 0 when I entered this thread I take it that you have no problem with me acting as a rank 1 from now on.

OOC- I have absolutely no problem with it, but the rules do. I am rank 1 as well, but entered at 0 so we are on par there. Rules are as rules be.
My opponent would simply stand there, instead of take this opportunity of abeyance within the fight. It was almost as if he were trying to prolong the fight for me to attack first. It was odd to say the list, however, I would take it he was more of a defensive based Shinigami rather than offensive as he allowed me to plan out my form of attack. Swinging my Zanpakutou back up, clutching it with both hands, I would begin my default sprint towards the enemy for a 'feeler' in the strains of battle. This would act as a test for my acquainted foe, however, acquainted or not, he would be treated as an enemy until the commencement determining the ending of the fight.
Upon reaching three feet from him, I would bring bring my sword downwards rather quickly in a slant, aiming for his right shoulder towards the left side of his waist. My weight would be shifted towards the momentum of the blade as it was brought down with swift force. Had the Zanpakutou reached my adversaries flesh, it would manage to shred the skin, penetrating the bone entirely, possibly leaving a chance of breakage. This would not be fatal, just incredibly painful blow dealt with precision. Of course, my opponent was probably not about to allow the first blow be the last, as he would react accordingly to the move.
His counter would become my counter, as soon as he reacted to block my blade, I would Shunpo to the left of him, now on his left side, the blade would be grasped tightly, hands coiled entirely around the hilt of the blade, my Zanpakutou would be extending outwards in a horizontal fashion as I would thrust my weight in with the weight of Flash Step in the side of my opponent. This blow would be almost simultaneous with my opponents reactions, as the blade would slice through the air, slashing down upon his shoulder, and upon instant collision with either skin or the blade, I would reappear to the right side of him, leaving an opening for an attack. Whether he decided to block, or an averting side step of some kind, I would no longer be upon the position to where I was only a second ago, but arriving to deliver a painful blow.
The precision to the attack was near flawless, as the weight of the Zanpakutou would bring my entire strength into a jab directly towards his side, capable of puncturing deeply. It was not likely to miss, but my opponent's reiatsu could be sensed from me greatly, giving me a clear indication that he was not much of a higher rank than I. This empowered me, allowing for chances to be taken as our skill would be closely related to one another. I would wait for the predicament of my opponents reactions. Had the blow landed successfully, or had he obtained the miraculous ability to defend against a quite swift and near impervious to a flaw source of an attack.
Only time would tell.
1/4 Shunpo used. [/i]

Rank 0 it is then Coming straight at Ichidou, not even using a Shunpo, this would probably be the easy part. When a bit less then a meter away from each other the samurai would clash down his blade. Having anticipated a strike from the start Ichidou would do the most logical thing, jumping back about a meter, this would unbalance his opponent at least a bit now his blade would meet noting but air.
"My will to succeed be the rope that sustains you; let my breath of light be the light to guide you. Bakudo no Yon: Hainawa!" The Shinigami would speak, the shortest incantation he knew, steadily stepping away from his opponent whilst he spoke, keeping his sword pointed at the opponent. From his right hand he would shoot a chain of light at his opponent, aimed at the closest object there was, his opponents sword.
Should the chain wrap around it he would tug it, trying to pull the sharp object from his opponents grasp, or if his opponent decided to hold on to the object, pulling forward the entire guy. With his opponent either disarmed or leaning forward out of balance, Ichidou would Shunpo forward, past the useless sword and place his blade in front of his opponents throat. [/blockquote] Bakudō No. 4: Hainawa (Way of Binding No. 4: Crawling Rope)v Type: Binding Art. Description: An ability that is both simplistic and useful, and as such it can commonly be seen in practice. It is especially favored amongst members of the Fourth Division, who cannot get a patient to stop struggling against treatment. Gathering Reiatsu, the user will speak the incantation, and then condense the energy as a chain of light from the index and middle fingers of the user's dominant hand, which are held together. The chain will then quickly fly towards the opponent, attempting to act as a restraint to prohibit the opponent from moving. Once bound, the chain is capable of being tied to another object to hold the opponent; the user is not required to maintain the connection between the chain and their hand, allowing them to then perform other actions. Incantation: My will to succeed be the rope that sustains you; let my breath of light be the light to guide you. Bakudo no Yon: Hainawa! Restrictions: ---

OOC- Uhh? Critical Hit if this sight has one. You completely failed to regard the second portion of my attack, that being the Shunpo and stabbing to your left side. Thus, successful hit, and no defense against it. Regardless if this sight doesn't have Critical Hit, it is still a landed hit, and a very severe one at that. It would appear that my opponent was too slow to react to my attacks. Upon his sudden step back, I would instantly Flash Step to the side of the Shinigami as he proceeded with his incantation. For some obscure reason, my opponent expected me to be directly in front of him, however, this was not the case. I would reappear to his side, where I would lunge my sword directly into the side of my opponent. The Zanpakutou would puncture his side, slicing through his ribcage and entering his stomach region. My speed had been far more superior to him as I could grant the fact that he couldn't even see my movements as he was attempting to attack head on even though I was to the side of him.
The reaction would be literally impossible, as the blade would penetrate him deep through his internal domain. Reaching a deep foot within, I would not simply retract the Zanpakutou by pulling it through the same way it came, however, I would pull through the remaining skin to slice through his stomach. The sword would enter through the side, and be forcefully removed through his stomach, leaving a severed abdominal as it would spill out blood. This wound could have possibly been fatal if I had aimed for internal organs, however, I would only shred through skin and bone. This wound would amount to extensive pain, leaving him in complete shambles.
The sword would be removed from his body, as I would not end here. To make sure this battle was completely over, I would Shunpo directly to his backside, upon the right, where I would bring clutch the hilt of the blade surpassing superior force in a downward motion as it would be brought painfully upon his right shoulder. It would push through his shoulder blade, slicing through bones and tendons; flush. I would slide it out aggressively where it would splatter blood upon the floor. In all this, my face remained immensely still, as the blood of war had no effect on me. My emotions were slim in a calm state of mind, but when in the heat of battle, all seemingly found emotions were long gone. My face was blank, as a flick of blood would splash across my left cheek. I would wipe it with my two fingers, looking directly upon my blade. Fiinikkusu had been coated with a thick shade of crimson, as the blood trickled down the tip of the blade.
I would take a prolonged step back, as I watched my opponent fall victim to a serious attack. The first attack had been inflicted great pain upon him, as it shredded through him from the inside out. It left a wide gash in the side of his body to the center of his gut, leaving him shattered with immense torture. Upon the second attack, my speed being greater than his and with a single Shunpo, I would penetrate his right shoulder, bringing it through bone which would greatly add to the substantial pain this Shinigami was forced to endure. My hand would reach over, grabbing the back of his neck pushing against the pressure points on it. This allotted a tight grip upon him as I held my Zanpakutou tightly with my right hand, pushing the bloody tip into his back. The pressure I applied with the sword was not to penetrate the skin, but a sharp sting to his back to indicate that I was ready to stab through him if he made any sudden movements.
Although this had simply been a duel to victory, and not to death, the way I went about it was the intent to kill. Of course, I would not do so, however, I would release the vibe that murder was only a few seconds away, as it would instill fear into the hearts of my opponent. The blade would be pressed against him, waiting for any tense movements to simply apply a minute amount of pressure where it would penetrate deep into the Shinigami's back, ultimately finishing the duel once and for all if it hadn't been already. The excruciating pain from the previous attacks would leave my opponent inoperable and immobilized. I would speak for the first time in our fight, subjecting him to the knowledge that I considered this matter over, and would no longer wish to continue our fight, for any more injury upon the boy would lead to certain death.
"In respect to you, I wish you would raise the white flag, as any more injury will provide fatality to you. In your condition, I do not believe you can go on. You may be able to stand and fight, however, this is not a fight to the death, and I declare myself the victor." [/center][/blockquote] This was not being cocky in any sense of the word. I was looking out for a fellow comrade, whom I wouldn't wish to fight any longer. I was hoping to settle the fight through the use of words, instead of the use of the blade. Hopefully, this man would not take my words to a derogatory stature, as they were simply kind words that were upholding the noble cause that I stood by. Some may view the fight as the intent to kill, blood seeking malice, however this was only the intensity I gave off amidst a battle. In all respect to this man, I declared my self the victor to not prolong a death that had already been given the conclusion. [/size][/i]

Yup, imma screwed, I must've been sleepin when I wrote that >.> It all went so fast, a blow through his guts, followed almost directly by a blow on the shoulder before he could properly react or make up his mind. Falling to his knees he would react with a primitive and useless reflex, preventing his guts from falling out by holding his arm in front of him, whilst leaning on his sword with the other. His opponent released his reiatsu for a second, but Ichidou wouldn't care, he was going to die anyways.
It was at this moment that he would notice a sword poking his back and his opponent speaking. His injury seemed to be not as dangerous as he had thought. A small fight, which had immediately shown his greatest weaknesses, speed and initiative. "You've fought valiant, and I have learned quite a bit from this. I must surely thank you for this fight, however short it has been. Let's indeed not fight to the death, since this was meant to be a friendly spar. [/blockquote]

Ichidou would kneel in loss of balance. The pain most of been in abundance, as the wound that lay torn in his side and gut was massive. He would speak in forfeit, and I would release my sword from pressing against his back. I would bring my elbow outwards, to allow room to sheath Fiinikkusu. She would enter her domestication, and hide away until the next battle. My new comrade had described me as Valiant, and I would take this compliment greatly. The battle certainly had been short, but yet, I too had learned quiet a great deal about myself in this friendly spar. The wound I exposed on my opponent was not fatal, for the depth of which it plunged into his side, and the area of travel was not life threatening. Purposefully, I managed to avoid his organs, only cutting through bone and skin. Of course, this would be excessively painful, and he may have been in great turmoil, I felt as if he would not account for fatality.
"A worthy battle, Ichidou. Through short battles reaps great knowledge. Through knowledge grants reward. We have both earned such things today, and we shall both learn the strains of battle. I know I will apply this knowledge to all forms of battle, and I thank you, Hosokawa Ichidou." [/center][/blockquote] If the man required assistance, that being he wasn't able to manage on his own, of course I would be able to lend a hand. For I was not one to leave a struggling ally on his own. However, this man appeared quite well, strong, fit, and able. He may have been able to escort himself to the Hospital by his own means, however, if he so as made a slight gesture to ask, I would instantly accept. Obliged to give a helping hand, I would extend my hand outwards to lift him up. When he accepted, I would hoist him upright, where I would proceed in bowing, releasing the final words. [/center][/blockquote] I would vanish. 4/4 Shunpo used for, ||exit. [/size][/i]
